| Hey, ya'll! I'm opening a WIP Otaku Senshi thread... because I really really want to share my characters, and it'll be nice to have them somewhere outside my head (or my Google Docs). I will post one Senshi at a time, with a full profile, an image, and commentary on the story they're a part of and what role they play in the story. I'm hoping that people are willing to review and critique my Senshi, or offer suggestions for attack names and things like that. The first Senshi I'm posting is the one I'm currently working on... who falls into the unfortunate category of Mary Sue. Quite purposefully, but still. Sailor Kitsune is a fourteen year old Japanese/American girl named Alice King who 'falls' into Sailor Moon. In most fanfics, this means that the character in question has literally fallen into another world. In Alice's case, she is in Sailor Moon's world for several days before she notices a significant difference at all. Alice finds a magical transformation pen in her school bag that leads her to becoming a nameless Sailor Senshi with no guidance, no memories of a secret past life, and very few shortcuts that she can viably take. Knowledge of the Sailor Moon manga and anime aren't helpful for very long as Alice stumbles her way through life as a Sailor Senshi and finds that things are different than she remembers them being in the story. Alice starts off her story as a secretive lone ranger who appears cool and collected to Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Kamen, and Luna. Flailing for answers and reacting defensively, Alice deliberately keeps her identity secret from Sailor Moon et al, despite knowing who the other Senshi's identities and accidentally demonstrating that knowledge, and knowing that Luna strongly suspects Alice of hiding more than her identity (like, say, a connection to the Dark Kingdom). Alice maintains her charade for as long as she can, and successfully maintains her secret identity throughout the conflict with the Dark Kingdom. Sailor Kitsune is the main character of her story, with an expansive cast and plotline that goes from the original Sailor Moon through Sailor Stars. This profile covers her development as a Senshi throughout the conflict with the Dark Kingdom, while leaving out any history she gains during the course of the story. I have completely written three and a half chapters out of twenty two planned chapters covering the Dark Kingdom Saga of the story itself, and I will edit this post when I either change something significant about the character (ret-con her) or finally post the story and will then update the profile to reflect her changing history. This is Sailor Kitsune pictured with Sailor Moon and Sailor V in her first fuku, using DollDivine's Sailor Senshi Maker. Profile structure is ganked from otakusenshi.com. - Spoiler:
Sailor Kitsune's Profile- Spoiler:
Sailor Kitsune
About the Girl
Name: Alice King Name Meaning: "noble, kind" "king"
Age: 14 Birthday: December 24
Eyes: Alice has light blue eyes. Hair: Alice has wavy blonde hair that is almost red at the tips - she wears it cut just about her shoulders. with wavy bangs that sometimes get in her eyes. Skin: She has very pale skin. Height: Alice is about 5'4. Weight: She weighs approximately 115 pounds. Build: Alice is very slim, with bony elbows, knees, and hips, and small breasts. She eventually fills out. Distinguishing Marks or Traits: Alice's hair could be considered a distinguishing mark - it starts off golden blonde at the roots, but the longer it gets the more the tips turn red. Something else that might be considered a distinguishing trait is that Alice sometimes plays up her American accent in her civilian form, to throw off suspicion that she's a Sailor Senshi.
Blood Type: AB Sun Sign: Capricorn Gemstone: Her birthstone is garnet, and of the varieties of garnet she's always preferred Melanite. Her favorite gemstone other than that is Sunstone. Likes: Alice likes complicated, beautiful puzzles, and making useful pretty things for others. Dislikes: She dislikes being compared to her mother, and people knowing her name for things that aren't related to her own accomplishments. Alice hates failing her goals, partly because her goals are usually made with someone else's well being in mind - if she fails, she's hurting someone or allowing that person to be hurt. She dislikes most cheerful looking flowers for no discernible reason, English class, and moving constantly. Strongest Subject: Alice's strongest subject is English because she's a native speaker. Her second strongest subject is math, because it's the one subject that doesn't change from school to school. Weakest Subject: Her weakest subjects are science and Japanese. She often fails to do the Japanese homework, and she's usually struggling to catch up with her classmates in science. Strong Points: Alice has an excellent sense of timing and an intuitive grasp of tactics and strategy. She has a very strong will and sense of morals that she will follow to the bitter end, and is an excellent judge of character. Alice is also a very talented dancer and gymnast, though she has never had any desire to follow the paths in life opened to her for being an athletic person. She is also incredible at putting together things like shows, videos, and exhibits in the best possible way to express whatever she needs to. Has Trouble With: Unfortunately, Alice also has a tough time making and keeping friends. She has some leadership ability but has trouble connecting to people personally after a certain point is reached in her relationship with them. She much prefers working as a lone wolf, which can be crippling to a Senshi. She has a tendency to take too much on her own shoulders and struggles to find people to share her own burdens with. Her pride is also a weakness in this instance, as she rarely admits to weaknesses unless thoroughly beaten. Dream: Alice dreams of being able to be useful and helpful to people by using and creating beautiful things. She has considered becoming a movie producer or director, working in other places in the entertainment industry in a supporting role to others, or even finding some role in law enforcement or working in a hospital. She has a lot of options.
Personality: Alice is a calm, cheerful person who finds it hard to connect with others past the Meet and Greet stage of a relationship. She takes things as they come and lets go of things that she's become attached to easily.
