Ari-chan- How are you doing? Everything going swell?

I actually realized since my husband is going on vacation sometime next week and we've got stuff planned, I should probably get a couple thousand words ahead to keep up on the 30,000 words schedule. So, hopefully I'll be able to keep up the 2,000 word a day momentum to make up for that. 

How is everyone's progress so far on their stories? I'm getting started on chapter 17! Yay!!! =)

I'm planning on writing more today. I just finished up a chapter of a story I'm writing for my sister. It's my favorite chapter so far! Now all I have to do is write two more chapters and draw four more 4koma and I'll be finished with her gift! 

Then I'll probably focus on an original story I'm writing. I've written the first chapter, but haven't worked on the second chapter in awhile.

Zodia- That's awesome! I'm so happy that you are joining the challenge! =D 
It's amazing so far, when all you have to do is come up with words, everything just seems to happen! Are you writing your sister a book? What's it about? 

And also, hopefully you'll share tidbits of your original story with us! 

I told my sister to write down 20 of her favorite characters, and then used a random number generator to create 10 pairings. I'm writing 1 chapter per pairing, and also drawing a humorous comic between each chapter. In a nutshell: "20 characters awaken on the Wii Sports Resort Island* one day! All they know is that something big will happen after 10 days pass. Will they be teleported home? Until that day comes, all they can do is socialize and play the games the island offers. But as the characters get to know each other, will they want to go back home?"

It's been fun to write. I'm only familiar with about half of the characters; I'm basing the other half on character descriptions she gave me. She said she's looking forward to seeing how I characterize them.

The original story I'm writing is a magical girl series set in a fantasy/sci-fi setting. The magical "girls" are 10, 14 and 20 years old.



*I want to play this game again... Can you tell? XD

Another chapter done.  That one ended up being a little longer than I expected! I think I'm a bit too tired to write the last chapter, though. Maybe I'll draw some of the comics tonight instead.

I'm about halfway done with the last chapter of my sister's story. It's a long chapter, but I've been enjoying writing it so far.

I worked very little on chapter 17 of my fanfic today. (I'm trying to do small chunks at a time so I don't lose interest.)

I'm finally done with the writing portions of my sister's birthday gift! I'll probably take a day off of writing tomorrow in order to finish the comics. (Or maybe I'll finish them tonight, and start working on my magical girl story tomorrow!)

I'm not sure you want to see the comics. I'm not very good at drawing with a digital medium  

I might post the written part online, though. Because it's my sister's birthday gift, I want to share it with her first, and see if she's okay with me sharing her birthday gift online. 

I plan on sharing my magical girl story, though!

Switching stories was a bad idea. I'm trying to get a chapter for two different stories done. My head hurts now. Definitely should focus on one of the chapters first and then move to the other. But I made up for the 1K for yesterday and today's 1K!

 I know what you mean. Take your time and focus on one story done at a time. Something that I find helps is summarizing what you want to happen on paper so then you have a guideline when you are writing. PLus if you decide to go a different way you can either scratch your notes or merge the extra things you want to include into another chapter. =)

Yep, I have it in note form. Brain just wasn't functioning to connect Point A to Point B in detail.
