| The 24th Annual Hunger Games is about to begin! The Reaping has chosen by blind lottery this years contestants in these most honorable and exciting games! Here we have their names and a short clip of their reaping earlier today! - Tributes and Reapings:
District One Luxury Items - A Career DistrictDenim Dove District TwoMasonry and Weaponry, Trains, Peacekeepers - A Career DistrictRex - Ribbon:
Moods were high and lively in District 2 on Reaping Day, not like in some of the outlying districts. In District 2, Reaping Day was a celebration to honor their allegiance to Panem. It reinforced the historic significance of their alignment during the First Rebellion. The people of District 2 believed in the strength of their nation through support of their fine Capitol.Ribbon stood tall and proud amid the other members of her class, in a grandstand set up near their central town's square. Above them loomed the shadow of the massive mountain that served as the as the military command center for all of Panem. As she stared out into the crowd, Ribbon could just make out the figures of her father and eldest brother. Their white uniforms were bright and crisp, and the emblems that marked her father as Head Peacekeeper for District 2 sparkled in the sunlight. She knew that her mother was elsewhere in the crowd, standing amid shopkeepers and others who ranked relatively higher in their district. She knew that her youngest brother waited patiently in the orderly rows of the group for his age, and the two slightly older than him were somewhere in the upper levels of the grandstand with the lower-level academy classes. The ceremony began with fanfare that sent quiet shivers of thrill through all present. Rapt faces stared up at the recording from the Capitol, transfixed and excited. Ribbon kept calm, not betraying the fluttering that she felt inside. Her brown eyes carefully followed the escort for District 2, Diama Steinn, as the elaborately-dressed woman elegantly sauntered up the stairs to the stage. As Diama approached the central podium, the applause from the crowd mounted to a deafening volume. The woman from the Capitol smiled and waved politely until the cheers dissolved to a low murmur. Ribbon felt her breath catch in her throat."Greetings, District 2! We are gathered for the momentous occasion of the 24th Annual Hunger Games!"Again, the applause rang out, overwhelming everything. Diama was patient."I am pleased to select this year's tributes from District 2!"The glass orb, filled with snippets of paper, was presented before her by the mayor. It was unnecessary, but the gesture was performed every Reaping Day."I now select one lucky young lady to represent this fine district!" the escort announced, although her hand did not reach into the bowl of paper strips. Brilliantly green eyes, modified to catch the light like a cat's, looked expectantly towards the grandstand. Ever-so-slightly, the woman nodded.Ribbon raised her arm into the air, announcing the words clearly and slowly to the vast crowd."I volunteer as tribute for District 2!"The voice hardly seemed like it was hers, but she felt her mouth form the words. For a moment there was complete silence, and then the crowd was cheering again, the voices rising to an indistinguishable noise that surrounded everything. Her feet stepped forward, carrying her body down the few stairs of the grandstand's lowest level. She didn't have to weave through the other students. The academy's volunteers were decided by scores of nominated graduating-class students, and those selected as volunteers were seated in the center aisle of the front row for ease of access. Before she knew it, she was standing on the stage, shaking hands and exchanging smiles with Diama Steinn and the crowd. Then the spectacle was repeated, this time for the young men. Soon Rex had joined them on stage, grinning and enjoying the rush of excitement. Diama instructed the two tributes to shake hands, then took Ribbon's hand with her left and Rex's hand with her right, raising both tributes' arms into the air. A cannon boomed overhead, and confetti and glitter rained down on the stage and the audience. Spools of paper unfurled over the crowd, and the revelry intensified.Okay, I got a little bit out of hand and I haven't answered all the questions yet, so I leave you with that written bit and these notes:Ribbon's family:Father - Head Peacekeeper, District 2MotherEldest brother, Casimir (23) - PeacekeeperYounger brother, Godfrey (15) - Academy studentYounger brother, Martin (13) - Academy studentYoungest brother, Tyrk ( - Prospective Academy studentRibbon's family are Peacekeepers and Career tributes.Ribbon is very close to all of her brothers, especially Tyrk and Casimir. Her relationship is somewhat estranged with her father, who has pressured her to become a Peacekeeper and Career tribute while continuously criticizing her and her efforts. It seems like he really doesn't know how to act with a daughter, and their relationship has suffered for it.Ribbon was involved in a romantic relationship with one of Casimir's friends, Baror. Her family doesn't know about this, and the romantic relationship was rather new. However, she broke up with him immediately prior to before Reaping Day, because she didn't want him to feel obligated to her or her memory when she volunteered. District ThreeGeneral ElectronicsFrank Frances District FourFishing - A Career District- Raymond:
One day, a 5 year old Raymond was sitting by the door of his poor house by the town dumpster, a few yards away from the
equally dirty river. Vultures were everywhere, salvaging on the trash left by the old, polluting trucks the district hall
never cared to maintenance.
His mother was busy for the day, hanging clothes by the veranda, if you could call it that, with her newest infant by the
flimsy wooden stroller. Little did she know that said infant was dead, bitten by a snake in the leg just moments ago.
Upon discovering it ,she raised him by the leg, took one last thousand mile stare at him, and threw him to the vultures.
For her, it was one less mouth to feed. For Raymond, it was the childhood memory that would define him.
11 years later, Raymond was a fisherboy with no prospects of growth, his life sucked out of him. Aside from the small
change he would make for his fishing, his mother would always enroll him for monthly rations that she would give to his
younger, louder brothers and sisters. Raymond spited them for their spoiled life, never caring for the little he could give
them against his will.
One faithful day, upon arriving home late in the afternoon with his modest harvest of fish, his mother came out the front
door before he could come him and handed him a letter: It was his reaping.
- Leave that stinking fish on the ground, you don't need it anymore. Your father stank like that his whole life, and so did