People see her as remote, sometimes even exotic person because she rarely goes out of her own way to make friends, and tends to blow off those who attempt to make friends with her - though she is always happy to help someone who asks her for help, people are rarely comfortable enough to ask her for anything.
She is a very helpful person, and goes out of her way to make life easier for others, even if she has little or nothing to do with that person. She cooks and cleans for her father and monitors his business for him, always cleans up after herself, and sometimes even volunteers for extra work at school so other people (who have friends and obligations) don't have to spend as much time there.
On the flip side, Alice always drifts close to burning herself out. Withdrawing to save her own energy always makes her feel guilty, as she feels like she must be leaving someone in a lurch (and often that person doesn't know her well enough to realize that there's something wrong, and that Alice isn't just flaking out). Alice is uncommunicative at best when she's working with a group, which she recognizes as a weakness in herself.
Becoming a Sailor Senshi actually helps her deal with some of her problems - Alice is now associated with several people who she views as having the same goals that she does, and finds it easier to speak with them. She stops taking on too much responsibility to make room for her Senshi duties, and despite this making her seem more antisocial than ever, she is also happier than she has ever been.
But being a Senshi also makes her more deliberately secretive about herself, and her business, especially once she commits to the path of keeping her own identity secret from her fellow Senshi. She develops close friendships for the first time since she was very young, and forces herself to hold those people at arms' length for the chance that she might be able to help them at a later date... by staying hidden from them. This state of affairs wears on her and sends her into periods of depression.
Personal History: Alice King is a half-Japanese, half-American girl who has spent over half her life in Japan with her father, Richard King. Richard King married Alice's mother, Hina King, when he was in Japan on a study-abroad program learning about Japanese history and Hina was working in a theater. Hina was 'discovered' as an actress on a trip to America when she was pregnant with Alice and proceeded to star in a soap opera. Alice grew up on set until her character was killed off when she was four years old so that she could go on a trip to Japan with her father and meet her grandparents in Osaka.
Alice then lived almost exclusively with her father as her mother became an A-list actress in America and a soap opera star in Mexico. Her parents lived separately but never divorced as Richard allowed himself to be swallowed up by his work writing travel journals and historical novels. Alice and Richard moved every six months for the next several years. Alice never spent a full school year in any one place, and often struggled to catch up with her classmates in America and Japan before she started teaching herself. She became very independent, and after several incidents between both sets of her grandparents and her parents she became determined to remain with her father, wherever he went.
During this period of time she became a fan of the Sailor Moon series, and watched the anime with her father and read the manga on her own. Sailor Moon was one of many heroines that Alice aspired to become like - gracious, loyal, forgiving, and effective. In her teens, Alice came to resent her mother for choosing to only spend time with Alice if Alice was doing things that Hina herself was interested in. This led Alice to eschew the dance classes and gymnastics classes that Hina had always made sure were paid for wherever Alice went.
When Alice was fourteen, she and her father moved from Kyoto to Tokyo during her summer break, and she enrolled in the T.A. Academy. Several months later, she woke up one day and found that there was Sailor V merchandise all over Tokyo, and that she had somehow come into possession of a strange black pen. That strange black pen turned out to be a truth-telling magical transformation pen, that allowed her to turn into a mysterious black suited Sailor Senshi - not so coincidentally on the same night that Usagi Tsukino was destined to gain her powers as Sailor Moon.
Dazed and confused, Alice went and found the Osa-P Jewelry Store on the internet, and arrived just in time to witness Naru Osaka being strangled by the youma Morga. Alice was spotted by the youma and introduced herself on the fly as, "Sailor Kitsune!" After Sailor Moon defeated the youma, Alice ran away... before she was forced to admit by Sailor Moon herself that Alice had no idea what was going on, what her true Senshi name was, or even why she apparently knew the future. Hero worship aside, Alice decided then and there that she would find a way to unlock whatever Senshi powers she had and fight by Sailor Moon's side... without giving away her knowledge of the future that came from anime and manga.
About the Senshi
Sailor Name: Sailor Kitsune Realm of Influence: Unknown
Transformation Phrase: Unknown Transformation Item: A black pen with gold top and rim. Transformation Sequence: Alice holds the pen above her head, and hundreds of black and gold ribbons springs out of the pen and envelope her body. When she blinks, whatever clothes she was wearing disappear and she is in her Sailor fuku.
Symbol: Unknown Colors: Black, orange, and gold. Outfit: Sailor Kitsune appears wearing the same padded white body suit as the Sol Senshi, with three white shoulder pad rings and a white belt. Her collar is completely black and extends into a long black cape. She wears a black miniskirt, white elbow length opera glove with black glove rings, and black ballet shoes, with black ribbons from the ballet shoes wrapped around her legs up to her knees. Sailor Kitsune has no back bow, but her front bow is orange, and has a large black brooch affixed to its center. She wears a black choker with a gold gem, black pearl earrings, and a gold tiara with a black gem in the center. Sailor Kitsune also wears a black mask, much like Sailor V's or Sailor Moon's, except that her mask is attached to a long black strip of fabric that Sailor Kitsune keeps tied over her eyes and around the back of her head, holding her mask in place. The leftover black ribbon dangles in her hair in the back. Weapons: Sailor Kitsune's Cloak - Sailor Kitsune discovers that, with a little prompting, the edges of her black cape can become razor sharp - sharp enough to slice through trees, or, Sailor Kitsune can make her cloak virtually impenetrable to attacks and use it as a shield. Items: Black Transformation Pen
Fighting Style: Sailor Kitsune is very quick and light on her feet, and is well able to dodge most attacks. Her attacks are currently limited to close range attacks, so she usually acts as either a distraction so that Sailor Moon can get an opening, or she acts as a physical barrier between attacks and bystanders, using her cloak as a shield.
