Silver Millennium – Masquerade Ball

This is our second special RP event taking place in the Silver Millennium RPG forum. All Galaxy Cauldron members are allowed to come and celebrate in the coming Silver Millennium Masquerade Ball! The Royal Court of the Golden Kingdom herby invites you to role-play your favorite character and Sailor Pluto has used her powers to allow members to bring crossover characters and Otakus to celebrate with the senshi!
Princess Serenity and her Sailor Senshi have sneaked into the festivities to get a close glimpse of life on Earth and thus are now joining the celebration. But, not everyone in attendance is supportive of the Moon Kingdom… not Beryl.

This event is a wonderful opportunity for first time role-players to try role-playing since no profile is required! This is also a great opportunity for experienced role-players who have never played a certain character before!

Nectaris sat quietly in her room as her grandmother finished up doing her buns and brushing out the pigtails. She felt a little excited but nervous as well. She glanced to the side a bit where her door was cracked up, catching a glimpse of lilac hair. It was still difficult for her to believe it, she had an uncle! Perhaps that was why Mama stood aside talking with him. But she couldn't understand why her grandmother avoided the man. She still ran over what had happened only yesterday, and the shock that had happened after.



Sailor Pluto had come before them. The royal family had been confused, especially it's queen and heiress. This was not the same Pluto who had saved Nectaris during the Black Moon Clan's attack, and not the same Pluto who had married Endymion's brother, becoming Queen of the Earth. And she had a young man around Neo Queen Serenity's age, with lilac hair like Mother Serenity but deep dark blue eyes, unlike hers or Serenity's. A gold bracelet with a star hung around his right wrist, full of a vaguely familiar power that Neo Queen Serenity and Nectaris could feel.

Pluto quickly explained, saying that he was Prince Yue Kou, son of Queen Serenity and King Consort Seiya Kou. And that she was indeed a different Pluto, going through various universes and offering an invitation to a formal ball. Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion had glanced at each other and said they would need to discuss it, and would give an answer later at night. Pluto had nodded and bowed away gracefully.

Nectaris had soon come up, speaking with her new uncle who seemed delighted to see her, even though she wasn't what he expected. He was funny and nice, and soon Nectaris had asked for permission to go with Yue as her guardian. Her mother and father had exchanged glanced before they had acquiesced and given their permission.



Nectaris smiled to herself at the memory. She was growing more excited the more she thought about it! And it helped that she wore a new formal gown, swiftly made for the event. It was done in a traditional style like her mothers had been, but with her own touches here and there. The bustline had been scallop shelled with 3 rings of green fabric sewn on top, to mimic her mothers white rings. Two straps hung off her shoulders, one green and the other gold.

The very bottom layer of her gown was pink, with a layer of gold then silver on top, starting from two lines of gold with green pearls betweenthem, bringing the gown at that part close to her body and allowing the skirt to flow. The colors were meant to represent her, her mother and her father. And then her grandmother had graced her with a traditional Moon formal cloak, with two crystal roses attached.

One was silvery white to mimic her mothers Silver Crystal, and the other golden yellow to mimic her fathers Golden Crystal. Tears had come to her eyes when she was presented with it and eagerly allowed it placed on her shoulders, wonderfully light. She was broken out of her revelry as Yue and her mother came into her room.

Yue looked to his niece and mother and smiled, even as he gave his uncomfortable collar a tug. When it had been decided Nectaris would go with him, and that he had no formal outfit, one had been made for him. Thankfully it was a bit simple, a deep red princely suit with white trim. His customary black belts had been replaced with a silver and navy blue one, a small tribute to his mother and father. And a white cloak hung from the side of his shoulder, held on with a golden crescent brooch.

Though he felt a bit awkward about the layer of sheer cloth on top of the white satin cape, but his sister had insisted, it being traditional for Moon royalty. How could he deny the sister he finally got to meet, kind of? Yue moved forward and crouched in front of Nectaris. “So pip-squeak. You ready to go now?” he asked, smiling as he looked into her red eyes. Nectaris blushed and looked vaguely confused before she nodded. “Yes Uncle Yue.” she said, smiling softly in return to him.