you. I'll be out of ration now, so I don't have any reason to put up with you any longer. You leave now before I call the
guards to take you away!
And with that, Raymond sulkily assembled his few scrap clothes and his father's machete which he always used to disembowel
fish. The kids were all jumping around and mocking Raymond, calling him "Deadfish" Raymond. He could not whack them for his
mother would take measures.
He left on a cold night breeze, and being halfway to town he started crying. He could not see how his life would go on from
there, nor how had it mattered to this point. After a while, he stood up again with a cold glance amidst tears and while
looking at his father machete in front of him, thought:
"Maybe disemboweling people isn't too diferent..."
And kept on walking...
Rina District FivePowerAdam - Ana:
As the sun’s rays began washing over the land chasing away the darkness Ana sat at the border of district five. Today was supposed to be her last day, her last chance at being chosen as tribute. If she didn't get chosen today then she would be free, as free as she could be. Every year her chances grew as she placed her name in the bucket one more time plus the few times she had traded her name to help out her father and Derek and Daniel her twin brothers when times got tough. But on this day Ana felt no peace, there was no calm to surround her for it would be the twins first year at The Reaping. They only put their names in once but Ana had learned that fate was cruel when an accident on the job took her mother’s life just a few years after the twins had been born. There was no way to tell who would be taken this year. As the morning wore on Ana left her quiet refuge for a town that bustled around nervously as it did every year. The people tried to carry on as though their children weren't being ripped from their hands forced to play a death game. The smiles the adults were on their faces twitched, their lives were safe, but their children’s’, not so much. Ana walked through the town without talking to anybody, she didn't much care for people. She arrived at her house to find it eerily quiet. When Ana walked in the kitchen she found her father and Derek and Daniel sitting at the table making a pathetic attempt at eating breakfast. Of course they were afraid what else is there to feel? Ana put a hand on each boy’s shoulder and smiled. “Cheer up,” she said. “Your names have only been put in once, there’s nothing to worry about.” She squeezed their shoulders with as much reassurance as possible. Then a gong sounded announcing the call to assemble. Ana stood up straight, smoothed her hair and looked her brothers. It was time. Ana made sure that the twins were in their place before kissing them goodbye on the forehead, they didn't protest this time. Ana stood in line with the other seventeen-year olds as they nervously shifted around. How cruel chance would be if they were chosen to be tribute on their final year. The representative stood up on the stage and gave some long speech about how it was such an honor to be a tribute and to give your life for the colony. Ana didn't listen too much else as her mind wandered to the rustling of the grass and the whispers of the wind attempting to calm herself. Then the atmosphere shifted and she knew a name was being drawn. All was quiet. “Ana Quincy,” the lady said quite loudly. Ana’s heart stopped, she wanted to run, to hide but she knew better. Not now, not here, not where Derek, Daniel, and father can see she thought. She steeled herself and walked towards the front of the assembly only allowing herself a quick glance at each member of her family. What happened next was all a blur, a male tribute was chosen but Ana didn't know him or pay much attention to him. They were whisked away to be prepared for what came next. District SixTransportationLarse Lana District SevenLumberLance - Luanne:
Lunanne is fourteen years old with wavy blond hair and green eyes. She's about 4'9 inches tall. She may be small in stature but she makes up for it in strength. She's very strong but also many overlook this because of her height. She's the youngest of three brothers and was randomly chosen in the reaping but is very excited to compete. She loves to climb trees and is very good with a spear. She hardly ever misses and can throw long distances. She seems as harmless as a dove, but she's a cunning serpant underneath it all. Ribbon wears a white skirted jacket in based on this design, with stone and diamond buttons: https://i.imgur.com/iv6bFqy.jpg The belt is black, with a large stone and diamond cluster buckle. The jacket has three stripes at the wrist--the outer stripes are thick and the center stripe is thinner.
Rex and Ribbon wear metallic silver shirts based on this design, but Ribbon's shirt cannot be seen: https://i.imgur.com/riMroSA.jpg The shirts have three stripes at the wrist--the outer stripes are thick and the center stripe is thinner. Also, their shirts have stand-up collars, and there is a thick black line around the top edge, and a thinner stripe spaced slightly below it.
Rex and Ribbon both wear narrow black ties.
Ribbon wears a skirt that looks like the woman in the center of the following image, but in white with silver accents where the woman's skirt has black: https://i.imgur.com/YAYejWM.jpg There are two black stripes running down either side-seam of the skirt, based on the stripes on Peacekeeper pants.
Rex wears full white pants that tuck into his boots. The pants have two black stripes running down the side-seam of the outer side of each leg. He wears a thick black leather belt with a large stone and diamond cluster buckle. There is a single cross-body black leather strap that attaches to the belt at his left hip and slides under his shirt's right epaulet.
Ribbon and Rex wear dark gray knee-high pull-on jackboots with a subtle stone pattern. The stitching on the boots is metallic silver. Ribbon's boots have a crips white 5" across bow at the back of each boot, with a large stone and diamond brooch in the center.
Rex and Ribbon have a short, thick, black law enforcement expandable baton worn clipped to the left side of their belts.
Rex and Ribbon both wear white officer's caps with black trim and metallic silver half-face shields that obscure their eyes and reflect the light.
Rex and Ribbon wear short black leather gloves that button three times at the wrist with stone and diamond buttons.
Ribbon's hair is pulled back off her shoulders and neck, pinned in large rolls at the back of her head. It is reminiscent of WWII active service women's styles. Her bangs are styled in similar rolls. Her makeup is old fashioned, but her lips are coated with a metallic silver that transitions to a hint of bold red at the center.
Rex and Ribbon's outfits are decorated as though they are honored active Peacekeepers, but their clips and pins are all silver with stone and diamond accents rather than realistic medals or bars. - District Four wrote:

Raymond himself has a surly look on his face, his dark hair combed backwards with gel, always looking forward (except for aforementioned pearl throwing) and occasionally raising his hand for mere formality. - District Five wrote:

| And so the Reapings began!
In the VIP box for the Hunger Games in the Capitol, the freshly-updated room opened to admit sponsors to the Reaping Day viewing party. Not all would arrive today, or even tomorrow for the parade (some had exclusive seats right up front!) but those that did would start to get to know each other as this year's entertainment was announced. Already the capitol was abuzz with rumors about this year's Arena, reminiscences of tributes long dead, and romantizations of champions yet alive.
It was traditional for all Reapings to start at around the same hour, but staggered to fit with the different time zones across Panem; however, for Capitol viewing, they waited until all tributes had been selected and then played the shots, starting with District 12 and working backward to District 1.
The giant and crisp screens flickered on, and first came those tributes from
District 12: Colin was olive-skinned with black hair, of middling height, but still considered scrawny. He looked to be around 15. Colline was blonde, pale, short and scared. She was 13.
District 11 Andrew, a young boy with a scar over his left cheek, was the male tribute. His fists were clenched as he stood on the platform with Annie; she was 16, he was 14. They both had black hair and skin, and dark brown eyes.
District 10 Hayleigh, brown-haired, stood solidly up on stage, her lips a hard line as she looked over the crowd. Hank, her counterpart, was only 11. Hayleigh seemed to be glaring at the boys in the audience, shaming them for allowing the eleven year old to join her on stage. She had volunteered to save a younger girl; how could they not do the same?
District 9 Giana was a quirky girl with tanned skin and long, flowing brown hair. She fidgeted on stage beside her counterpart, Gendry, who, all of 17, stood stoic, as though already thinking about his strategies in the games.
District 8 Tom and Tamara were not much to look at; two scraggly kids who looked shell-shocked, as though staring death in the face and trying not to run.
District 7 Lunanne is fourteen years old with wavy blond hair and green eyes. Lance, on the other hand, had the full body of a lumberjack; strong and well-muscled. Also blonde, with fierce green eyes, he stood on stage with his feet planted solidly.
Intermission!
The Sponsors started milling around, trying to drum up enthusiasm with the group that had just passed on stage. The outer districts typically never stood a chance against the Career District, but it was always fun to choose an underdog to cheer for!