First Attack Name: N/A (Offensive) Appearance: Sailor Kitsune spins out the bottom edge of her cloak to slice through her target. Effect/Damage: Sailor Kitsune's Cloak is only effective as a close range weapon. Using it, she can significantly physically damage any object she deliberately strikes with the edge of her cloak within six feet of her body. The attack is strong enough to damage steel, and could be conceivably more than strong enough to deal with the average youma... if Sailor Kitsune can get in close enough. Accuracy: Incredibly accurate, but also incredibly limited compared to the other Senshi.
Second Attack Name: N/A (Defensive) Appearance: Sailor Kitsune uses her cloak to shield herself and others by turning her back to the attacker and shielding others with her own body, extending her cloak to block the attacks as best she can. Physical objects can be deflected and energy attacks might be absorbed or turned back on the attacker. Effect/Damage: Sailor Kitsune's Cloak used as a shield is rarely an effective offensive weapon, but does a more than adequate job of blocking various projectiles and absorbing impact and deflecting and absorbing power attacks. Sailor Kitsune can adequately shield up to three people at a time, alone with herself, by extending her cloak. Accuracy: Sailor Kitsune's Cloak used as a defensive weapon is only as accurate as the attacker is - or as accurate as Sailor Kitsune is able to be, given she usually has very little time to use the cloak defensively. Also, as a shield, Sailor Kitsune's Cloak is weak against attacks from all sides. Sailor Kitsune can only protect multiple individuals from attacks at one angle. She does, however, have enough material to protect herself fairly well when she's alone.
Sailor History: Sailor Kitsune has no history that Alice knows, which leaves her at a loss. As far as Alice knows, Sailor Kitsune came into being that first night in the Osa-P jewelry store. There is no magical symbol that Alice can discern that comes with the pen, no transformation phrase to give away whatever her celestial alignment is supposed to be, no suspicious latent memories to go with her new magic powers. Just Alice, pretending to be a superhero.
Mission: Sailor Kitsune's stated mission is to try to help Sailor Moon as much as she can. Alice wants to help Sailor Moon because she believes that Usagi Tsukino deserves whatever help she can get. But Alice also wants to know where her powers came from, how the story of Sailor Moon came to life for her, and if she has gone completely insane or not.

| So, here are some dolls without profiles, because they are not Senshi. Mostly. XD My Little Pony Senshi!- Spoiler:
This is reeeeeeeeeeeeeally old, and from before I actually started watching My Little Pony. I was just using the (presumed) character designs. Cinderella- Spoiler:
I spent so much time using sparkles on this... and hair extensions to make the background. Well, the background sucks, but I love how the dress turned out. Sleeping Beauty- Spoiler:
This was a ten minute project that came about because I was working with my bebe sister and trying to wean her off the color blue. Then she abandoned me and I decided to turn Aurora into a corpse. I want to redo it at some point because the perspective makes me dizzy... but maybe that's a good thing? IDK. Snow White- Spoiler:
The first attempt at a Disney Princess went horribly horribly wrong when I figured out that the borders in the Pixie game did not necessarily match the borders in the saved product... apparently. But by then it was too late, and Snow White had random hair floating around her in the creepy forest. (I enjoyed experimenting with the translucent thingies to try shading her dress, and making forestry.) Pixie Senshi - Inner Senshi- Spoiler:
This one is adorbs. I dislike the fact that Usagi is waving sparkles in Rei's face, but, eh. Still adorbs. Pixie Senshi - Outer Senshi- Spoiler:
This one ahdjlkhslfdgsfg. I hate hate hate Haruka's hand in Michiru's face. And also Hotaru's hair. (Most of the hair in the game I ended up supplementing with extensions - Hotaru's hair ended up mostly made from scratch.) But the Garnet Orb and the Mirror turned out FANTASTIC. And a Self-Portrait! ...because why not? - Spoiler:
Real!TM Ugly Outfit. Reasonable resemblance. GASP. I forgot one that I wanted to post... mostly because it's cute. Sailor Senshi in Sailor Senshi Game- Spoiler:
I was just doing some modeling of Senshi forms (because I could, hurr), and turned the Senshi into a healthy mix of themselves. Ami's overly sparkly blue glasses are supposed to be her visor. Makoto's sparkly hair is hiding her little antenna/lightning rod. Sailor Luna in this is a year younger than Usagi... because I didn't want to make her Chibi-Luna (like in PGSM). Also note Makoto's hair tie thingy! |

| The Crystal Chronicles, of dubious naming, is a seven+ season story arc that, chronologically, begins pre-Silver Millennium, but, storywise, begins three years post anime-canon. The first season has scattered the original Senshi across the globe while they follow their dreams during a time of relative peace, leaving Tokyo as a somewhat unprotected supernatural hub. After a new enemy awakens, Helios accidentally on purpose awakens two new Senshi - Sailor Janus and Sailor Earth, in Tokyo. They are quickly joined by 'Sailor Elysion' - who is in fact Chibi-Usa, who has taken on a new identity to try to protect the timeline (and keep herself from getting into trouble over travelling to the past again). More information available at the END. - Image of the three Senshi::
- Sailor Elysion/Sailor Moon:
About the Girl
Name: Usagi Small Lady Serenity
Nickname: Chibi-Usa Age: 16 Birthday: June 30
Blood Type: O Sun Sign: Cancer
Likes: Rabbits, the colors pink and red, having good friends. Dislikes: Thunder, lightning, house cleaning, dentists, and spooky things. Strongest Subject: Art Weakest Subject: English - Japanese Language Strong Points: She's very extroverted and makes friends quickly. Chibi-Usa is a strong leader who is more than capable of accomplishing almost anything she sets her mind to. She has a very strong will, with equally strong principles and excellent judgment. She strives for success in everything she sets out to do, regardless of whether it's something she particularly likes or not (like languages). She is also a very compassionate and kind person, and is perceptive enough to use these qualities to accomplish the most good for any one individual. Has Trouble With: Chibi-Usa has trouble delegating things when she takes on too much responsibility. At sixteen, she's still very much a spoiled brat who must have everything done perfectly. She is an extreme perfectionist, and is somewhat self-aware about this, but sometimes cannot help but give in to the urge to have a tantrum or a moping session when things just aren't right. Chibi-Usa also has a problem letting go of her pride and accepting help from others when she needs it - unless soundly convinced otherwise (by virtue of them being her parents, elders, or anyone else she is more likely to listen to as an authoritative figure). Dream: Chibi-Usa still dreams of being a beautiful lady with her own noble Prince and court.