Her elegance still surprised Yue, who had heard of a different version of his niece. Ah well, it hurt his head. He smiled as he held out his hand, and Nectaris took it. Pluto came forward, glancing them both over before she opened the portal to the ball and walked in, leading the way. Yue looked down at Nectaris and gave her hand a comforting squeeze before they both followed.

Sailor Venus was walking around the Moon Kingdom's Palace. She was on her way to Serenity's room. Like usual she was late to her lessons. She was almost to her room when she noticed Serenity outside the window. She was heading to the portal that led Earth. Venus quickly ran out of the building and caught Serenity before she made it to the portal.

"Where do you think you're going," said Venus and stood in front of the princess. She noticed she was dressed up and wearing a mask over her eyes.

Sailor Jupiter had followed Venus to Serenitys room because there had been a rumor circulating around the palace that the moon princess was secretly visiting a mysterious beau from Earth but no one knew who. Venus had suggested they spy on Serenity to find out where she was going. Jupiter followed suit behind Venus and noticed the strange portal Serenity had opened.

"Where do you think youre going missy?" Jupiter replied cocking a brow while securing Serenitys arm with her hand. The princess wiggled in protest but was too weak compared to the senshi of thunders strength.

Sailor Pluto had appeared to Gaia, explaining how she was a different Sailor Pluto going around extending an invitation to a formal ball. Gaia was just excited to meet the keeper of the time gates regardless. Gaia had immediately gone to discuss it with her parents, who agreed to let her go, knowing she had been bored with not seeing her older brother Endymion as often as she would have preferred. They also believed it would be good for her to go have fun and mingle with other people since nothing like the ball she was invited to went on there.

Gaia had a special gown made for her in the deep brown of her senshi uniform with thin spaghetti straps. A simple belt of gold beads went around the middle at her waist. Over her shoulders was a lighter brown cape that clipped on her dress straps by round golden clasps. Her hair had been tightly pulled into an updo, clipped in place with a few soft curls framing her face. Her mask was covered in a golden glitter.

She was ready to go when Sailor Pluto arrived to take her by portal. She watched as the elder woman walked through ahead of her. One last goodbye to her parents, and Gaia stepped through herself.

Taking a good look in the mirror, Uranus inspected herself with a critical eye. After a moment longer, she placed her newly crafted mask over her face. It was made with blue and yellow jewels and tan feathers, shaped to resemble that of a hawk.

The rest of her outfit was something her advisers had suggested she change her mind about, but Uranus had insisted and once her mind was set, there was no turning back. Instead of a beautiful gown, she had decided that she wanted to wear clothes that were more typical of men. The dark blue pants were loose and moved in such a way as to give a slight hint of curves, but only if one were to look closely. The shirt was long of sleeve and flared at the ends. It was a typical look for a male from the planet Uranus, and she wondered if anyone would ever look closely enough to be able to tell the difference.

It amused her to take the 'masquerade' part of the ball so seriously. But it was not often that she was allowed a break from her post on her planet, and Uranus was going to make sure to have as much fun as possible while she was able. It wasn't such a bad thing to wear male clothing, so why should she limit herself needlessly? Besides, with her tall stature and messy short hair, she made for a handsome male.

With one last glance at the mirror, Uranus left her guest room, gave a short nod to the guards stationed at her door. She had arrived at the Golden Kingdom the night before, and now that the ball had officially began, she was ready to go see just what the Earthlings had in store.

After making sure her hawk mask was secure, she walked into the ballroom with a grin on her lips and her dark eyes searching.

Checking his watch, the Prince sighed. She was late again.

Endymion had hoped and prayed to the Gods on high that Serenity could make it to their place of meeting on time, as they were to go to the Ball together.

But he knew that she would be late, as she usually was. He smirked. How could he expect anything more from his lovely Princess of the Moon Kingdom? The same girl he had spent many a hour with talking and dreaming. The same girl he helped up when falling, and encouraged when sad. The same girl he deemed fit to have his heart.

Endymion checked his watch again. If the girl that held his heart didn't show up soon, the couple wouldn't make it in time for the Ball.