| Intermission EndsA quick showing of the first 12 tributes replays, and then the screen moves to District 6Larse is a skinny looking thing, spindly and not very strong looking. Rather disappointing in a tribute. Lana, on the other hand, is tall and lithe, but not unhealthy. She has long black hair, pulled back in a braid, and dark eyes. She looks resigned, but ready. And kept on walking... For missing the Reaping Day drawing, "Deadfish" Raymond was automatically reaped. On screen it showed several young men trying to volunteer for their district, but because the boy had missed it, he was automatically chosen. As they couldn't find him, they had his mother deliver the news, and Peacekeepers soon collected the boy shortly after the above scene, took him to the train, and he and the other tribute, Rina, a strong and capable young woman, were shipped to the capitol to be cleaned up, ready for presentation in the parade. Their positions had been decided before Reaping Day, while training in the academy. Each was the best of their group - he of the 16-and17-year-old boys (having defeated his own age group, and the young men in the age group above him), she of the 17-year-old girls - proven through a series of trials and matches. They were ready, they were able, they were it. As the final tributes bowed to the audience and were whisked away, the screen turned blank to show the symbol of the Capitol, the anthem sounding in fanfare.
The 24th Annual Hunger Games have just begun. |

| Tenka, always one to arrive and be seen for the pre-show, relaxed in one of the leather chairs, smiling to herself as she sipped her champagne and placed the delicate glass on the small side-table beside her. "Some good tributes in there," she commented to no one in particular, gently patting her old Elephabulous. It was towards the end of the creature's life, but rather than get rid of it and get a new one, she decided to spoil this one until its very end - very chic, you see, very modern and forward-thinking. No one did that anymore, so Tenka did. And it was catching on - older pets were showing up more often all over the place, and this tickled the woman to no end. |

| Rei swanned into the VIP Box. She was desperate to make an entrance and not appear overly keen, but the problem was she was equally desperate not to miss a second of any action. The last Hunger Games had just been so entertaining that she couldn't wait to see what this one would bring! It did cross her mind, briefly, that the end of the last games had been almost... sad... but that thought was immediately pushed from her head as she glanced around the viewing room. She was satisfied to see she wasn't the first; there was Tenka over there. And my goodness, did she have that old Elphabulous with her?! Rei had got rid of hers ages ago! She ground her teeth slightly and found herself annoyed at Tenka already.
Still, she forced a little smile to her face, and glided over to sit beside her 'old friend'. "Tenka! Daaarling! How are you?" She deliberately ignored the Elphabulous and the Tribute's themselves, they would be there for a while and it was simply much more important to schmooze first. |

