Ok, i'm OBSESSED with the double moon banner, and I've been trying REALLY hard to figure out how achieve something similar, i mean with the coloring and the glow...EVERYTHING!!!! I've been thinking about it since i saw it, and i still can't figure out how...so my lovely and very smart artists...can you help me? giving ideas, tutorials, guessing, anything that could help!! ;^;

The only thing i know is the image is rendered, but i do know that part (i just have to cut the image very carefully). I want to know mostly is how to achieve an image (not necessarily anime) look similar to the banner, i mean, how do i work with images like this @.@ i mostly just play with the layers but they never look like this @.@ do i need a special skill? do i need a specific resource? do i need to be God? do i need to be inside the head of the artist who created this?

this image in specific is from the 2002 calendar. they have a high quality. but mostly, play with the renders and the layers, overlay, gaussian blur...