Truthfully, Darius wasn't so sure about this. In fact, he could actually recall why this was not a good idea no matter how safe it was. However, as he now recalls again, Helios had basically told him that it would be good for him to go back and to see the Golden Kingdom in it's hey-day. Before all the other things that had happened and that he should use this as a learning experience and blah blah blah. If it hadn't been for Diana giving him the 'evil eye', he probably would've just seduced his way out of this.

As it goes, he's not very much into the formal balls side of things. Jerking down his dark red cape, he understood why he isn't wearing his golden king uniform with all its medals, tassels and the like to this party. He can't attract too much attention- even if Pluto had said it would be alright, he's still not sure about this- and that if asked, he should introduce himself as a long distance cousin that's the 'duke' or count of something or another. After all, royal families of the past were extremely large in some regard. No one would notice him. At least, he hopes no one will, it's probably fortunate that this was a masked ball.

Giving himself the last look over, from his golden hair that was swept back into a short low ponytail- huh, his hair grew out over the summer.- that barely bushes the white turtle necked military style uniform with golden accents and a broach at the throat that had a golden cord going to the shoulder where on either side of it are golden shoulder pads that gave him a more broad shouldered look. His cuffs are also white with gold lining them that actually matched the white pants he wore over his black shoes. With something of a heavy sigh, Darius pulls on his white gloves before turning to leave. He wonders, though, if he'll see his father there?

Entering the portal that would transport him to the Ball, he can't help but clutch the pocketwatch his father had given him.

Conri's nervous to go alone, but he looks over at his sister again while she flips her magazine on his bed. "Are you sure you don't want to come, Bridg?" The seven year old asks his older sister, "Mama said you could come too."

"Nah." His older sister says boredly, "You go on and have fun. It's not like anything is going to happen there. You have your key and everything - so it shouldn't be too bad."

"But.."

However all protests seem to simply die off as she just straightens out his little bowtie and made sure the baby blue vest with its' little designs on it, is buttoned up and clean. She then further goes and adjusts his jacket again and smoothes his hair back. "There you go. "

Conri smiles up at his sister, his wine-colored eyes seem very hopeful if a bit fearful, "Do you think I'll make friends there?"

"Yeah." She says and hands him the silver key before tucking it under his shirt, "Remember, don't lose it."

"I won't!"

With that, he turns, with his sister behind him to go to the portal. He's nervous and excited at the same time- what would he see? Who would he see? Would there be kids like him too? "You'll be here wen I come back, right?"

"Yeah." She smiles, leaning against the doorframe, "Now go on and have some fun-and keep up with your mask."

"Ok! Bye Onee-chan!" The little boy left his sister's side and wanders out into the unknown, hoping he'll be guided to this party he's suppose to attend.

To be honest, Elation's surprised that she has gotten such an invitation. Then again, considering it is probably from a different Pluto... Well, that's just something she'll simply live with. Another thing, the dark skinned woman thought, there's really nothing to do right now. Her husband was...

Well, that was a thought she didn't bother finishing as she applies the lipstick to her normally pink lips and adds some eyeshadow to her eyelids. She's gotten much better at this- Hebi would be so proud of her at this point. The fashionista has labored many a day to get the young queen of Golden Tokyo to try to look somewhat presentable and fashionable. Without Hebi, Elation would've thrown on a gown she bought last Christmas to wear.

Fitting her nicely somewhat medium heels on her feet, she added some jewelery- who knows where Sarita and Tora got these from- and picked up the silver key. It's only temporary, just for this party.

After she finished, she rose to her feet and gave herself the once over- The regency style dress with the empire waistline that's belted with a gold band and the center with a sapphire stone. The neckline dipped with little jewels along the line. It was two layered, the white dress with puffed short sleeves and the second layer being a thin layer of dark blue held together with the belt that trailed a little behind her. Her hair is only half up in buns, held by a golden crown and the buns that were only a little higher with the rest cascading down. With pearls studding her ears and a sapphire necklace on a simple golden chain that lays glittering on her chest, she looked like she should be a queen.

She is one, but that is not how she felt much. Still, the invitation that Pluto had given her still made her uneasy- they were enemies, yet...