Personality: Chibi-Usa is a very extroverted, cheerful teenager with a down-to-earth bratty streak sometimes exacerbated by the fact that she's more intelligent than most people expect (of her mother's daughter). She's passionate, compassionate, and outside of Senshi business she's full of life and inclined to want to seize the day.
Chibi-Usa is very booksmart, but has had streaks of laziness when it comes to her school work. She very much prefers hands-on work to talking or listening to lectures, and has excelled in various sports (having not inherited her mother's clumsy streak), gardening, working with animals, and art and music. Chibi-Usa despises linguistics and finds formal diplomacy extremely distasteful, but powers through anyway because she understands that she might one day need to know how to speak to so-and-so, or understand French, or...
Chibi-Usa has a bad habit that she never entirely got rid of of attempting to do things alone. Part of this has stemmed from how distant her life in 20th Century Tokyo seems from court life in Crystal Tokyo - where she is the only Sailor Moon, the Outer Planetary Senshi have resumed their posts, and the Inner Planetary Senshi have their own duties. When Chibi-Usa is home, the natural support system she had in the past has been lost in ways that she acknowledges, and she has yet to find a way to replace it. As such, she has a tendency to get in over her head when she finds a monster or spirit that needs to be taken care of, and can't wait for Mercury to get out of the labs or Venus to make it back from wherever she's wandered off too.
Chibi-Usa also occasionally has traumatic flashbacks and extremely bad days where all she wants is to be anti-social and alone - usually these are days with severe thunderstorms, or bouts of extreme loneliness.
Personal History: Chibi-Usa was born in the 20th Century, days before her mother, Neo-Queen Serenity, was forced to place the Earth in a form of stasis after it lost its ability to support life - temporarily killing King Endymion. 900 years later the powers in the Earth began to awaken again, and Neo-Queen Serenity began to release her hold on the planet. The Sailor Senshi had periodically awakened on their own throughout the long sleep to protect the Earth, and were able to slowly bring together the awakening people of Earth who began to unite as one people.
Chibi-Usa was raised in the Crystal Palace, which formed over the former Juuban District of Tokyo over the Long Sleep. When she was five years old, she accidentally stole the Silver Crystal from its case in the Palace - allowing the Dark Moon Clan to attack the Earth. Everything was destroyed, and 90% of the Earth's population was killed outright. Chibi-Usa stole the Time Key from her one true friend, Sailor Pluto, and fled to the one place she knew the Silver Crystal might still exist. One thousand years in the past, she met Usagi Tsukino and her friends, who saved the future from the Dark Moon. Chibi-Usa was aware that afterwards, the future was being rewritten to account for the changes she had made to the past - enough that those killed in the Dark Moon Clan's attack were brought back to life, as if the attack had never happened.
Chibi-Usa began to travel between the two timelines with her parents' blessing, causing further changes that no one except she and Sailor Pluto were aware of. Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune appeared in the future, and everyone acted like they had always been around, though Chibi-Usa knew otherwise. Sailor Saturn was spoken of but never seen, and Sailor Pluto told Chibi-Usa that she would just have to be patient with her. And then there was Helios, and Elysian. Chibi-Usa was enchanted by Helios, and, after returning to the future for the last time, couldn't wait to meet him again. She was heartbroken to find that Elysian had been sealed in the event that had caused Crystal Tokyo's formation. Helios had died a thousand years before.
The night after she discovered this, Chibi-Usa found out that she had a five year old sister that she had never seen before. Kousagi Tsukino was a quiet, mulish little girl with a stubborn, snide little orange cat. Chibi-Usa was stunned by Kousagi's appearance, and made a conscious decision not to let on to her parents that she had never met Kousagi before. She went to consult with Sailor Pluto on the timeline... only to discover that Sailor Pluto had been dead for a thousand years. The Time Gates were guarded by Sailor Neptune and Uranus, who awaited the day Sailor Pluto would be reincarnated. Then Kousagi Tsukino stole the Time Key and ran one thousand years into the past... and Chibi-Usa lost her ability to transform into Sailor Moon.
