I wasn't here last for last years anniversary- what kind of stuff did you do then??

And we could have a role play on the day, with a storyline something like someone evil attacks the GC and all the members get to rise up and defend her ^^ it can just be something silly like that but it could get everyone involved in the RP section..

Aquila ~ The last anniversary week was pretty full of activities as we had many special game rounds, multiple coloring contests, member awards voting and so on . We also had special SM livestreams which were run by Brit (Small Lady).

I'm trying to figure out a way to incorporate guess the sailor moon image with an anniversary theme.. I'm not having much luck. XD
We could definitely have a super active guess the member rounds, id be willing to host aniversarry guess the member if Saturn doesn't want to.

Probably super rounds, perhaps. I mean, yeah there isn't much that can really...hit the theme. The anniversary doesn't seem to have a set "theme" like prom nights do.

It's hard when your a party planner on the side not to think of themes xD
I think we could also do a character wedding art contest of any of the canon characters. Or just usaxmamo.

So, you guys have a lot of good ideas and I'm pretty much open to all of them ^^ you are, of course, welcome to run them however you want.

I especially like the karaoke idea; I may not participate, but I can watch and I'm sure others would like to participate, too. I'd really like to see that happen. We should map out rules and whatnot and decide on where it's going to take place (skype, tinychat, etc.), when they will be (what days and times), etc.

I'm gonna ask NQS if we can implement anything special, such as double points for winning games during the anniversary and whatnot to make it that much more special and fun.

Does anyone else have any ideas they would like to see happen for the anniversary? ^^

(PS -- I'm gonna talk to Brit about the calendar thing so we can get that rolling)

I also loved how when we had Christmas, we were able to change our avatar freely throughout the day. That might be something we can implement in the anniversary.

I know for sure I'd want to host the Guess the SM Image and Maybe the Art Contest, unless Merc wants to do that.

I forgot to mention this earlier but we actually had a same kind of permission the last anniversary week . It was pretty nice but I need to agree with our members that luckily the free avatar changes are not permanent ^^'''. Regardless it would be a nice surprise for the members to be able to change their avatar on the week.

By the way, could it be a good idea to merge the coloring contests with the artist one? We have had some coloring themed artist contests like the Mars' birthday one and the first artist contest of this year.

I think tinychat could work well for the karaoke night. It would be good to be able to let members suggest songs and announce the next song by type chatting while we could use the same chat for the actual karaoke singing parts. I can try to lure some of our song group members to participate in the event since I am pretty sure that many of them would like the idea.

I'd love to host a word search game. It could have various words in it that celebrate the admins of the site, or maybe big threads that have happened through the last year. Or even just various names of boards that can be found on GC. (Or maybe even a game for each xD)

It'd also be really cool to have an artist contest. We haven't had one of those in a little while, if I remember correctly. Maybe it can even be a redesign of the original senshi uniform, and we could have it be based around GC. Maybe like the color palette should be similar to GC's layout colors, but everything else is free-reign? Although not sure if maybe there should be a designated senshi everyone should redesign, or if they can just choose whichever one they want?

I'd also love to help out with making any graphics or prizes if needed! I could make little chibi-senshi or something for the calendar if you are needing help with filling it out? xD

Another idea that I was thinking of was somehow creating a "ball" for the forum, but it has since evolved into a "party" of sorts. Basically this party (or two) would be themed and would probably just be a big get together on GC to talk, mess around, and listen to some Sailor Moon music (we'll find a way to force it!). Since this is unfortunately internet and we all don't live in the same area (pity), we cannot do anything real, like have a real party or ball in honor of the anniversary. Sooo... Since I think a party would be a fun, neat idea, I need to think it out and figure out a way for it to possibly work, what would set it apart from other get togethers, andddd definitely a partner (or 2 depending on the actual outlook of people if I actually did it) to watch over everyone.

As for the karaoke event, could two days/nights work? That way if someone cannot make it the first day they may be able to come the second day and vice versa. Two event nights would probably also be manageable to fit into the hosts' schedules as I am pretty much free every day but Brit, like many other members of our forum, has a busier schedule. (I am assuming that Brit wants to be a host of this event as she was the one who suggested it) When Brit is back from her LOA we shall probably get to know her answer.

Maybe letting each participant request one song (or more if there will not be many members to take a part in the event) could work? That way everyone would have a chance to sing their own favorite song.

That's fine. Whatever works for you guys. I would want to assume if you are doing two, you are doing one for each week?

Also! To help out with songs, when it gets closer to time, you can do a "sign up" thread for people to sign up and put down the song they wanna sing and then arrange it accordingly.

Well I thought we could use the pony maker on doll divine and have people make a Senshi in a pony form. I mean it wouldn't have to have a fuku or anything but just be inspired by a sailor moon character perhaps?

Tuxie ~ I was actually thinking about something like that . SM songs are easy to find (since both Brit and I have them downloaded) but when it comes to other songs, it could help if members could request the songs before the actual event, a bit like with the GC radio when we had to send the non SM songs via e-mail.

One event for each week sounds good since that way we can settle the time well. I think that I might also do something tiny for our song group on the anniversary week but I will come back to that a bit later if the group gets more active again.

@Cerechan: So I asked NQS if a MLP themed activity could take place during the anniversary and she nay'd it because it doesn't really fit into the theme. :/ sorry about that! If you have anymore ideas, I'd love to hear them ^^

Well I was going to do it for the Winter Olympics event but it never happened so I thought I would ask. Ill just stick to my quote game, and I don't care to do a few speeches like last year for the winners.

I am just throwing this idea here but I liked it when we had a Galaxy Cauldron themed artist contest last year. It was nice to have a signature and avatar creating contest so maybe we could run a contest similar to that in the anniversary week?
