Appearance: Minako stands at around 5'0" and has long blonde hair which she always adorns with her trademark red ribbon. She has blue eyes and her overall look is very similar to Usagi, which is why she becomes the princess' body double on occasion to protect Usagi's identity (she was first introduced as Princess Serenity before Usagi's awakening in the manga & PGSM and she used the Disguise Pen to become Sailor Moon in the anime one time). Minako's style is generally quite feminine; she prefers dresses and skirts in bright colors, but occasionally she's also seen with a sporty look with shorts and sleeveless tops.
During the school years, Minako is most often seen wearing her school uniform. Before the Stars arc, Minako goes to a different junior high school than Usagi, Ami, and Mako, and so she wears a different uniform than the other girls. She goes to Shiba Kōen, and her uniform has blue sailor-style collar with a white stripe and a red ribbon beneath it.
In the live action, Minako has brown eyes instead of blue. She also has black hair when she's untransformed and is often seen wearing a cap or a hat instead of her red bow which is seen in every other incarnation. As an idol, her style is fashionable and always stylish.
Personality: Much like Usagi, Minako underwent a lot of development and growth personality-wise. At the beginning, when we first saw her in Codename Sailor V, she was boy-crazy and easily distracted at times. Boys are often depicted to be her weakness. However, she has always been athletic, which helps in combat especially. Minako is also a romantic, but by the time she had joined the other senshi as Sailor Venus, she embraces her role as leader completely. She becomes responsible, capable, smart, quick-thinking, and most of all she never hesitates to do whatever it takes to protect her princess. Minako is outspoken and confident, which is why she's quite popular at school. She's a real people person and does in fact quite enjoy the spotlight being on her. Sometimes she can be vain and superficial; appearances are quite important to her.
Minako has always wanted to be an idol. She has ambitions of being famous, and when she can't be, she often spends time chasing after other idols (such as the Three Lights). Just like Usagi, Minako also likes playing games in her spare time. Minako still retains her fun-loving and happy-go-lucky side when there's no threat, but once her duty calls, she can become very serious and focused.
Minako is closest to the other Inner Senshi (Rei, Ami, and Makoto) as well as Usagi and Artemis. She lives with her parents though mentions of them are hardly ever made in any incarnation of the story. She is someone who will protect her friends fiercely, and she especially cares about the romances in their lives. In the Sailor Moon movie 'Hearts in Ice' she calls out the other senshi on their behavior which hurt Artemis' feelings, and in the first season's arc Minako is the first to comfort Usagi over Mamoru's loss to the Dark Kingdom by giving her a makeover. She has been known to be the most stylish and fashion-aware of the group, and she always loves to hear about the other girls' relationships. She's also rather passionate to solve others' love life problems, often offering advice or opinion even before they ask her for it. When there's romance problems, you can bet Minako will be on top of it. She embraces her roles as the senshi of love and beauty very seriously.
In the live action, Minako has a very different personality than her anime or manga persona. She is much more reserved, distant, and very individualistic, perhaps too used of being the lone soldier as Sailor V. Even after she revealed her identity to the others as Sailor Venus, she chose not to join them and instead continue fighting alone. Her attitude is often compared to the Outer Senshi in the anime. She prefers to fight alone and keep her distance from the other girls, though this is largely because she's suffering from a terminal disease and does not want the other girls to become attached to her only to mourn her loss later.
It's why she tries very hard to avoid becoming friends with them. However, she eventually grows close to Rei, whom she always challenges and grooms to be the leader to replace her once she's gone. Minako constantly butts head with Rei before they become close friends. Minako is very focused on her past life's duty, and her life goal is simply to protect the princess and the world. Her civilian identity does not matter, but Rei thinks otherwise; she doesn't want to think about the past and instead wants to focus on the present. Rei is the one who eventually manages to break through Minako's walls and make her open up to accept and embrace the others, and to appreciate her present life as Minako Aino, not just as Sailor Venus.
Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Minako is especially skilled at volleyball, and she has even considered quitting being a senshi to be a professional volleyball player. She is also quite talented at singing.