| "Oh, Rei, darling," Tenka greeted, looking up at the younger woman with a smile that was both friendly and a little... predatory? as she pet the little purple elephant in her lap. "I don't believe I've seen you since that Masquerade so long ago. When was that - two, three months past?" she cocked her head to the side, and then shook it, as though the answer really didn't matter. "But tell me dear, how are you?" |

| Although it was her first time attending the viewing room of the Hunger Rooms, Venus walked into the viewing room as if she owned the place. She was new money, her husband's money, and she planned on throwing it around. With a flip of her long, blonde hair, Venus scanned the room. Tenka and Rei already had occupied their seats and had stricken up conversation. With a restrained sigh, Venus gently pushed her way through the milling crowd and claimed her seat toward the front. |

| Rei maintained the smile on her face and sat in the plush leather chair next to Tenka. "Yes, I'm sure it was something like that... I attend so many events and see so many faces it's hard to keep track sometimes. I'm sure you understand." She glanced over at the newcomer to the room, who had just found herself a seat. She rolled her eyes. One of those girls who did not have the same privileged upbringing she had had and was fairly new to the scene. Rei wasn't quite sure what to make of her yet, but she wasn't exactly one for withholding judgement and she could already feel herself looking down her nose at the blonde woman. She flipped her long, dark hair over her shoulder and leaned toward Tenka, whilst trying to avoid the smelly creature in her lap. "So, have your eye on anyone yet? Obviously the Tributes from Districts One and Two have great potential..." she glanced at the arena before them, "but I must confess I like the look of that boy from District Seven!" She fluttered her eyelashes and giggled lightly. |

| Of course, new money attracted attention, especially when she was expected to be uncouth. Venus, however, ignored any attention she received. Instead, she watched the arena before her and assessed this year's tributes. Although this would her first year to participate as a sponsor, she didn't want to be disappointed by her choice. Avoiding disaster would require moments of careful consideration, but, unfortunately, the tributes had yet to show their true skills and potential. |

| Myrina Nada stepped into the viewing room in a graceful entrance, her tailor-made burgandy dress brushing against the floor as she walked inside. Her incredible height allowed her to take in the sight of the decorations and seating arrangements with ease. Myri knew that people whispered about her, calling her the Amazon, and she did nothing to quell these talks. The more people talked of her, the better.
Her eyes glanced towards the other sponsors who had arrived before her. She was glad that she had not been the first to arrive. It was much better to be a little fashionably late, after all.
Stepping even more fully into the room, she caught a few words of the conversation going on between Tenka and Rei, though Myri found herself curious about the blonde woman sitting away from the other two. She was not certain of the woman's name, and that just wouldn't do. It disgruntled her, though she kept her face smooth and unaffected.
But rather than admit that there was something she did not know, Myrina moved to an empty seat, far away from everyone else, and sat down, back straight. She watched the screen, curious of what the tributes would be like this time around. |

| Rei looked over toward the door as a new Sponsor walked through. Her eyes trailed slowly up, and up, until she reached Myrina Nada's eyes. Rei knew the Amazon, of course, had attended the same events. Typical of her to maintain aloof and sit by herself rather than join Rei and Tenka. Rei gently selected a champagne flute from server's tray hovering next to her. She tapped her long, blood red nails tipped with flame art on her glass noisily as she waited for some action. |

Tenka chuckled along with Rei, nodding her head knowingly. "Oh, yes, one and two are always a favorite; I suspect it'll be no different this year. So confident, those four! I wonder which boy would have volunteered for District 4 this year if given the opportunity?" she mused. The circumstances surrounding the reaping in District 4 were new to her, and not many things were; she was around for the first Hunger Games, back whens he was a teenager herself, and nothing like that had happened before. The surety of being reaped (or killed) for missing the reaping was typically enough to assure attendance by every citizen. Oh well; perhaps the boy chosen from four was just a smart lad who wanted to volunteer without volunteering, and so had risked his life for the chance to play in the games? What a delightful thought! A rebel! Someone who so wanted to be a Champion for his district, he stared death in the face to fight! Ooh! "I'm dreadfully curious about that District Four male tribute!" she returned - the district four tribute, having not shown to the reaping, had not been on screen at all yet. "But that Lana, from District 6 - she had something about her expression that intrigued me. I can't wait for the replay! Hmhmm!" she hummed happily, taking a sip of her own drink, scratching her little elephabulous behind the ears. |