About the Senshi
Sailor Name: Sailor Elysion Realm of Influence: Dreams
Transformation Phrase: N/A Transformation Item: Henshin Brooch - Pink Moon Star Compact Transformation Sequence: Chibi-Usa closes her eyes and her clothes melt away. Pink ribbons erupt from her brooch as she raises her hands above her head, wrapping around her torso as she spins - excess ribbons trail behind her, forming a pair of pink fairy wings. She crosses her hands and slides them down her body - the pink fairy wings disappear in a shower of pink and gold sparkles that becomes her collar and skirt. Boots and jewelry appear as Chibi-Usa's hands pass in front of her body, and four more ribbons tie off into her two bows.
Symbol: A gold crescent moon. Colors: Gold, pink, and red. Outfit: Chibi-Usa's outfit is based on the traditional white leotard. Her skirt and collar are now primarily gold, with thick dark pink stripes near their outer borders. She has a dark pink front bow and back bow, and a gold star locket with a tiny crescent moon in the center of a gold gem at the heart of the star. There is a red heart at the front of her belt - which is a pale yellow, she wears the same red gems and white clips at the front of her odangoes that she always has, with three additional white barrettes. Her tiara is set with a crescent moon, her earrings are stars with crescent moons, her choker is gold with a red heart gem at its front. She has translucent, white winged shoulder guards, elbow length gloves with gold glove rings, and white knee high boots with a gold trim. Weapons: Chibi-Usa possesses a long, dark pink Moon Wand with a golden crescent moon at its end and a large golden heart in the center of the crescent moon - with an empty cavity likely intended for the Silver Crystal. Chibi-Usa uses this in several low-powered attacks, but has yet to be able to unlock its full potential. Items: Pink Moon Star Compact, Pink Moon Wand, Pink Moon Crystal
Sailor History: Chibi-Usa briefly loses her ability to transform into a Sailor Senshi in the past, and is aided by both Helios and the ghost of the old Queen Serenity until she attains a new transformation.
Sailor Elysion is Chibi-Usa's new alias. Chibi-Usa decides that, to preserve the timeline, she must hide the fact that she's even there from the other Senshi. Aided by her new transformation and fuku, Chibi-Usa calls herself Sailor Elysion and allies with new Senshi and the residents of Elysion while she searches for her younger sister, Kousagi Tsukino, who has vanished into the past.
Meanwhile, an enemy from the Silver Millennium has been awakened, and is beginning a campaign to find the Three Sacred Crystals - the Golden Crystal, the Silver Crystal, and the Dark Crystal.
Mission: Sailor Elysion's mission is to find the littlest Princess of Crystal Tokyo, limit the disturbances to the timeline, and discover the truth of what happened to Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn - hopefully in such a way that she can save them without anyone noticing it was her.
Notes: While this concept is older than dirt (as far as the history of my docs goes), I've only recently begun reworking this story. As such, I have discovered that I STILL can't figure out whether it's supposed to be Elysion/Elysian, I've scrapped the attacks that this Chibi-Usa could use (hopefully in favor of new attacks), etc, etc. I've cut some information from this that would count as spoilery for the story itself. - Sailor Janus:
About the Girl
Name: Mei Shirato Name Meaning: "blossom" "white gate"
Age: 15 Birthday: January 21
Eyes: Dark blue, wide and round in such a way that makes her look younger than she is. Hair: Mei has thick and curly black hair that's tinted blue, that she has grown out to the small of her back. Skin: Mei is very pale, with a porcelain complexion. Height: 5'2 Weight: 120 pounds, soaking wet. Build: Mei is very curvy, and is rounded in such a way that she despairs of being thought fat.
Blood Type: B Sun Sign: Aquarius
Likes: Good humor, pie, virtuous people, getting away with things (while still being 'good'), being pretty, being independent. Dislikes: Lemons, bad hair days, cowards, being dirty, moral dilemmas, being taken off guard, and not knowing where she stands with people, Strongest Subject: History. Weakest Subject: English. Strong Points: Mei is a very righteous person with solid morals, and is a dependable friend to anyone who asks anything of her. She is loyal, protective, and thoughtlessly comes to the defense of anyone who seems to need it. She is very independent and capable of taking care of herself and others, but is also capable and willing to let go of things and let others take care of things for her. She is a strong kinesthetic learner, incredibly empathetic and capable of discerning individual's motivations and intentions. (She is able to use this against her enemies, but has no idea what to do with any information she discerns about her allies. Has Trouble With: Mei has trouble working in a team or a group, or following orders or directions from authoritative figures. She's a quintessential lone wolf, who, while willing to give up responsibility, is still inclined to take on more than she can handle. She is much better suited towards working with a single partner - or on her own - than she is working with a team, due to clashing personalities, styles, and the fact that she is an unbending stubborn mule. She deliberately attempts to be a passive individual, because she knows that she has an abrasive personality. She has an incredible focus that allows her to move mountains, but has trouble juggling between one thing or another (leading to trouble when she has to deal with more than one responsibility she's taken on at a time). Dream: Mei wants to join some sort of law enforcement agency when she's older - hopefully, some law enforcement agency that will allow her to do good work and be a maverick. She would also like to fall in love - with someone who meets her high standards, and who won't be chased off by her personality or obligations.