History: During the Silver Millennium, Minako was known as Princess Venus. She was the leader of the guardians protecting Princess Serenity. Her castle was called the Magellan Castle. She was often depicted as wearing a yellow gown while not in her fuku. Princess Venus was adored by Adonis, a foot soldier who later became an enemy of Sailor V because his love went unnoticed. Venus also had a crush on Kunzite, the leader of Prince Endymion's guardians. After the fall of the Moon Kingdom, Venus was reborn as Minako Aino. We first met her as a thirteen year old middle school student with dreams to become an idol and finding a lover.
One day she met a white cat with a crescent mark on his forehead who told her that she is a guardian with a mission. He gave her a crescent moon compact and a transformation pen. He told her to use the phrase 'Moon Power Transform', and Minako transformed into Sailor V for the first time. This was how she became the first soldier of justice and began fighting evil way before any of the other inner senshi was awakened. Her main enemy was the Dark Agency, and because of her heroic deeds she became allies with a special officer in the police force. Sailor V fought on her own for quite a while, before her encounter with Ace, the reincarnation of Adonis who used to adore her from afar, sparked her true memory of her life in Silver Millennium. After that, she remembered that she had comrades she needed to find and that her true identity was Sailor Venus. Her real mission was to find the princess and protect her, so she made her way to Tokyo, where she investigated the Dark Kingdom's rise, waited until Luna found all four of the other guardians, then surfaced just in time to save them in a critical moment. And at last she was reunited with her friends and the sailor team became complete.
In the live action, Minako is already a famous idol when we first see her. One night on Christmas Eve, Artemis falls upon her from the sky and tells her that she's a soldier, giving her the power to transform into Sailor V. Thus she begins her journey as a senshi. She poses as the princess for quite a long time, fooling both the enemy and Usagi and the others for a long time. She also soon discovers she has a terminal disease and does not have long to live. Minako then decides to focus on fighting as Sailor Venus as much as she could instead of doing the operation that has a chance to save her life, because it might fail before she could complete her duty and she deems her life less important than her destiny. At the last minute, with encouragement from Rei and the others, she decides to do the operation, though she still dies. When Usagi saves the world, though, Minako is brought back along with everyone else.

Storyline Specific Information: Four Corners: Long before the Moon Kingdom, Sailor Earth and her four guardian senshi existed, drawing their powers from the Four Creatures that once roamed the land. The reason why they disappeared has long been lost to history. Fast forward to modern time, Sailor Sedna has encountered a new enemy, only to discover that her senshi power do not work against the enemy. Remembering a myth that she heard during her travels, she knew that she must seek out the Four Creatures relics, as legend goes they bestow great power on those who are worthy. Knowing there is a great Sailor Team residing in Tokyo, she seeks out Sailor Moon and her friends to go on this quest. The girls must work together, travelling to the four corners of the world to find the elements. Once the four have been collected, they can locate the final piece of the puzzle, the power granted by the Yellow Dragon (Power TBA).
Sailor V: Phantom Love: In an alternate world where only Sailor V exists as a senshi, Minako is an 18 year old crime fighting superhero just out of high school. Saito is a young 20 year old detective working for the Tokyo Police, and a model law abiding citizen. Neither of the two are aware of the other until a strange case of robberies brings them together. Ace, the Phantom Thief has broken into a number of jewelry stores unimpeded by the law, and Chief of Police Haruna Sakurada wants to put an end to his streak. Chief Sakurada calls in a favor with Sailor V and assigns her to work with Saito to try and pick up the criminal's trail, much to their dislike. How will a loose canon senshi and a by the book police officer get past their differences in time to solve the case? And why is Minako finding herself drawn to both Ace and Saito?
Sins of The Heart: Taking place in the live action universe, this storyline explores an AU from episode 35 where Minako uses the music box to make Usagi forget about Mamoru in a pact she made with Zoisite. In this story she is successful and the princess no longer remembers her prince, though Minako is burdened by the guilt of what she's done. It feels like a betrayal to Usagi, like hurting the person she loves the most in order to save the world, and it makes her wonder if she's doing the right thing.
