I was thinking this morning about these two and the question popped in my head: is their romance even possible? The reason why I am asking this is because Helios is technically the keeper of dreams and a priest of Eliyson. Would he really have time to cultivate a relationship with Chibiusa since he has so many obligations? I mean would he clearly have enough time to be the keeper of dreams and a future king? I may have this all wrong, but wouldn't Chibiusa be better off with someone who didn't have so many obligations? I really like this pairing and these are just some thoughts.

My personal headcanon is that Chibiusa grows up into this gorgeous lady, while Helios doesn't grow up at all. I've always thought that Helios was kind of held in time. And because of that, he can't really grow up in the same way that Chibiusa does, and from that, I don't think a real relationship would ever be possible between them.

There's a fanfic I read once that went through this scenario really nicely :3 Maybe I'll have to go find the link for that if anyone is interested.

I think they're really cute together, but I've never believed that it would ever truly amount to anything as time went on.

I've always wanted to believe that Chibiusa and Helios got together when she was older and remained in the 30th century. I feel like Helios could get a replacement to be priest of Elysion/guardian of Mamoru... or he could double duty! XD

But that may be something we'll never know. Chibiusa may have to move on because Helios has so many obligations and duties...he is a protector of so much. :/ and he may be "timeless" like Verdandi said. He may be immortal and will remain in his 15-16 year old appearance. *shrugs*

I hope it would work out for this pairing because I think they're adorable. They're one of my favorite ships.

I wish the anime expounded more on this or even the manga but all you really know is chibiusa goes back to the 30th century and that's it.

This kinda stuff is what fanfics are for! Also, Verdandi, i wouldn't mind reading the fic. I like fics that deal with ChibiUsa x Helios or Crystal Tokyo fics.

I had never really thought about this before. I just assumed that Helios and Chibiusa were destined to be together in the 30th century. Perhaps Helios becomes more of a lost love of Chibiusa's. For any of you Whovians out there, it could be rather similar to how Amy fanasizes about the eleventh Doctor as a child but when she grows up she begins to accept that it was fairy tale and moved on. That relationship was more platonic but perhaps the same sort of situation happened here? As Chibiusa grows up she smiles back on her puppy love in the 20th century but finds a new romance.

Another theory is that with Neo Queen Serenity and a pracitcally crime free Crystal Tokyo maybe people's dreams did not need as much protecting thus Helios had a bit more time for Chibiusa.

Another thought, although slightly off topic, where the heck was Helios when Chaos was destroying everything in the future? Did he die like the Sailor Soldiers before Sailor Cosmos was created or what? Sorry a bit off topic here!

Meh, the whole "growing up" thing is sort of relative; I mean, Chibiusa is 903 years old (give or take a year) and still looks like a little girl. I think that in the future, Helios' role would be less necessary, as the King and Queen have taken over Earth (hm, that sounds cruel) and basically made a second silver millenium. With the Silver Crystal and the Golden Crystal fully awakened and protecting over earth, Helios probably wouldn't need to be confined to praying in his shrine or whatever he actually does...

That's what I was thinking too. I don't imagine there would be as much of a need for Helios to be a guardian in the future when Neo Queen Serenity comes into her reign. Also, Setsuna was supposed to guard the gate of time forever and never be allowed to leave but they bended the rules to allow Setsuna to go back into the past to be with the Outers so I think they could bend the rules in the future for Helios too.

In my opinion, definitely. They are connected through their dreams in the past(When Elysian was lush and he was visited by the vision of Princess Lady Serenity showing us that one day an older Chibiusa will contact him in the past), in the present when Helios hides inside Chibiusa's Mirror(and/or sees her in her dreams) and in the present(Where Chibiusa contacted him in the oast but she is obviously in the future seeing how she is all grown up in the vision so she never forgets him).

Chibiusa is like her mother in many aspects and Helios is said to be like Endymoin in many aspects and is connected to both Endymoin and the Earth which leads me to believe the two of them are soul mates^^

Basically, I would imagine them sneaking off together whenever possible, even if there is month or years between visits. With Helios doing his Elysion thing. and Chibiusa being a Queen (by herself) they never really have time to have a life together.

I also think that they will have one child together and Chibiusa will raise the daughter as a single mother. Helios will ask about her and care for her but will never be a full presence in his daughter's life, unfortunately. They both accept this fate, even though they want to be a normal family they give up this chance for their respective duties.

hmm Or maybe when Chibiusa marries Helios, Crystal Tokyo gets to be transformed again and Elysian gets to once again be on the Earth, so they would never have to leave each other? So the palace is part of Elysian now. (stealing that from the Manga that stated or implied Elysian was once on the earth's surface.)

That's another awesome theory! By combing this and Saturn's theory, somehow someone at some point manages to rise the buried kingdom of golden dreams back to the surface!

Agreed! If Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion can over come all odds and be together and live a happy life together, then I think that's also possible for Chibi Usa and Helios.

What if the reason Chibiusa had her attraction to Mamoru was because she sensed the presence of her soul mate inside of him and did not know what to do with those feelings. She sis not know about Helios yet, so she just assumed that her feelings were strictly for Mamoru.

heh, it's ok. I wrote something like that way before Twilight was a thing. xD it's just a shared concept idea. It happens.

But it would make sense considering if you think of Helios similarly as 'Sun' that protects the earth (what? no, I didn't pull a quote from dying nehellenia in the manga. nopes) and Chibiusa is technically both Earth/Moon- therefore drawn to the sun.

This makes so much sense! In the beginning when we first learn of the connection between Helios and Endymoin, no one new why they were somehow connected to each other, but they are also connected to the Elysion kingdom itself and when it was sick, they were both becoming very ill.

Some connections it seems take a while to understand so I love this theory^^