"It's not the same." She says to herself and takes her black cloak and throws it around her shoulders before securing her mask to her face, "It's not like he'll take you out anyway, so might as well enjoy this."

With that resolve, she heads off to the Time Gate where the portal lies to the Ball.

Hopefully, it wouldn't cause too much trouble. That's the last thing anyone wants anyway.

Yue and Nectaris both blinked their eyes a bit, trying to get used to the bright lights of the crowded ballroom compared to the darkness of the fourth dimension. They slowly looked around, no one noticing the two new guests in the ballroom, and Pluto was nowhere near by. Nectaris frowned a little as she looked around. “Uncle Yue, this can't be right. This looks exactly like Uncle Hyperion's palace on Earth. I’ve seen this ballroom before.” she looked up at Yue for guidance and he thought it over quickly, trying to decide if he should try explaining alternate universes to the seven year old. Probably wouldn't be easy, so he took the easy way out.

“Well it could be different here. It may not belong to Hyperion. But it's a party, so we must be in the right place. Come on now, let's mingle and have fun.” He smiled, laying a hand gently on her shoulder. As they began to move forward, Yue began to notice with growing discomfort that they seemed to be the only ones without masks. Why had Pluto neglected that fact? Something caught his eye and the Lunarian quickly turned his niece in that direction.

A table was laid out near the entrance of the room with masks for guests to pick from, those who had forgotten their own. He smiled and immediately picked out a dark red mask made from velvet, trimmed with silver and gold twined braid around the edges and a rather dashing white tall feather from the side. He placed it on his face, swiftly tying its red velvet string. He looked down at his niece smiling and asked, “Well? What do you think Nectaris?”

The pink haired child looked up blinking before she let out a little giggle before she honestly responded, “Handsome, Uncle Yue.” She grinned up at him until he nudged his head toward the table, making the feather sway a bit in the process, an invitation for her to pick one as well. Nectaris looked down, tilting her head as she observed them very closely. Finally she reached out and picked one up. It sparkled, covered in silver glitter with green glitter designs twisting and looping on top and tiny pink rose blooms lining one side. She put it on her face and tied the silver ribbon behind her head securely and grinned up at her uncle happily.

He nodded his approval, crouching down. “Beautiful, my little princess. Now, would you be willing to give your uncle the first dance?” he saw the brief nervousness on her face before she nodded. He smiled encouragingly before he stood up and offered his arm. Nectaris laid her hand delicately on it and walked with Yue, their cloaks floating gently behind them, giving them an air of grace and mysticism.

Yue led his niece to the dance floor and held her hand tighter, then placed his other on her side under her arm. She lifted it obligingly and put her little hand on his hip. He gave her a moment to get comfortable before he began sweeping her across the dance floor, moving elegantly to the music playing as they had both been taught.

Serenity's delicate skin fingered the pearl white dress nervously as she looked at her reflection in the large mirror in her bedroom. She thought of the Earth Prince who held her heart. She raised the golden star locket do her lips and kissed it softly. The beautiful melody sounded like the stars themselves where kissing her back.

Princess Serenity's long black lashes slowly touched as she held the treasured metal object in her hand. "A moonlight legend, Serenity. That's you." His voice echoed in her head from the night he gave her the locket and told her the name of the beautiful song of the stars.

The large palace bell tower clock sounded from outside, the princess's head turned quickly, and consequently her silver pig tails and flawless dress to swivel as well, in the direction of the door. She was late. All she could think about was him. Their special spot. Picking up the corners of her dress she ran to the door to meet her prince. "Endymion!"

Lost in emotion, Usagi began to fun out the door only to be caught by surprise by Princesses Jupiter and Venus. Surprised she struggled slightly and cried out a little.

"Poo on you Venus! You don't know anything about love!" the princess wailed.

There she was, standing inside the ballroom while people were laughing and talking, some already dancing. Somehow it felt strange for Neptune to be here of all places in the Solar System as she watched the happy Earthlings like from inside a glass ball. Despite her court had wanted her to arrive like royalty usually did, Neptune had resisted the idea from the very start and in the end her advisors had to give up, it was impossible to turn her head when she had made her decision.

