Name: Usagi Tsukino Gender:  Female Birthday:  June 30th Age:  Varies Birthplace: Tokyo, Japan Physical Description (include clothing generally worn):  The easiest way to spot Usagi in a crowd is to look for her signature hairstyle – two twin buns planted on opposite sides of her blonde head, long hair spilling down out of the buns and down past her waist. Of course, she still could be hard to spot, considering her less-than-average height, but what she lack in stature she more than makes up for in enthusiasm. She’s often found bouncing or loudly expressing herself, even when in public. Her general bubbliness often makes people smile and earns her quite a few friends; her default expression is one of expectant happiness, her blue eyes often sparkling in anticipation for something new and exciting to happen. As for the rest of Usagi’s features, the young girl is often considered to be pretty, but not quite beautiful yet – when her youthful face and slight chubbiness matures, the potential for stunning beauty is there. Usagi’s usual attire is her school uniform: a blue-themed sailor uniform with a red bow in the middle. Outside of class (and studying, bleh), Usagi prefers mini-skirts (to show off her wonderfully long legs) and classy shoes in fun pastel colors. Personality: Usagi is a girl of emotions – she thinks with her heart. She is passionate and determined, self-confident always when someone is in trouble. She’s like that – she’s really sympathetic and sensitive to others, and so readily identifies with them; she’s loyal to practically everyone she meets, always wanting what is best for them and giving them what she can. However, this selflessness and sympathy can lead her into trouble, and her uncompromising and obstinate ideals when it comes to life and other people’s happiness, combined with what she comes across in her role as Sailor Moon, has put her, and her loved ones, through many trials that might have easily been solved were the girl heartless, or more willing to sacrifice the one for the good of the many. Overall, Usagi is very energetic, outgoing, and social; she’s friendly to a fault. Typically she takes it easy, preferring a carefree lifestyle to one of stressing the small stuff (like school; what does school really matter anyway?). She’s confident and big-hearted, and enjoys being the center of attention; she’s generally loved by all, but mostly because her general naivety, happiness, benevolence, and clumsiness makes it hard not to love her. She can be stubborn and has a strong-willed side, but she’s also very into her environment and is often prone to over-dramatics and easily cries. She can be a little vain, and can get jealous when the object of her affections is involved.

History: Tsukino Usagi was born in late June as the first child to Kenji and Ikuko. She was an extremely emotional child – when she was happy she positively glowed, when sad she cried for hours, and when mad she threw the biggest little temper tantrums that either family had ever seen, but she was also sweet, because after her little reigns of terror she would apologize in her own, childish ways. As she grew her temper tantrums became less and less… until her little brother Shingo appeared on the scene; since the beginning he knew how to push her buttons.

School had never been Usagi’s forte. After graduating from 1st grade, life suddenly got harder. It wasn’t about coloring or making friends anymore, it was about… learning. There was one incident where she came home in tears over at test the next day. To comfort her, her mother put a “special luck charm” on Usagi, and marked her “motherly blessing of good grades” by styling Usagi’s hair in twin ponytail buns on top of her head, the whole time making Usagi tell her about the lesson the test would be over.

The next day when she came home with an A-, they all celebrated, and Usagi, rather than believing her mother when Ikuko told her she had made the grade through studying, instead vowed to only wear her hair in the lucky style until the day she died. Ikuko slowly started to accept that getting Usagi’s grades up would be a constant and monumental task.

From elementary school to middle school, Usagi continued to excel in making friends and fail in general school subjects until, miraculously, halfway through her 8th grade year when she started hanging out with a new group of people, one of whom was insistent about studying. Ikuko loved those girls!

Of course, what Ikuko didn’t know was the events leading up to that group of friends coming together, or the events that followed: the trials that Usagi went through, her growth of character, her capacity to love, forgive, and fight for love and justice to protect Earth, and discover not only who she was, but who she could grow to become so long as she believed in herself and her friends.

In her battles as Sailor Moon, she confronted her past, her future, her present, her dreams and her destiny, and from all of these she emerged victorious, never having to sacrifice her pure heart or ideals, but using her love to triumph over the forces of darkness. She shines on as the brightest star in the galaxy.

Senshi Name: Sailor Moon Senshi Fuku: Sailor Moon’s fuku changes from form to form, but always uses the same sailor silhouette in every incarnation. Her first uniform uses blue as a primary color and red as a secondary; blue skirt, blue collar, red bows, red knee-high boots, red banding on her elbow-length gloves, red choker, red gem in her tiara, red reflectors over the buns in her hair. In her Super Sailor Moon form, the colors on her skirt and collar fade through the rainbow hues, but her red boots and glove banding stay; however, her choker turns yellow and the red bow at the small of her back becomes long and translucent. Her final form, Eternal Sailor Moon, has a dark blue collar and a three tiered skirt; the first tier is yellow, the second red, the third blue. Her boots are white now, accented at the top with red, and rather than a bow at her back she has red ribbons that trace the v of her skirt and fly freely behind her. Her gloves reach midway up her bicep and are topped in red with feather-and-pearl accents, more red outlining her wrist. Her sleeves are puffed out and pink; her choker red ribbon accented with a heart-and-moon charm; she wears no tiara, but her moon symbol blazes brightly. Rather than the red ribbon on her chest she has miniature wings, spreading out from a pink heart brooch. At her back, feathery wings spread.

She smiled, studying the casual concentration of his features as he adroitly worked the tiny buttons on his sleeves, his blue eyes narrowed at the golden adornments before sliding up to meet her gaze in the mirror, and her smile was returned in kind. Of course he remembered, but she wanted more out of him. “Wasn’t it beautiful?” she sighed, rolling onto her back and staring dreamily up at the canopy above her head.
