This is the thread for planning the Post-Olympics things. Like awards.  

We will need people who are helping to keep track of who has won what and tallying up points for each team.  We also should have an award ceremony to give out the prizes to who won what.


Ideas:
Team with the Most Points/Overall winner award
Maybe Bronze, Silver, Gold side bumper awards for each individual game
Winner of the Most Gold Awards
Most Spirited Award (for those who helped cheer on?)



Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Sooo if I wanna sign up to help with handing out award any such do I sign up here? Or is this thread strictly for planning out the awards things? xD

Jumping into this a bit late, so sorry if this has already been covered - are there going to be team captains? Are there just two teams? How many people in each team? Because there could obv be the prize for overall team, and runner up team, but then it could be up to the team captains to give out some set awards too, like "Most Events Entered", "Best Team Player", "Most Spirited"  in their own teams? I might have the wrong idea about how this is running, I still need to catch up with Mars. Bad helper alert ._.

Oh, and - I know this isn't the sign up thread but would Award Givers have to be impartial also?

For the awards, I was thinking it'd be kinda like the anni. Once everything has been tallied up and we got winners, etc. We have a few people make a little fun post and give out the award. Or we maybe just have one big thread thats like an awards ceremony?

I was thinking for the possible individual Bronze, Silver, Gold bumper you would get for each event (and i'm thinking the graphic can be the same for ALL the events and have a thread for people to post how many they won...? something like that??) after the event ends.

Then major award ceremony.

As for team captains, I have NOOO idea if we want to do that (thats mostly a mars question). I'm a bit inclined to say no because we are trying to keep it a bit simpler and we already have lots of other things to plan. (Not sure if we are going to do just two teams or a few teams either).

Yeah, standard bumpers for bronze, silver and gold seem fair I think, unless it could be like a sprite sized medal, so people could have like:

1x(bronze medal) 1x(silver medal) 3x(gold medal)

..under their siggy? And maybe separate participation bumpers for each event?

Hmm, don't know. Don't think this is the right place for this stuff anyways, so back to the original point: yes, to bronze, silver and gold for each event (each event has it's own awards ceremony post) but I still think it'd be fun to have extra, not-all-about-winning awards too. That would probably depend on how many teams and therefore how many in each team.

Well this is for awards planning so we can discuss what they should look like...cause I like that idea of the sprite sized.

Ok for the Bronze, Silver, Gold medals we have them this size: They can put how many they've won in smalled sized text next to it.

Then each event has a participant bumper (100x100px) that everyone can get and use in their sigs whether or not they placed. yes yes me likey.

Any other ideas for awards or is this good enough?

What Brit said. Plus with the winning team also getting gold, silver, bronze.

Ok for the awards I have:

-Over Winning Team
-2nd and 3rd place team
-Award for Highest Scoring Player
-Winner of Most Awards
-Most Spirited
-Team nominations of their MVP (one for each team)
-Best Participant (member who entered the most games/contests)


and... anything else?

We will also need awards and things. I also was thinking it'd be cute to send a congratulations card to the team members that won (like in the mail) with like a little medal thing in it. It'd be nice if we could get a card designed and i'd go get it printed. ^^ I don't mind spending the money on it cause i just like the idea so much. xD The member of course would have to feel comfortable giving me their address. So it can be an optional thing.


And besides that, we'll need a few award givers. Should we make different threads or have one thread? Maybe a light RP awards ceremony ball??

Can I get some help with setting up the light RP awards ceremony? We have some time before we have to do it since not all the games are done, but i want to be ready to go once they are done with. ^_^

Ok, we will need someone to set up a thread thats kinda like an RP Event thing, explaining that light RP is encouraged and feel free to be in forum character. Then a few of us will need to RP hand out the awards. If we wrote out some of the opening stuff and awards speech posts now, it'll make it easy to just copy/paste when it comes time to start the ceremony. ^_^

We are going for similarness with GC anni.

Okay I went to the dollar store today and found little cheap medals. xD I'm getting Mercury to make me a little card I can fold up, but i kinda want to include something else small and cute? (like a pack of stickers? except i prolly won't be able to find SM stickers D:) Thoughts?

Aw thanks guys. ^_^  I am currently making the form for the teams to nominate their MVPs.  Then once the hunger games and bingo end, I can tally up the points, get merc to make the awards, and then we can start the awards.