Personality: Mei is a very righteous person with strong convictions and principles, that she consciously tempers with empathy and a peculiar code of honor (that she expects no one else to follow). She is a very contrary person, who prizes who own manipulative capabilities and dishonesty even as she strives for loyalty and truth. She is very controlled despite her own natural inclination to give into her temper and blow right through anyone who opposes her. When she sets her mind on something, she is capable of moving mountains to accomplish her goals. Mei is extremely stubborn and loyal, and will do anything for her friends.
Mei is afraid of letting other people down, which is one reason she does poorly in groups and teams, and she is conscientious enough of this fear that her fear is compounded because she knows it is the sort of fear that an enemy could take advantage of.
Personal History: Mei Shirato was born to a young, wealthy couple in Osaka, where she was raised until she was five years old and her father was killed in a car accident. She and her mother moved to Tokyo, where her mother remarried and gave birth to Mei's two half-sisters before dying of cancer. Mei continued to live with her step-father, though she distanced herself from her family so that she wouldn't be a burden on them. When she was eleven years old, she began to have horrific nightmares that she believed were connected to the Sailor Senshi. She never admitted this to anyone.
Now, Mei is in the ninth grade, and preparing for her high school entrance examinations - as well as planning to rent an apartment with money she inherited from her father's parents when they died. One day on her way to school, Mei literally runs into a young woman - who, late to work, never notices that her bracelet shatters and loses one of the black shards attached to the bracelet. Mei picks up the shards, and takes them so that later on she can attempt to find the woman who they belonged to. Meanwhile, the power resting within the shards sparks to life at her touch, attracting attention from Helios, who has been searching for answers concerning Metallia for some time. He sends out Hawk's Eye, Fish Eye, and Tiger's Eye to find who possessed the new power that he sensed. Hawk's Eye finds Mei, and guides her into awakening as Sailor Janus, the Soldier of the Void.
About the Senshi
Sailor Name: Sailor Janus Realm of Influence: Void
Transformation Phrase: Janus Prism Power, Make Up! Transformation Item: A silver bracelet with three black crystal shards dangling as charms. Transformation Sequence: The bracelet glows dimly as she raises her right hand over her heart and her clothes melt away into the shadows. She crosses her arms together against her breast, and closes her eyes as the black crescent moon sigil appears on her forehead. She raises her arms above her head, catching the bracelet with her left hand and drawing the silver links out - lengthening the chain by several feet as the center shard absorbs all the surrounding light, before hundreds of dimly glowing black ribbons spring from it, surrounding her body and forming the white leotard around her torso. More ribbons drape themselves over her shoulders and down her legs, forming a black collar and black pants - that cling tightly to her thighs and upper legs, and flare out around her ankles. In a pool of shadow, a pair of pumps appear on her feet. She draws the chain down around her body, the silver links glowing as her brooch, earrings, and belt forms, the three black crystal shards trailing dark blue ribbons that tie off into a thin bow at her back, wrapping over her breasts in an intricate pattern that's pinned by a silver brooch. The chain disappears, and the three black crystal shards form the black gem of her tiara, the black gem in the center of Sailor Janus' brooch, and a black gem in the center of her belt.
Symbol: An upturned black crescent moon. Colors: Black, silver, and blue. Outfit: Sailor Janus has a normal Sol white bodysuit/leotard, a black sailor collar (with no stripes), and tight black pants that flair at the ankles in place of a skirt. Her shoes are black pumps, she has no gloves, shoulder pads, or choker. She wears white crescent moon earrings, a gold tiara with a black gem in the center, and a black gem in the center of her belt. Thin dark blue ribbons are wrapped in a pattern around her chest and back, and tied off into a back bow in the small of her back. Her brooch is a large, silver circle with a black gem set in the center.
Fighting Style: Sailor Janus fights with precise hand-to-hand, as her powers are built around her ability to absorb her enemies power and redirect it back at them. She's very fast and light on her feet, and more vulnerable towards physical weapons than magical attacks.
First Attack Name: Flash! (Offensive) First Attack Appearance: All of the light in the surrounding area coalesces into a small, laserlight point of light in the gem of Sailor Janus's tiara, before flaring brilliantly. First Attack Effect/Damage: Blinds Sailor Janus's opponents. Sailor Janus herself is also blinded, but compensates with her kinesthetic abilities and preternatural spacial awareness. First Attack Accuracy: Wide-range damage, mostly passive unless the opponent/bystanders are exceptionally sensitive.
Second Attack Name: Sonic Boom! (Offensive) Second Attack Appearance: The surrounding area goes completely silent as Sailor Janus holds both of her hands above her head, as if she is holding a very small ball. When she drops her hands the sound that she is holding escapes, creating an incapacitating sonic boom. Second Attack Effect/Damage: It deafens everyone in the area and sometimes causes environmental or property damage. This is an extremely dangerous attack to use in a group, as it incapacitates everyone nearby, including Sailor Janus herself. Sailor Janus makes up for the damage caused to her by quickly attempting her finishing move. Second Attack Accuracy: Wide-range damage, sometimes injures bystanders/opponents outright depending on how close they are to Sailor Janus when she releases the attack.
