Ok here is where you can post ideas for games for us to do, how they should be run and who wants to run them. We need flash based games, forum based games, and puzzle/printable based things as well. These are games for DURING the Olympics. I will make a thread for Pre-Olympics contests/games (like design a team uniform, etc.)

Ok, we don't want to have TOO much going on. But i think 3-4 games in each category would be really sufficient.  Please post any suggestions for games, ones you think we should use from the old list, and if you want to run any.

NOTE: These are games that have been SUGGESTED. If i put your name by it its to give you credit for suggesting it... it doesn't mean you have to run it. Please post which games you want to RUN and I will add a new list of the Game Runners.

Also thoughts on using this website to maybe do a couple of games? http://www.pogo.com/

You can sign up and we can do multiplayer, but I'm thinking itmight be easier for people to just take screen shots of their scores.

Hmmm... I'll go with more puzzle contests and chess, maybe?

Can you be specific on what types of puzzles? Also how would you run Chess? Online Flash type game?

I just need specifics so I can add it up there. ^^

can you take crosswords off for me please? I think i just want to focus on word searches.

no worries. i would like to host word search games.

I can make extra Guess the Quote rounds for the event if needed. But it's not really a game that can be "themed", so if other games are preferred that's fine.

Maybe what you earn goes towards the Olympics compared to just regular points. You make a new thread each week, so you can tweak it for the Olympics and go from there. When the Olympics are over you'll go back to the old format. You just copy and paste anyway.

Not understanding that too much (maybe explain it better for me). We'll be having a section for the events. So Olympic games will be their own thing separate from the normally run GC games. "Points" earned in thee games don't go towards the site points (that you use to buy things). Thee points are to tally up for the Olympics to see whcih team wins once its over and all.

For the puzzles, I was thinking of something like an extension of our current puzzle contest.

i think i'm going to go with my "guess the screencap/image" contest. the comic strip idea is something i got from a forum i used to frequent back in the day ('sweet' if anybody here is a clana stan :3) and while it's all types of hilarious and fun, there's no real surefire way of judging it without being biased, because everyone's sense of humor is different.

i've already gotten the idea for formatting pretty well thought out, all i need to know is how long the initial games will last and if each event would be put into its own time slot per day like the actual olympics. it would be pretty stressful to run a game all day for 7 days (or however long our games may be) but i'm up for the challenge

Hm yeah, that is something we'll have to decide about how long some games should last etc. I need to verify with Mars the time period of the Olympics and everything. But i think tha twould work!

I know a lot of times with the guessing games, people would start a round as soon as one finished or they just did it as they had time. So even if the olympics lasts a whole week, its not required to have a round each day. Though I think we'll hammer some of that out soonish.

Could I possibly run Bingo and the Guess the Song special rounds?

(Also, this does not quite count as a Printable Game, but if the coloring contest was a traditional one, would it be partially similar to that kind of contest?)

Yes and yes to the coloring contest, that can work! I think printables might be some of the puzzles (i know you can DO the wordsearch on the computer but i like the print them out, along with other puzzle like things), but if you have any other ideas, let me know.

Dude I'm totally up for hosting Robot Unicorn Attack xD And if no one else is already hosting the Winter Outfit Contest that Saturn suggested could I do that too? Although could "Winter Outfit" be explained? xD

From what Saturn had explained, entrants take pictures of themselves in their best winter outfits (at least thats what i understood xD)? Ooorrr we could also go the doll maker route and do best winter outfit that way as well. Or use sites like polyvore.

And yes, I don't know if Saturn actually wanted to host the WInter Outfit contest, if not, then you are more than welcome to host it! and also yes to Robot Unicorn. ^_^

Ummm Mars is out of town this weekend but i'll pester her about it again when she gets back. I think we were aiming for end of Feb? But i wanted to make sure cause i don't remember the discussion or where it WAS discussed to even look it up. xD

I'm trying to figure out what game I could host/help out with. I'm not good at graphics or advanced computer programs.

Well we have other people good at graphics to make things for us, so no need to worry about that! You could always host a game, like be the one to set up the thread for it and what not.
