hey guys my internet seems to be out on all of my computers, its not able to load web pages or update Dropbox, so I'm going to have to pause the game until it comes back. Sorry for the inconvenience, I'll try to get it up and running as soon as possible.

Dome watched in horror as the explosion threw his tribute away from the riverbank, wincing as she hit the ground. He cringed as she strugled to her feet. His mind raced, what did she need, how could.he help.her?
He rushed out of the room and downthe hall to the sponsors lounge. Entering he scanned the room, searching for a sponsor who might be willing to help his cause. Spotting a woman he hadnt spoken to yet this game, he approached her and spoke. "hello good woman, Rei is it? I trust you are enjoying the games thus far? that heidi is a tough character, she no doubt had a well thought out plan going before that dynamite fiasco occured. She's definitely one to watch in this game."
He smiled and took a deep breath before continuing. "i was wondering, since this tribute seems instrumental in the entertainment aspect of the games up till this point, would you be willing to invest in her? Im sure we could make her into a top contendor with little effort. What do you think?"

Akiko heard the yell. She looked where it was coming from and saw the District 2 boy. Without hesitating, Akiko threw her chakram towards him, but she didn't stop there. She charged towards him. She was good with close combat. She wasn't going to stall and take any chances for him to get a one up on her. Akiko prayed to get out of this alive.


The chakram misses, but it was enough to cause a distraction as Nathan moved to make sure he was out of its way; when Akiko charged him, he was put off balance, barely putting up his spear in time to block her attack. 

Akiko kneed him in the groin. She held onto the spear with one hand before slamming the butt of the sword onto his wrist. Immediately afterwards she jammed her elbow to his nose. She was running on adrenaline. She just escaped at least one tribute, she had the element of surprise on him. Following up her elbow, she swung her sword attempting to slice either the side of his neck or his throat.

Growling in pain, Nathan took blow after blow from her, but when she made her slicing attack, he managed to block it with his spear; she cleaved the shaft in two. He managed to clear her, pushing her back in an attempt to give him enough breathing room to change his hold on his shortened weapon. Once done, he charged at her, blade first.


Akiko stumbled back a bit from being pushed. She tripped onto the ground, having tripped backwards or been bushed enough times back home she already had a way to prevent herself from falling completely on her back. She went with the falling motion. Using the momentum for the fall, Akiko rolled over her shoulder so she was crouched on the ground and in position to lunge forward.

She saw Nathan charging right at her with his short weapon. Staying low, Akiko lunged forward and sliced his inner leg with her sword, right where the artery was all the way barely missing his groin. Akiko didn't stop there, she turned around and made sure she cut his carotid.

Nathan was dead.

A cannon fires in the arena.

Viola quickly noted Dome's appearance in the room. "While I am not Rei, I do agree with your assessment of Heidi. What would you like?"

Sorry, I'm a little confused....

Rei blinked slowly and turned toward Dome; she recognized him as a Champion but hadn't connected him with the Tribute Heidi. She cocked her head and allowed a small smile to play on her lips. "Actually," she began, "I have begun to develop a small interest in your Tribute- " She stopped suddenly as the action unfolding before her on the screens demanded her attention. She clapped her hands together again; another Tribute dead, what entertainment..!

She glanced quickly at Dome and flicked her right hand in a shoo-ing motion. "On second thoughts, Akiko is certainly playing with fire now..!"

Natasha grinned wickedly at the screen. She was happy that the trouble she had intended had occured and Akiko was able to prove her worth. 

"Now what did you think of that, ladies? Akiko certainly seems to be worth the price of that medicine doesn't she?"

Rei raised an eyebrow at Natasha. "All right, your little Tribute has managed to command my attention. No hiding, no sulking, no boring, self-pitying behaviour!" Rei was suddenly animated, waving her hands in the air; "These children should be honoured to be taking part in these Games, I cannot abhor the whiners..!" She blinked and the cold mask with the slight smile return, and she clasped her hands gently on her lap. "What do you require..?"

Dome, disapointed at losing the interest of Rei, turns now to answer viola. "i was actually thinking of sending the girl a weapon or some body armor even. I think that would give her the edge she needs. She already had the advantage when it comes to her intellect, what she needs now is assistance in the combat department. Interested?"

Although a few tributes have caught her eye, Mercury was still very much uninterested in betting her hard earned money on any of them without being approached by their champion.

"Rei, If you wouldn't mind contributing $2,500 to pay for half of the costs of medication for Akiko, It'd be greatly appreciated. It looks as though she sliced her arm pretty good, but regardless of that, did an amazing job against another tribute." Natasha answered Rei with a twinkle in her eye.

Rei noted that Natasha was only asking for half the money for the medicine, and this pleased her as she would have refused full cost. She uncrossed and recrossed her legs, sighed, reached out and retrieved a glass of water from the table and took a series of small sips. Eventually she placed the glass back down, smiled sweetly and announced, "You have a deal."

Gives $2,500 to Natasha for Akiko's medicine.

Purse:

"Thank you so much, Rei!" Natasha turns her attention to the lovely blue haired girl sitting next to Ai No and Rei, and smiles. "What do you think of my very brave tribute, Sailor Mercury, doesn't she seem like she's worth an investment in a little bit of medicine?"