Third Attack Name: Death Strike! (Offensive) Third Attack Appearance: Sailor Janus touches her target with the tips of her fingers, releasing absorbed energy in a deadly, focused attack. Depending on the type of energy she has absorbed and released, there are a variety of effects that can occur. Third Attack Effect/Damage: Often fatal for the target, can sometimes vary depending on how strong the target was in the first place. Third Attack Accuracy: Extremely accurate, but requires Sailor Janus to make physical contact with her target, after absorbing some amount of magical energy.
Sailor History: Sailor Janus awakened during the final days of the Silver Millennium in an unknown place and time, and was present when Queen Beryl attacked and destroyed the Moon Kingdom. She was reborn during the 20th Century, and awakened after coming into contact with Dark Crystal Shards that were being held by Naru Osaka. Sailor Janus works with Hawk's Eye as her partner (and is grateful that he can transform and fly away so that she can't damage him), and teams up with Sailor Earth and Sailor Elysion after a time, working with Helios and the inhabitants of Elysion to defeat an enemy that has emerged from the distant past.
Mission: Sailor Janus's mission is to protect the Earth and her friends and family while searching for information about her last incarnation and fighting an unknown enemy from the distant past, that may or may not be connected to Sailor Janus herself.
Notes: Sailor Janus is the first new Senshi appearing in the series, and the first main character to appear. She is also one of my oldest OCs, and is almost ten years old (without yet appearing in any public works). I've struggled with her personality over the years, and with balancing her character with the canon characters. Her backstory has actually changed very little - originally, Sailor Janus was an American girl in LA named Melania White, and this whole story would have taken place in LA. The only thing I've changed about her is her name and location - her civilian backstory is otherwise completely the same, and her Senshi backstory (while untouched upon in this profile) has never been changed since its conception - unlike almost every other OC I've created. - Sailor Earth:
About the Girl
Name: Naru Osaka Age: 19 Birthday: January 1
Eyes: Teal. Hair: Naru has shoulder length, wavy red hair that she usually ties up into a ponytail or pulls back with a large bow.
Blood Type: B Sun Sign: Capricorn
Likes: Chocolate, ice cream, rainy days, jewelry crafting, languages, and jazz. Dislikes: Insects, blood, alcohol, bad grades, horses, driving. Strongest Subject: Japanese language. Weakest Subject: Math. Strong Points: Naru is compassionate and kind, and able to see the good inside anyone. She is optimistic and faithful, and does her best to try to help anyone who needs it. She is a hard worker, and is humble and unassuming. Has Trouble With: Naru has self-esteem issues and finds it hard to believe that she can accomplish anything important. She sometimes overreaches herself, and has occasionally placed her faith in individuals who turn against her. Dream: Naru dreams of building a home with a good, loving husband, and maybe one day being able to be friends with Usagi (and everyone else she drifted apart from, after Sailor Moon appeared...).
Personality: Naru Osaka is a calm, serene young woman who is highly compassionate and generous. She automatically looks beyond her initial perception, and always gives the benefit of the doubt to anyone she meets.
She has self-esteem issues that can be traced back to her early inability to defend herself from monsters, and losing one of the people she loved to them. She is terrified of the same thing happening again, and would be more than happy to stay out of Senshi affairs.
Personal History: Naru Osaka was born to a business man and a business woman, who opened up the Osa-P Jewelry Store together. She has one younger sister named Naruru, who is seven years younger than Naru is. Naru's parents separated without divorcing when she was in the sixth grade, and Naru began to assist her mother in running their jewelry store to make up for her father's absence.
When Naru was fourteen years old, she and her mother were attacked by a monster in the Osa-P Jewelry Store, and they were saved by Sailor Moon. Monsters began to attack the people in the Juuban District frequently, with Naru becoming a constant target. Naru brushed off the attacks with aplomb at first, until she met Masato Sanjouin and became infatuated with him. He was soon revealed to be Nephrite, one of the men who was directing the monsters, but Naru couldn't care less about that after he died for her.
She mourned him, never revealing her secret to anyone. Her classmate Gurio Umino caught on that something was wrong with her, and began to attempt to help her get over her depression. Instead, some time later, everyone forgot what had happened, and who the Sailor Senshi were... except for Naru. Everyone's memories disappeared except Naru's. Naru attempted to talk to Usagi, Umino, anyone she could about what had happened, but no one understood what she was talking about. Then she realized that Usagi also didn't remember the new friends she had started hanging out with before Sailor Moon had disappeared. This realization planted the seed in Naru's mind that later helped her realize that Usagi was Sailor Moon.
On the day she confronted Usagi, there was a giant, evil black ship hovering over Tokyo. Naru stood, waiting in a nearby park and watching for flashing lights, or anything that could show her what was happening. There were several explosions, before a bright, white light enveloped the ship... and it vanished. Two days later, Naru went to look at the spot the ship had been. She found nothing but three black crystal shards, that she took and turned into charms for a silver bracelet.
Naru became distanced from Usagi over the following years, and dated Umino until he went to university and they separated amicably. Naru attended language classes, having discovered a talent for linguistics during high school, and assisted in running the Osa-P Jewelry Store. Life went on, until one day she ran into a teenaged girl and lost two of the shards from her bracelet...
Several days later, Naru was attacked for the first time in years by a monster, and was saved by Tiger's Eye, another man who had almost killed her years ago. Tiger's Eye took her to a man named Helios, who created a new bracelet for her that would allow her to transform into Sailor Earth.