Paramnesia: In the live action universe, after Usagi sacrificed her life to save the world, Minako is brought back to life, but at the cost of her memories. She remembers nothing about her previous life as Minako, nor her past life as Venus in Silver Millennium. She is a blank slate; a girl who's neither an idol nor a soldier, just a regular and very ordinary person. Minako works in a local dog pound and goes to school in the Juuban area and knows nothing about her senshi identity. She is a much more cheerful and carefree girl unburdened by her duty who enjoys singing and dreams about becoming famous someday. Rei finds her one day in the dog pound, and upon realizing Minako doesn't remember her or her previous lives at all, will be torn to remind Minako of the bond they shared, and all the pain and duty that came with it, or leave her be. This storyline will explore the undeniable ties between them and how much it truly is unbreakable.
What to Expect When She's Expecting: In Crystal Tokyo, Minako discovers that she is with child, Kunzite's to be exact. She is now married to him, yet this news is one that makes her feel overwhelmed. She is about to make Kunzite's life a thousand times worse for the next nine months as pregnancy becomes both her burden and a way to abuse him to fulfill all her needs.
Hardcore Events Series: In the Crystal Tokyo era leading to the second Sailor War, Eternal Sailor Venus first participated in an attempt to clear a planet of Chaos in Zenar, an attempt that failed before the group returned for the second time without her. She was not particularly proud of what happened there. However, she did get to know a few of the participants, as well as managing to gain the affection - albeit unintentionally - of one them, Jasper Franklin. She thought nothing much of the love note he gave her at the debriefing after that journey; it had simply seemed an inappropriate time to think about such things when a planet was being corrupted by Chaos and had not appreciated his timing, nor would she care about it had it taken place in a different time, for Venus had found the person she cared about most beside her Queen at that point; Sailor Mars. Their relationship held a strong bond, though both chose to show their passion only behind closed doors for reasons completely unrelated to the public's opinion.
As the war continued to rage on in full swing, she and Neo Queen Serenity's court tried her best to help the senshi everywhere push back against Chaos, and the effort took her as far as another queen's territory after intercepting a call between the senshi fighting in that sector and their court. With their queen dead, they were in serious trouble, and Venus decided to look for the Queen's crystal as it was quite powerful and protected one of the largest areas of the galaxy. She met the sector's senshi in Destore, learned of their struggles, and informed them she was going to look for the crystal. To her surprise, they volunteered to join her.
Eternal Sailor Venus is far more mature than her old, sometimes flighty self, ever was; her duty took precedence over all things now, including her love (perhaps that was why she liked being with Mars, because no one else understood better), though that does not mean that she has lost her bright and cheerful personality. She just has more wisdom and experience under her belt and the weariness of a senshi who has lived for much too long subduing the untamed spirits of her youth. Senshi Fuku: When she was still Sailor V, her colors resemble Sailor Moon's basic fuku more, with blue collars, end of sleeve and skirt (streaked with red) and red front bow and blue back bow. The shoulder pads are also different from her Sailor Venus fuku and the bodice ends just above her navel, a separate piece from her skirt. The top of her sleeve is yellow, she has a white choker with a yellow crescent moon as well as a yellow crescent moon mark on her forehead. She also has a red mask. Her brooch is yellow, and her shoes are blue heels with an ankle strap.
As Sailor Venus, her signature colors are orange and yellow. Her collar, choker, skirt, earrings, brooch, and shoes are orange, her front bow is dark blue and her back bow is yellow. Her tiara has a yellow gem. In the manga she has her yellow & red chain around her waist.
After being upgraded to Super Sailor Venus, her choker gains a yellow star, her brooch becomes heart-shaped, the bottom of her shoulder pad becomes transparent, and her back bow becomes longer and bigger.Her last upgrade as Eternal Sailor Venus gives her a V-shaped choker, her brooch becomes star-shaped, and so does her tiara. Her skirt becomes two layered, the lower part is yellow. Her shoulder pads become round yellow puffs with orange layers. Her gloves are now longer, reaching past her elbows. She has two ribbons - yellow and orange - as belts around her waist which meet in the middle and clasped with a yellow star. She now wears white knee length boots with a yellow star on the yellow V-shaped stripe at the top. Her earrings become star-shaped as well.

- Crescent Beam: Using the Crescent Moon Compact, she channels a beam of energy at the enemy to vanquish them.