The least Neptune wanted was to cause any fuss on Earth by arriving like was supposed to, with her servants in the glory and glow of her court. No. She would probably leave before the finale of the ball and if she had arrived to the Golden Kingdom following the etiquette, Neptune could only imagine how much attention her early and sudden return to her home planet would have caused among the royalty all over the Solar System’s Kingdoms. All she wanted was to be one of the guests and nothing more.

Her aqua hair waving smoothly in the air she headed her light steps towards the table where the guests went when filling up their glasses. Her delicate fingers wrapped the crystal glass lightly in her hold as she filled the glass, only half full, and turned away from the table before people began to queue behind her. Neptune poured a tiny sip of her red drink down to her throat as her turquoise heels clopped slightly her walking closer to the wall which was freer to breathe without having a crowd circling her.

Neptune’s gown was a matching one to the color of her shoes, having few shades darker aqua color, and it was made from two different kinds of silk – the first layer being thicker material which formed the actual dress with narrow shoulder straps decorated with two oval shaped aquamarines and with a layered hem which had the second, almost transparent layer sewed onto it. The light silk scarf on her shoulders topped her outlook and together with her teal, wavy hair, blue eyes and aquamarine earrings it made her look like she was bathing in the waves of the sea.

Close to the entrance, Neptune noticed how yet another new stranger walked into the room. Neptune quickly noticed that the stranger carried a different kind of aura which was clearly visible from the presence Neptune sensed – even though the stranger wore typical men's clothing Neptune had no doubt about it - the stranger was a woman. The shape of her body and face, every step she took told Neptune the truth which anyone else didn't seem to notice. Neptune was sure the tall woman was not from Earth and when having a closer and better look at her clothes as few Earthlings left in front of her and she had a straight view to the entrance close to her, she was sure the blonde woman had come from Uranus. Even though she wore very common kind of men's clothes, Neptune sensed and felt her carrying a very special kind of elegance within her and for Neptune it was also more than obvious to sense it from the very first look on the other woman.

Unconsciously Neptune’s feet had taken her few steps further, now being only five feet away from the entrance of the ballroom and before she even fully noticed where her feet had taken her, her eyes met with more darker, teal ones.

Venus frowned. Serenity was just acting like a child. Of course she knew about love! She was the solider of Love and Beauty after all. She just couldn't fall in love because she had a duty to her princess.

"Serenity, you can't go to Earth it's forbidden ," she said with a firm voice, but then suddenly changed the tone of her voice to a lighter one. "I might make a exception if you tell me why you're dressed like that. "

Guardian Zero pursed his lips, like he always did, at the shine of the Silver Moon Crystal. It was just too much power, nobody should have an empire that extended itself throughout 9 planets. But the bottom of the Cauldron had begun to stir... it wouldn't be long. The Chaos seed had been fished out of the Cauldron not too long ago, and when that happened, he knew the usual battle would ensue and one of the sides would prevail.

He glanced at the Moon Kingdom. Could she not feel that? The Queen, who managed to estabilish her monarchy so well, could not feel the destruction approaching? The Neptune, Pluto and Uranus crystals glittered silently, the Saturn crystal right after them. Perhaps it was for the better... he could not imagine another thousand years of Moon supremacy. By then, they would have not one, but two, perhaps three fully awakened Silver Moon Crystals and he could ever allow that. He would have to wipe them out himself, if that ever happened.

He could feel several Sailor Crystals glimmering that night. Why was the Neptune crystal headed to the Golden Kingdom? The Silver Moon Crystal that had not been awakened yet was hopeful yet melancholic... the same could be said for the Golden Crystal. Ah, it was celebration, he thought. Again, could they not feel it?

Suddenly, Guardian Zero decided to check it out. He rose from his throne at the Sagittarius Zero Star castle. Of course he wasn't going to abandon the Cauldron.

"Sagittarius Zero Star Power! Rise from the depths of the Cauldron, soldier! Protect our place of rebirth!"

