i haven't played pokemon x in so long. since i'm waiting till i finish black 2 to bring over my legendaries from there to slay everyone online 8D muahahaha. i need to get my hands on a certain stone to make my togetic evolve into togakiss. 8D

The only shiny I caught that I can remember was a Venipede in Black 2.

Mine dates back to Silver, with a pink pidgey.

Noctowl and Liepard.

I'm not obsessed with shinies. I never go out my way looking for them. The ones I caught just came out of no where and I felt awesome for catching some. XD Some pokemon do look cool in their shiny form will others don't.

there are various people who go on i like to call it "shiny hunts" for hours .... like i said before i don't understand it. i understand the reasons for pokemon breeding because of DV/EV (i'm to impatient for it xD ) but not the shiny hunts..

It's probably for the thrill of it. I mean it is exciting for one to pop up. So I understand why people go nuts.

i've gotten shinies in wonder trade. -whistles- i rather breed a shiny myself or get lucky with wonder trade.

I have a few Shinies, some from ALL the way back in Gen 3 as I have been transferring all of them to my copy of Y:

Silver the Wingull from Sapphire
SIERRA the Machoke (caught as a Machop) from Emerald
Ora the Magmortar (caught as a Magby) from Pearl
Lucky the Starly from Platinum
Crimson the Gyarados from HeartGold (the most obvious one)

Missed a Shiny Pidgeotto in FireRed because I had no Ultra Balls in my Bag..

I also got a Shiny Latias through Wonder Trade!

Is anyone excited for the new Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon game? I sure am! I hope to Arceus it's better than Gates To Infinity.

I hadn't heard about it. I've always heard the mystery dungeon games were good though. I should check them out eventually.


I think its safe to say all you pokefans have seen this awesome video? I reaaaaally want to play this when it comes out.

So, my husband started playing Pokemon in a new way to keep himself entertained by the series. He is leveling each of his Pokemon (all of them, not just his standard team) to the same level as the gym trainer's highest Pokemon. It definitely increased the time needed to complete the game.

Anyone else change up the game to keep it more enjoyable for them? I like to name my standard team after Sailor Moon characters and, more recently, I began leveling my standard team by 10 levels in between each gym.

Thanks to gen six's exp share. I trained over 20 pokemon in my Alpha Sapphire file. I love training over six pokemon because there are 721+ pokemon now so why should I limit myself to six? 

In my Omgea Ruby file I'm doing a Miraculous Ladybug theme. Finding Pokemon that suits the show and using French names or the characters names. I like finding Pokemon that fit akumas. I would have done this in my Y file since Kalos is base on France, but I like ORAS better. lol

In my Y file I started a wonderlocke challenge where you can only use wonder traded pokemon. Normally you use six pokemon, but I changed it to my needs because again I hate being limited to six pokemon. So between each gym I capture five pokemon and then I wonder trade them. I keep what I get. I can wonder trade again if I get a repeat. No legendaries. I store them in the PC. I kind of dropped this because playing through XY makes me cringe because I cannot stand your "friends". I really hope GF never gives you a group of friends again. If they do they flesh them out better and make them useful.

Currently in my AS file I completed the National Dex! So right now I am working on the Living Dex. I want to get this done before SM comes out. That way I can transfer it to my Sun file and just focus on catching gen seven pokemon. Catching them all is a great keep you playing once you beat the Elite Four.