| Venus ease-dropped while she patiently waited for more exciting things to happen. The news of the hour concerned a tribute from district four. This tribute had somehow missed the reaping. How could you ever miss the reaping? The idea baffled her, but the absence did make things a bit more intriguing. As of now, that boy was a wild card. |

| Rei nodded eagerly at Tenka. "I also enjoyed the look of the girl from District Six. And District Four - what scandal! I do hope he lives up to the hype, mind you... I'd hate to be disappointed this early in the game.". She drained her champagne glass, accidentally slammed it on the table and blinked repeatedly at the noise. "Excuse me, Tenka... People to see, people to see... I'm sure you understand." She waved absent mindedly at the other Sponsor, collected a fresh champagne glass and made her way over to the girl she knew she hadn't spoken to before. She stunk of new money, but Rei was not abou to admit she didn't know someone. Admittedly, this woman didn't look like she particularly wanted company but everyone enjoyed talking to Rei, right..? She settled herself down next to the blonde beauty. "Hii. I'm sure I don't need to introduce myself," she smiled sweetly and tilted her head to her right shoulder, "but I'm Rei obviously. I'm sure you are new to all this. And you are...?" - Venus obv:
in case in wasn't obv who I'm talking to. =P

| The Parade day was bright and pleasant - perfect for the display of this year's tributes! While each district had their own unique set of costumes created by their stylists, only three seemed to stand out... - District One wrote:
- Ribbon and Rex's outfits are both stone and military-inspired. The outfits are white accented with black, to mimic Peacekeeper uniforms.

Inside the fishnet are shiny pearls of various colors, which in due time Raymond picks and starts throwing towards the audience. Also attached to the right side of his belt is a machete.
Raymond himself has a surly look on his face, his dark hair combed backwards with gel, always looking forward (except for aforementioned pearl throwing) and occasionally raising his hand for mere formality. - District Five wrote:

| The tributes arose in their personal glass shoots, the tubes releasing them into a bitter cold wind; suddenly their warm and thick attire was explained. Each outfit had long sleeves and pants, was insulated, and was colored white - perfect camouflage should it snow. The arena was forested, filled with white birch trees, riddled with tiny streams; it was hilly - the cornucopia was situated in a flat little valley between two hills, a small lake was to the south. The sun was bright, seemingly magnified by the cold air; above their heads the timer was counting down. 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. In the exact center of the circle of tributes was the Cornucopia. It was a dark grey metal, flattened into shape rather than curved, and within was a rack of weapons, a store of food and supplies, and bags filled with other objects that none could really identify from their vantage point. Scattered around it were large packs, then, the farther you went out, the packs got smaller and smaller, as did the few weapons placed among the bags. By the distance where the tribute tubes let out, the packs were small, and rather flat - suggesting that nothing much was inside. The weapons around them were small, too - the random throwing knife, an arrow head, a fishing hook. Behind them, towards the hills, were even smaller grabs, or nothing at all. Now was the time to choose - to run and live completely off the land, or to chance the Cornucopia for spoils at the risk of being killed? 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. The buzzer sounds. - Tribute Instructions:
You can post your first posts here! As soon as you leave the area, though, send me instructions via PM.
Remember! You do not claim what you pick up - you tell me where you're heading and what you're heading for, and I roll to see if you get it or not.

| As she was new money and Venus had not had the time to establish herself within conventional circles, she did not know many people. She wished to make her relationships more selective, but that wasn't quite how the game of society was played. Although, she could make her true relationships more selective. This whole game was sort of a façade, really.
From the corner of her eye, Venus noticed a woman approaching her. Turning herself away from the beginnings of the Hunger Games, Venus averted her attention to the woman, who appeared to have all the intent of introducing herself. The blonde beauty held out her hand for an introduction, "The pleasure is all mine, I'm sure." With a flip of her hair off her shoulder, Venus said, "My name is Venus." She did not want to admit herself as naïve new money, but first assumptions were something she knew she'd have to break. "Yes, I am enjoying the pleasantries the Viewing Room has to offer for the first time, but I dare say this shall not be my last." |