From the Cauldron below, a golden crystal rose, and after a flash of light, a golden-armored Sailor senshi appeared before his eyes. Guardian Zero only had a second to react before she raised her right hand and shouted:

"Galactica Inflation!"

"Zero Star Fantastic Judgement!"

Guardian Zero was expecting this. The armored senshi was thrown to the ground after her attack was easily deflected and she took a powerful blow. He tried to keep his attack as weak as possible, since he needed her.

"Arise, Sailor Galaxia! I have not summoned you for battle! It is your duty to protect this space, to obliterate intruders until my return. Disobey me and you will face the consequences."

He turned his back on her before she had even gotten up from the ground, and soon enough he was traveling through space, headed for Earth's atmosphere. Ah, he had to admit that the Golden Kingdom was beautiful, populated with beautiful people. He was also not sure if his clothes were suited for the celebration that was beginning. He was wearing his regular jet-black ensemble, matching his dark hair. The earthlings seemed to be wearing much lighter clothes, but he didn't really care. He carefully watched from a shadow the bearers of the Neptune and Uranus crystals head inside the impressive palace and decided to follow them closely.

"I'm dressed like this because I'm going to a ball silly!" retorted Serenity. The princess quickly reached for the mask atop the small table next to the door. She raised the white lacy mask covered with pearls and diamonds to her face, her bright blue eyes shining through the small holes.

"Okay, so I told you know can I go Venus?" Serenity begged, "Pleaasseeee?"

Venus stood there a for a second. A ball, huh? Seemed like harmless fun and by the looks of Serenity wearing a mask it must mean it's a masquerade.

"Alright, but Jupiter and I are going with you," she said with a smile. "We would like to have some fun to. "

Endymion sighed and gave up on waiting. He couldn't wait out here, in the garden, all by himself while his own party was going on without him. He was being a bad host.

No, Serenity would have to find him when she arrived at the ball. He could wait no longer, or suspicion would arouse among his guests.

He walked up the stairs to the back of the Palace and quietly sneaked into the crowds, blending in seamlessly. He was like a thief at night, silent and invisible, until he presented himself to his guests.

"Welcome, one and all, to the Golden Kingdom's Masquerade Party!"

His black cape billowed as he walked around, almost fanning his regal air in the faces of those he passed. He wore his usual outfit, as it was his sign of Princedom, but added to it were simple black goggles that outlined his eyes, and a red rose on his lapel.

He wasn't sure what had compelled him to put on the rose. Usually floral embellishments were for the women, but he felt it fit him. It fit his passionate nature, and it added to his aura of nobility.

Walking through the crowd he thought of his tardy Moon Princess. Carefully tucked away in his pocket was another red rose with the stem still attached. He had wished to give this to her, as a sign of their being together. A sign that she was his.

But if she didn't show up soon, the rose would wither.

Where are you Serenity?

Luna had been sitting in the room for a while. She must have fallen asleep. She yawned and stretched. She stood, and for a moment nearly lost her balance. That was right she was human, not a cat. She was still getting used to the way her body moved. She heard voice outside. She left the room to find them. The cool marble of the floor felt wonderful on the bottoms of her feet. She soon came on the source of the voices. Jupiter, Venus and Serenity were talking about a ball. A smile crept on to Luna's face. That sounded like so much fun.

"Well if you don't mind." She said coming out from around the corner. "I"d like to go with you." She hadn't been to a ball in a long time and it really did sound like fun. She smiled at the girls. She hadn't left the quiet way of walking as a cat behind her, so she wasn't sure if they had heard her coming. "I am the Princess's guardian too." Luna said trying to find an excuse to go too.

Yue smiled as he swept his niece across the dance floor elegantly, drawing a few surprised eyes from their grace and skill. Or perhaps it was because Nectaris was so young but skilled, especially with that long hair of hers that barely brushed the ground. She seemed to be enjoying herself already, and Yue was glad. It was just a shame his mother and father were not here, he always loved watching them dance. It was always slow, yet it seemed to hold such vibrancy and passion. He smiled as he dipped his niece a little, then brought her back up as she laughed a little at her uncles antics. Suddenly a voice called out a welcome and they turned, along with everyone else. Yue and Nectaris's eyes widened a little. He may be wearing a mask, but neither could mistake the black hair and figure of Endymion. Yue frowned a little, thinking to himself “Endymion here? This universe's anyway. Best I probably try that explaining thing to Nectaris now...” He looked down, opening his mouth then blinked startled. Nectaris was no longer there next to him. How has he missed feeling her hand slip out of his? Panic rose a little in his throat as he swiftly scanned for the unmistakeable pink hair done in buns and pigtails.

