Heidi bit her lip as she considered the missing roots. Her pack had been in the tree all night. Sarah had been the only one who could have gotten them. Even if her ally had left the tree and another tribute had showed up, Heidi didn't really think the tribute would just take some roots and leave her alive. The logical assumption was that Sarah had pilfered them while she slept.

Which really...angered Heidi. Rage colored her vision. How dare that little snot steal her food? Hadn't she shared her food and water? She had done nothing threatening to the girl...yet. She had been the perfect ally. If Sarah had been hungry, it was a simple matter of waking her and asking for food. And for that matter, she had rations. 

Muttering under her voice, Heidi filled her water bottles, making a note not to drink yet. Not until things got bad. There was a chance her mentor would send some iodine and she'd rather wait and see than court potential illness. 

Now she had to decide, did she go back to the tree and confront Sarah or did she just abandon the girl? The hilt of her knife bit into her palm as she thought about confronting the other tribute, it would be easier to do it now, while Sarah was tired. But she'd have to do it while they were in tree. Sarah would be disoriented from sleep. And it would get her out of the way. She just had to strike quick and true with her knife.

Or...Heidi eyed the rushing river and a plan started to form. Grinning now, she hoped the sponsors was watching, cause she was going to give a show. Looking around she started to search for anything that could be useful, perhaps a large rock or a sturdy stick that could be used as a club.

Nao's eyes opened slowly it took her a moment to realize where she was this time around. Quickly packing her stuff she looked aournd to see if anyone was around before creeping out of her shelter and started walking south again trying to get back to the river. she cussed knowing she had no water at the moment she might very well be forced to drink dirty water just to keep from dyeing of thirst problem is she could very well die from what ever was in the water.


She pulled her rations out eating a bit of them before putting them back in her pack it had been a couple of days since she had last eaten she needed food now if she could just find some water she would be great.

"Oh, and here comes the sunrise!" Caesar commented as the sun broke over the arena. The entire area seemed fresh and new, as though the rains had nourished all of the wildlife as they cleaned up and washed away the soot from the fire. Some of the shots from the greener zones were actually quite beautiful, as the sun shone on water droplets and created a beautiful rainbow display. It was most definitely a new day.

Anjyu rolled her eyes at Rei when she wasn't looking. She knew her tribute was getting weak and needed water. She stood up and approached Viola, a petite Capitol brat. She smiled sweetly at Viola but secretly wanted to tear her apart.

"Viola, you know Akiko and Nao formed an alliance just awhile ago. I'm sure if these two cross paths again that they'll surely engage in battle. Would you care to donate $4000 for a small water bottle so my tribute will replenish her thirst? She won't be worth much unless she drinks. It would be a shame for a worthy tribute to die of thirst wouldn't it? She has a lot of potential and would be a worthy opponent in battle but not in her weakend state. What do you say my dear Viola?" Anjyu inquired sweetly.

"I mean she's still alive and that must mean something." Anjyu coaxed.
