I just saw this movie tonight. I was totally blown away at how amazing it was. For those of you who have yet to see it, please be warned that this thread may contain spoilers. Also, stay for the entire credit ending. There are 2 extras in the credits, so make sure you stay for the ENTIRE thing.

Epic movie!! Saw it on premiere night at midnight! Lots of people dressed up (althought those with masks had to take them off - lol) and it was just so much fun!

As for Iron Man 3, they're casting in North Carolina for extras (it's being filmed in Wilimington, NC). So awesome!! I plan to go visit the set when filming begins ^^

I cannot wait to go see this movie!

You have NO IDEA. First of all, I have been "watching" this movie on tumblr since the first day it has come out, so I basically formed OTPS and got all the inside secrets before I got to see the movie. So I was able to enjoy the FULL experience. I went to the theater yesterday and it was EMPTY save for three other people and I swear I was having my own squee fest for the entire film. I kept smothering giggles and squirming in my chair and then gasping and whimpering "loki, my baby, i love you, don't hurt your brother, please" and then squealing every time Robert Downy Jr. opened his mouth.

I loved them all. I loved every moment of it. I totally ship Tony Stark and Dr. Banner, oh so cute in all of their genius geekiness. I am SO glad that they showed the two of them driving off together after the battle. Heehee. The Hulk was utterly terrifying and I loved his presence.

One thing that really surprised me was how much I loved the Black Widow. I never like female characters, especially super heroes, because they are most often 1. Walking Sex Poses and 2. Full of themselves. Scarlet Johanson was absolutely gorgeous but not because she was trying to strike sexy slutty poses or acted like she was Hot Stuff -- she had this quiet confidence about her but a vulnerability that she did not exactly show but you could still see was there. And she moved so gracefully! Gyah. She is so much of a woman and I loved every scene of hers.

I saw the movie on opening day with a couple of friends of mine. I can't tell you how absolutely packed it was. I don't think I've ever been to a movie with that much hype. The hype was well deserved, and I walked away from the experience amazed by how Joss Whedon managed to put that together without missing a beat. Everybody was on their A-game.

Steve Rogers is best pony---er, best Avenger. Well, all of them are the best for their own reasons. But Cap can get dated references and bash things with his shield. That's hard to top.

Like most everyone else, I was very much impressed by Mark Ruffalo's performance as Bruce Banner. Definitely better than Ed Norton in the 2008 film---perhaps even the best Banner of all-time. I never took The Hulk too terribly seriously until Ruffalo took the role and ran with it. That can be said for most of the characters and their respective actors, though.

I forgot about this thread (oh hey there spoons btw!) I saw it a while back. It was really really enjoyable. Unfortunately for me, I think people overhyped how amazing it was because as much as I liked it, I walked out of the theater like "ok it srsly wasn't the best movie ever, but it was pretty awesome for a comic book movie".

My boyfriend doesn't really like all the hollywood one liners that were in there, but I felt several them were well written and quite humorous. That part actually didn't bother me because its sort of expected in super hero films (I think he's just tired of the one liner niche in general).

This was such an awesome movie!

It was my first time watching a marvel movie I didn't know what to expect. It blown me away. I got all the jokes despite not knowing about the characters (blame tumblr). I really want to watch the other marvel movies now!

Most of hte Marvel movies are actually pretty good unless you are a super comic book nerd that is like "ITS NOT LIKE THE COMICS" or something.

I'm not. ^^ I have never read a super hero comic book before. I wouldn't know where to start,

haha same with me! I did start reading the Ultimate Spider-Man and Ultimate X-men, which are kinda like reboot comics. I enjoyed them a bit. Everytime I want to know something about a comic hero character, I just wikipedia it. xD

Yeah same here. I follow a couple of blogs that post about Batfamily all the time and I'm like "I barely know half these characters" XD

marvel is waaaaay better than dc!

DC has Batman therefor it's better.

Actually...I mainly prefer Marvel over DC with the exception of Batman and a couple other characters.

But i'm not a huge comic nerd so I'm not really into which one is better thing. XD

DC is where it is at yo! I don't read the comics, but I like DC people better.
