KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER!   In this game, I control what you find and what you have - you can't pull something out of nothing! However, to increase your chances of finding something, try key phrases such as "search the area" or "look for food" or "fish" or "hunt", etc. When you want to move areas, tell me which direction you want to go, or list a specific region of the map.


1.       Status: Energy, Hunger, Thirst.
a.       You start with 24 Energy points. Performing different actions lowers your energy points; being awake lowers energy points. Sleeping regains energy points. When your energy points fall below a critical level (3 points) your fighting rolls are negatively affected.
b.      You start with 32 Hunger Points. Moving around lowers hunger points; being awake lowers hunger points. Eating regains hunger points. When your hunger points fall below a critical level (5), your performance is negatively affected. If your hunger points reach 0, you die.
c.       You start with 32 Thirst Points. Moving around and performing actions lowers thirst points; being awake lowers thirst points. Drinking regains thirst points. When your thirst points fall below a critical level (5), your performance is negatively affected. If your thirst points reach 0, you die.

2.       Talents and Abilities: Talents to be used in the field. Each ability helps you out in one way or another, though some may also hurt your chances of survival even as they help you. (Example: fire building). Each character is allowed two talents, plus one additional bonus talent based on their district (i.e., district one will automatically have at least one melee talent; district 11 might get tracking or edibles). Talents can have specific abilities attached – abilities are the code words you must use to activate a certain talent.


Your code words: ATTACK; so long as you have a hand-to-hand weapon, you will get bonus attack points.
SET SNARE, SET TRAP, CREATE HAMMOCK. Note: rope is needed to accomplish these feats. After setting a snare you will need to return to check your snare for food. Same goes with trap; however, no matter where you are, you will be notified if your trap had been set off. Creating a hammock makes it harder for people to find you at night.

Gameplay
1.       Moving
a.       Each tribute will be given a blank map at the start of the game. They can fill this map out as they go. There are 23 Zones in the map.
b.      When you are in a zone you can search for food, set up camp, make a trap, whatever you like; certain activities will eat up your status points, so be careful.
c.       Walking through a zone exhausts 4 Energy, 2 Hunger, 2 Thirst.
                                                               i.      We suggest mainly walking through zones. As sleeping for 8 hours only replenishes 20 Energy points, we suggest walking a maximum of 4 zones per day, leaving 4 energy points for activities like hunting or making camp.
                                                             ii.      You would walk into a zone, and then later decide what zone you will move to next.
d.      Running through a zone exhausts 8 Energy, 4 Hunger, 4 Thirst.
                                                               i.      Running through a zone leaves no time to search the zone you’re running through.
                                                             ii.      When running through a zone, you must choose which surrounding zone you want to go to. ((example; I want to run through zone A2. I will have to say where I want to end up – either B2, A3, or B3. You will be transferred there before you can perform any abilities))
e.      Staying Put exhausts 1 Energy, 1 Hunger, 1 Thirst.
                                                               i.      You can repeatedly examine/search an area to wipe it clean if you stay in that zone for multiple turns.
                                                             ii.      How quickly those energy, hunger and thirst points are exhausted is up to the host (i.e., deciding not to leave your zone all day will exhaust more than just one point of each status) based on how the game is unfolding.
2.       Items
a.       You’ll gather items through examining or searching an area; you’ll gain more if a specific skill is involved. Items could be food, sleeping bags, backpacks, water bottles, etc.
b.      If your Champion purchases an item for you, you will be notified by a beeping and blinking parachute.
3.       Fighting
a.       When you engage another tribute, you can choose to talk them into being your ally, but most of the time it’ll end in a fight where one of you dies.
b.      When you spot another tribute, you can choose to sneak around them (to try to get away without them noticing you in return; this’d involve a roll for success), to ambush them (a bonus point to your roll), or to announce your presence and declare a fight or try to win an alliance.

c.       When you are spotted by another tribute, you can choose to turn and engage them, or run away! You can totally roll to run away and either try to escape or run them dry of energy.