- Crescent Boomerang: By throwing her Crescent Moon Compact at an enemy, she can use it to slice through them.
- Venus Power, Crescent Shower of Love: This attack causes a shower of light/purifying rain which can vanquish an enemy or purify humans who have been brainwashed, heal them/restore their energy and detoxify poisonous gases.
- Crescent Super Beam: More powerful version of Crescent Beam.
- Crescent Slender Beam: Slightly renamed version of Crescent Beam, used when fighting against her enemy that was fattening up her victims.

Weapons or Magical Items: - Crescent Moon Compact: Her main item in the Codename Sailor V series. It functions as a disguise item, and even after transforming Sailor V also used the compact to channel most of her attacks (Crescent Beam, Crescent Boomerang, etc). It needs to be charged with moonlight in order to work properly.
- Transformation pen: Used to transform into Sailor Venus. After she threw it away at the end of the first arc to give up all its power to reach Sailor Moon that had been swallowed up by Metalia, she was given a new transformation item.
- Star Power Stick: the next transformation item given by Luna in the Black Moon arc.
- Crystal Change Rod: the transformation item used in the SuperS arc of the anime given by Pegasus, allowing her to transform into Super Sailor Venus.
- Venus Crystal: the transformation item in the manga to transform into Super Sailor Venus, which was given by Artemis.
- Sailor Venus' Chain: the chain that's always around her waist when she is transformed in the manga. It's a golden chain adorned with rubies, each link is round-shaped when inactive but becomes heart-shaped when she uses them to attack. The chain turned into the Love Whip when she became Super Sailor Venus and it's used to perform Venus Love and Beauty Shock. The chain links became rose-shaped in this form.
- Holy Blade: the sword that belonged to all four senshi yet was mostly wielded by Sailor Venus. They found it in the moon kingdom and Sailor Venus was also the only one who managed to pull it out. Venus used it to kill Queen Beryl.
- Transformation Bracelet/Watch: The transformation item used to become Sailor Venus in the live action.
- Sailor Star Tambourine: An item that could be used to perform a stronger group attack when done with the other senshi. Could also transform into a dagger that is identical to Mars'.
Guardian: Artemis is Minako's guardian - he is a white cat who is her companion and advisor. He was the one who found her and told her she was a guardian of justice, and awakened her as Sailor V. Artemis has become a true friend to Minako over the series and they are very close. Aside from advising her, Artemis also comforts Minako at times, though he also teases her occasionally.
RP Sample: Minako always got a tiny bit melancholy when it was raining outside. Probably it was because she was such a fan of sunshine, it was almost like she was getting her energy from the sun beams themselves. So when the sky was cloudy and rain was falling, she got the urge to just curl up on a window seat and stare at the foggy scenery outside with a cup of tea in hand. That afternoon was one just like it, and Minako had been lost in her reverie for a long time when she finally shifted slightly on her seat and felt something pressing into her leg. Digging one hand into her skirt, Minako found her transformation pen as the culprit. She looked at it for a while, suddenly finding a strange feeling gathering within her.
It was the mix of nostalgia as memories from her past life flashed before her mind’s eye and the familiar feeling of the weight of her duty settling on her shoulders. This pen symbolized everything that she had been and still had to be for an indefinite time. Would there ever be peace on this beautiful earth? Would one day enemies stop coming at them? Could she and her friends ever just be normal girls? Or would they have grown up too much by then? Minako had long since abandoned her dream to become a famous idol, and she was fine with that. Come to think of it, it was rather a childish dream, just like the one she used to have about finding a boyfriend. Her duty was more important than that, but moreover, she also got to do greater things.
As Sailor Venus, she got to do things beyond her wildest dreams, and didn’t a lot of girls also dream of becoming Sailor V? Wasn’t she kind of a famous idol anyway? Sure, people weren’t stopping her on the street to ask for autographs, the paparazzi weren’t following her, because no one knew about her identity, but she was protecting this city. She was protecting this
world. When she thought about it, the extent of what she was doing became quite mind-blowing. It was better than anything her imagination could’ve conjured up back before she was awakened as a guardian.
Perhaps she was wrong. Perhaps she had achieved her dream after all… and more.