Nectaris had stared at the man, mouth falling gently into a little O. Her father was here! Had he decided to come anyway? Of course everyone would recognize him as brother to the king! She smiled happily as she slipped away from her uncle, easily weaving through the crowd of people who barely noticed her. Yue spotted her as she wove and moved after her thinking,”No! She's too close, I won't catch her in time!” and indeed it was so. Nectaris stopped directly in front of Endymion, just a few feet away from him. She curtsied politely as she had always been taught, her cloak floating gently around her, then moved to him and hugged him around the waist.”Papa!” she spoke, red eyes looking up at him joyfully.”You came to the ball! You changed your mind! I’m so happy to see you here, Papa. Will you dance with me now?”

Jupiter only smiled at Venus knowingly. She knew that the senshi of love and beauty wasn't going to pass up a masquerade ball.

"And just where is this ball at?" Jupiter inquired eyeing the moon princess suspiciously.

Serenity smiled at her friends, "On Earth." She thought of her dashing Prince who was waiting for her and her smile widened and her eyes danced with excitement.

The princess then let out a slight gasp of realization, "But you don't have masks! Its a masquerade! You have to wear a mask or you will be recognized!"

Luna suddenly came around the corner. "Fine...Luunnnaaa....you can come too. But you have to wear a disguise too!" Serenity quickly tossed a bright yellow mask in the cat in human form's direction.

"Okay girls, you can all come but you have to promise that you won't tell!" exclaimed Serenity.

"Excellent," said Venus and clapped her hands. "I'll need to change first. People will recognize me in my solider uniform. You should probably change to, Jupiter."

Sailor Venus then left Jupiter, Luna, and Serenity and headed to her room. She grabbed a dress from a closet she usually wore at the balls hosted on the moon. It was yellow ball gown that white crystals on the torso and the twisted throughout the bottom part of the dress. She then found a yellow mask in her closet from a previous masquerade ball that was held on the moon last year. Venus then left her room and returned to the others.

Luna caught the mask that Serenity tossed at her. She smiled. She could feel that this was going to be fun. She had only been to Earth in her cat form any way so she didn't need to change. She walked over to the Princess. She started to act like she was looking over the princess while they waited for the others to change. "So you dashing prince is waiting I assume?" She giggled. She remembered when she and Artemis used to sneak around too, but they were just Guardians, not a princess. "Don't worry I won't tell." Luna smiled and winked at the princess. She then put her index finger to her lips. It was like a promise to Serenity that she wouldn't say a thing.
Just as suddenly Luna giggled. She felt like a school girl, or at least what she thought they felt like. For her it was more like feeling like a kitten again. Helped Serenity get her mask on. "You look beautiful, Princess."

Serenity watched as Venus dashed off to change. She was glad her friends were there to support her.

The young moon princess blushed at Luna's remarks. "Luna," she gently pushed her friend, "I just want to be with him. I hope he hasn't given up hope that I'm coming." She liked confiding in Luna. In these little moments, Serenity was reminded that even though Luna was a cat, her guardian, and sometimes a nagging and annoying pest, she was her close friend, someone to giggle with in the Earthlight and talk about love.

"You look beautiful Princess." Luna's words wetted Serenity's eyes but it was hard to tell behind her mask. She tilted her head slightly, long silver strands of hair fell with it, "Thank you Luna," she said softly.

Jupiter also left the princess to go change. She headed to her room and looked through her closet to find an emerald green dress that was a corset on top with puffed sleeves that flowed out on the bottom. She also snatched up a silver mask and walked back to the princesses room. She hoped that she could meet her knight in shining armor there. She sighed amorously as she met back up with Venus in serenitys room.

