Actually this page almost didn't make it into the doujinshi. XD;; When I started drawing it I wasn't sure if it actually added anything to the story, but in the end I decided to keep it in the final cut plus I thought the text on that page does have some foreshadowing value *hint hint*.

Hehe, I like how the coloring turned out. I'm not very good at coloring (and no, I am not being modest; I honestly dread coloring line art) so I like people who can color. The eye though, well, I admit I didn't want to draw them because I thought it would look like they're staring into space and that would be weird. ^^;

I wasn’t sure whether I should have Rei be a Shinto priestess in the 30th century, given that the manga shows the Inner Senshi only in their guardian form, protecting Neo Queen Serenity. But after discussing the idea with others I think inheriting the Hikawa Shrine and fulfilling her dream is very important to Rei, and is something that Neo Queen Serenity would want for her friend. Also, although I didn’t show it, I was thinking that given how large the Crystal Palace is it might be possible that the Hikawa Shrine has been incorporated as part of the palace compound. That will also make it easier for Rei to be at the shrine and be next to her queen as Sailor Mars.

I love the new pages! And the Hikawa Shrine being part of the palace compound was an interesting idea.

A small up date this time. FYI, Ginza is a district in Tokyo that's famous for having a lot of upscale stores, restaurants, and boutiques. Think of it as Tokyo's equivalent of New York's Fifth Ave. Therefore, I thought it would be an appropriately location for Shou's family fine art auction business. The reference for the Hinowa Gallery building is based off the headquarters of Sothbey's, a real-world international auction house.

It’s been a crazy week! I’ve worked an average of 12 hours a day, everyday since last Saturday, and next week looks to be also very busy with me giving two presentation and preparing for a two-day job interview in early February. |||OTL

As such, I don’t think I’ll have any time to draw in the near future, but I thought I’d share the little bit that I had drawn before things got completely nutty. :p

If anyone's wondering why the Quartet didn't find Shou familiar when Hotaru immediately notice his resemblance to Helios, remember the Sailor Quartet appeared for only a very short time in the Dream arc. During this time their attention was almost completely focused on Chibi Usa, so I doubt they'd have noticed the young man standing in the background.

Also, the real world Lady and the Unicorn tapestries are displayed at the Musee national du Moyen Age In Paris, France. I'll discuss them in more detail in the next post.

Hehe, art history was one of the classes I really liked in college (even though I was a biology major). XD Part of why I made Shou the heir to an art gallery stems from my love of art history, so I want to showcase that a little in this chapter.
