I thought it was cool for this forum to have a creative section, however my art is not drawing or writing, it not exactly media either, well just one part of it.

Anyways, I thought I make a little thread about the stuff I do, there are 2 things that I'm very passionate for in my life, one is garage kit building, for those of you that are going "o.O garage what?" garage kit building is a hobby where you build and paint your own resin figure of a specific character, it's called a kit because the figure comes in pieces that you put together, I just paint Asian kits only, there are western garage kits but I never liked them at all, so I just go for the delicate and awesome figures that Japanese sculptors come up with.
Obviously there's a lot of work that needs to go into a figure, so it's kinda of a dying art that most just prefer to purchase PVC's which are massed produced and many times have flaws and errors, contrary to the garage kit which is very detailed and has it's own personality, that's what I love about it

My second great passion is video editing, so I decided to combine the 2 and made a series on how to paint garage kits

So I'm gonna be here sharing my completed work and also my videos on my work LOL

My last project (that I just finished about a week ago) is this gal right here ^_^

She is a 1/6 scale figure of Sailor Cosmos, I had her since 2009 but didn't want to paint her until I was satisfied with my skills as a GK'er and 3 years later here she is

Ok I've always wanted to get into this but I know it can get pretty
expensive with all the material and such.

Thanks! my goal is make the person laugh a little while they see me in action, I've always thought that if you want to teach someone something, do it with comedy and they will remember it better XD plus it's not that boring


And yeah, prices can be a little high but you pay for quality and uniqueness even though my cosmos is one of many, she has little things that make her unique

I'm unsure when I will have the money to get you to make me one too. XD
I would want something really really similar to yours however I would want a little bit different. I love the blue hue to her, I'd have to get her eyes a bit more blue.

When you made the top of her staff transparent you could have painted a star in the top ball, maybe? or some how put a star up there.

Sure, normally when I receive a commission I always ask how the person would like the paint job, details, etc.


Don't worry about the money for now, I actually am working with 2 commissions at the moment, but my slots will be closed until june-july of next year because I need to work on a special diorama project for a contest, but after that, I'm gonna be free, I only take 3 commissions at a time so if you want me to add you to a waiting list let me know, in the meantime you could think about specific details you would like on her

I just watched your video on skin tone techniques and I have to say thank you SO much for making a video like that, I've been looking for a guide or tutorial or anything on skin-tone but to no avail. I brought my first reskin kit recently, a Sailor Uranus/Sailor Neptune one, but I've never actually owned or painted a resin kit so I'm a total noob but you videos really help :3

well I didn't actually made it as in sculpted it, it's a kit that you buy that comes unpainted and unassembled, I just painted it and assembled it ^_^


Although I do modify kits and make them look like a different character, I have 2 ideas for 2 new sailor moon figures and it does involve some heavy sculpting

Yes but you PAINTED it! And it looks like it was done professionally or manufactured, it is that perfect. I can't wait to see everything else you make - even if it is not Sailor Moon related, please do share with us.

It's a 4 part WIP, he was compleated in 6 months (new record for me lol) plus it was my forst time ever sculpting so I feel that it turned out ok

It's ok. I love to do both things so I love to paint my kits and I also love to edit videos

It was really interesting to watch, although a bit long. xD But I like watching WIP and Tutorials of different crafts, and I never realized so much goes into resin building kits. thats really some dedication! I need to remember to subscribe to you on youtube.

Long time no see! still waiting for official SM 2013 news on how animation and story wide will have but in the mean time, I'm always busy painting even more kits XD
So I didn't forget you and just so you know what I was doing these past couple of months,
Taa daa!!
This is an alternate color version of Raira, reds and blacks were inversed, she was completed in 4 months.
I had a lot of issues with large gaps on her torso, she was also very difficult and tedious to mask, but I'm pretty satisfied on how she turned out.
She was my last completed commission of the year, she is with her new owner who is very happy to have her at his site now






















And yup! I have even more projects up my sleeves XD

Ohhhhh it's a been a while since I last stopped at my old Art thread XD

With all the bad news about the new Sailor Moon Series being delayed until 2014 I haven't had time to come in here and chat a bit, but! I have some more fun goodies to show you all again!

For this section let me explain a little on my opinion on OC senshi ...
There have been very few times when I like an original Character that somebody might create, the character never has anything interesting, it's just a copy paste of an original senshi, but there was someone who made an OC that I just loved when I saw the design, I loved it so much and I decided to actually make a figure out of her!


I'm pretty sure many of you already saw the Cosmic Sailor Moon that Singing Kiwi created, this has been the only OC that has caught my eye until now in all my time at DeviantArt.


Kiwi was very surprised when I asked her if I could get permission to create a figure using her design, she said YES! and also was kind enough to make me a quick reference sheet for the sailor suit to be able to make great details on the figure.

This was the original Art she showed that got my attention:



And this is the model I'm using a base to modify



I'm just doing the initial "stripping" of the pieces and things she won't be needing