About the Senshi
Sailor Name: Sailor Earth Realm of Influence: Healing, Life
Transformation Phrase: Earth Star Power! Transformation Item: A gold bracelet with a rose colored star charm. Transformation Sequence: Naru crosses both of her arms over her breasts, closing her eyes as her clothes disappear into a pool of light. She raises both arms over her head, catching the gold bracelet chain in her right hand. The chain lengthens by several feet as she draws her hands apart, and hundreds of yellow and bronze ribbons erupt from the center of the star.
The yellow ribbons envelope her torso, tightening and turning into a white leotard as she spins - bronze ribbons drape themselves over her shoulders and down her legs, forming a brown collar, skirt, and knee high boots, before excess ribbons tie off into two dark brown bows. A gold cross shines on her forehead as she draws her hands down her body, the thin golden chain still between them.
The chain collapses into gold sparkles, forming her gold tiara and gold, six pointed star brooch, then her yellow choker, glove rings, lining at the top of her boots, and hair ribbon. The rose colored star charm hangs in midair for a moment, glowing brightly, before splitting into three points of light and placing a rose colored gem set into her tiara, a heart shaped gem on the front of her choker, and a gem on the inside of her brooch.
Symbol: A bronze Celtic cross. Colors: Brown, bronze, rose, and gold. Outfit: Sailor Earth has a typical white Sol bodysuit/leotard, and wears a brown skirt and sailor collar (with no excess stripes). She has dark brown front and back bows, and light brown rounded knee high boots with gold trim. She wears elbow length white opera gloves with three gold glove rings, she has three white shoulder pad rings, a gold choker with a rose colored, heart shaped gem in the center, pink pearl earrings, a gold tiara with a rose colored gem set in the center. Her brooch is a bronze compact with a six pointed gold star on the front, covering a dark, rose colored gem that shines on the inside of the brooch.
Attack Name: Eir's Blessing (Healing) Attack Appearance: Sailor Earth drops to her knees on the field, and places her hands on the ground. Energy from the earth rises up in a golden mist. Attack Effect/Damage: Eir's Blessing comes in the form of a golden mist that heals whomever Sailor Earth directs it to heal. Critical injuries can cause Sailor Earth to severely drain her own energy, resulting in her incapacitating herself. Attack Accuracy: Extremely accurate, however, the flow of energy can be interrupted and redirected by a third party. Sailor Earth must always be careful that she isn't accidentally healing an enemy.
Sailor History: Naru has a mysterious past as a Sailor Senshi, that leads her to question how she became one in the first place... and why she didn't awaken as one when it was truly necessary, when she could have saved Nephrite. Helios believes that Nephrite somehow blocked her energy, or protected her in such a way that she was unable to awaken. Naru is uncertain what to believe.
There has never been a Sailor Earth before, and Helios is keeping mum on what he knows of Naru's history. Naru learns that she had a past life during the Silver Millennium, and that her past self never awakened as a Sailor Senshi. There is some confusion on the matter of the Earth Crystal, the Golden Crystal, which Naru has been told belongs to a man called Prince Endymion. Given what Naru learns about the Golden Crystal and the source of Senshi powers, she doubts that she is truly the Senshi of the Earth. Especially as she has no attacks to speak of, and cannot protect herself, and is only able to heal... which cannot be the power of a true soldier.
Mission: Naru's mission is to survive, and protect herself and her friends, and to learn to use her powers to the best of her limited abilities.
Notes: I dropped a lot of information out of this... because spoilery. The Crystal Chronicles is a mess of an epic storyline that would chronicle the formation of Crystal Tokyo, the history of Nemesis and Metallia, and how Chibi-Usa comes into her own power as Sailor Moon in the future Crystal Tokyo as she ties all the threads of history together. The first (chronological) story was set to be a novel length fantasy adventure Pre-Moon Kingdom with a child Queen Serenity, Queen Nehellenia (who has traveled back from the past after being helped by Sailor Moon), and the formation of the Silver Millennium after a catastrophic attack by the Black Sun, Nemesis. The second and third stories would be one-shot adventures during the Silver Millennium concerning Venus and a group of extremists on Earth. The fourth story would be about Nehellenia's attempt to reconcile the timeline to save her kingdom from destruction. The fifth story would be the plot behind the plot to destroy the Silver Millennium from the Hidden Kingdom, Janus. There is an in-between story (half-written) about the survivors of the Silver Millennium's destruction, the now immortal citizens of the Earth and how they operate in the background over the course of the anime, catching up two anime side-characters in their plots. Sailor Janus, Sailor Elysion, and Sailor Earth are the three lead characters of a three part/three season series (with cameos by the main Senshi) that leads up to the formation of Crystal Tokyo, complete with how the Amazoness Quartet comes into their own as Sailor Senshi (...and then they die, and are reborn during the formation of Crystal Tokyo), a slue of other, under-powered and untrained Senshi are discovered, and it winds down into an un-resolvable tragedy. ...until Chibi-Usa returns to the future in the fourth sequential 'season' with Kousagi, and begins to resolve things, having discovered the truth behind Sailor Pluto's disappearance, Hotaru's latest rebirth, and the sealing of Elysion and the secrets of the Dark Kingdom. (There's also the plot of Another Story woven into this, only with Chibi-Usa's crew instead of the original Senshi.) It's a fun mess that's been getting more and more tangled since I was eleven. I'm cleaning up some of it and decided to post the profiles of the three lead characters, because why not.
