| I've wanted to make my own avatars and sigs but have no idea on where to begin? Is there a program I must purchase to make them or something I can download online for free? |

| well, it depends. there are lots of programs you can use. there is GIMP, i think it's free. I use Photoshop. Theoretically, you have to pay... But you can find the program and the crack on the pirate bay and others...
it really depends. |

| Gimp is GREAT! That's actually where I make all of my graphics. I figure if it's good enough for it then I see no need for anything else! xD There is also a great program called Photoscape that you can use for small scaled projects and I find it better for gifs if you want to make a siggie like that.  |

| I use Paint.NET it is somewhere between Photoshop and regular Paint and it is free ^^

| I would also recommend using/trying Paint.net. despite its name, it is a download one that is free. It isn't as quite as capable as gimp, but I personally feel it was a lot more user friendly. HOWEVER it has been a while since I used it, so it might have changed. |