"Show us the way!" Jupiter insisted with a wink and a smile.

When Gaia had heard Endymion's voice welcoming the guests, her jaw almost dropped. She hadn't realized just where the ball was. Part of her wanted to go to him and talk with him but her inner voice reminded her that that was not the Endymion she knew, but another one. The one of the universe she was currently in. She did wonder if this meant she might even meet the Moon Princess.

However, before her thoughts could stray too far, she was soon receiving an offer to dance. Remembering that she came here to enjoy herself, she accepted and was smiling at her unknown partner as they twirled about the room with the other dancing guests.

Conri fidgets a little, it's kind of hard to really talk to anyone because, well, everyone was so much older than he is! The dark skinned little boy could only push up his colorful pale yellow mask with white feathers decorating the edges of it, trying not to look as awkward as he felt. Actually, he starts to rethink his decision on being here when he hears the King- well.. his Mama had said that this party was held by a Prince version of their king, but it ..actually confuses him too much to think about it too deeply- began to speak and welcoming everyone to the party. That's when he spies a girl his age there.

Thank goodness! He's not alone here! But..she seems to be talking to the Prince-King..whatever- even as he tries to make himself known to her by eyesight, but finds himself unable to even interrupt them. Besides, it's much better to be patient and wait your turn- that's what his teacher Haruna-sensei said and he's never been wrong.

The golden elaborate mask makes his nose itch, but Darius manages to refrain from scratching it at any point and time. Lucky for him, he just kind of blends in with the background of this ball, only taking a glass of wine from a server that's passing by. Other then that, it has not been very eventful for the king of a future- not like it's parallel to this one. He just knows it's too much of a headache to try and figure it all out. So for now, he leans slightly on the pillar watching others. Gods, how boring. Why couldn't Helios have come along? Or even Diana at the least- heck he'd even suffer through Jareth's seemingly endless pit of energy if only to liven the place up. It reminds him of all the balls he used to skip when he was much younger. Still, nursing his drink, his eyes stray towards several guests that seem vaguely familiar, yet he couldn't really tell due to the masks.

Huh, could've sworn he saw Haruka and Michiru, but that's...? No, he's thinking too much because he's so bored. At least until he heard the familiar sound of his father's voice- though albeit younger in tone. It's something that has him to restrain himself from actually going over to the man- which is probably fortunate as he spies two children gravitating towards that area. A pink haired girl with very familiar hairstyle and a dark green haired boy that seems to be hiding-he guess, he's not even sure what that child is doing- go up to the Prince.

Electing that it's better to not, Darius downs the rest of his wine and sets it on an empty table. Perhaps, he'll find someone to dance with?

Adjusting the black and gold mask with the white diamonds around the eyes- mimicking that of a clown's face, Elation pursues her lips just a little at the palace she knew quite well. At least, from how she remembers it in her own time. It is different, that she does know, and things seem much more...natural- yes that's the word. Not as modern and more like a fairytale of sorts. Idly she wonders if her mask is tacky in a sense that the blue and white feathers that stems from the forehead of the mask, were showcasing the ruby red oval gemstone which is flank by two silver crescent moons pointing outward and a golden right side up crescent moon that hangs beneath it. Not to mention the pearls on the side and the tiny sapphire teardrop under the right eye of the mask.

It probably wasn't the best choice she's made there, but there's really nothing else she can do at this point. So, for the time being, the young queen contemplates on leaving the party. Mostly because she felt...

Shaking her head of such thoughts, Elation glances over at the entrance to study the new arrivals as some gaudily dressed woman that talked far too loudly for her own taste. Still, it's interesting to note that Neptune and Uranus showed up- but then again she could be mistaken...They just looked similar, maybe that was it? Honestly, she has no frame of reference for how most of the outer senshi looked like. Just the inner court and the two Serenitys


Though, she finds the man the enters into the ballroom somewhat interesting. Something different about him..

However she doesn't muse on it too long as she turns her head towards the sound of Endymion's voice. She bites her lower lip a little, they do sound exactly alike. Mamoru and Endymion- at least at this age. She looks down at her hands and wishes she had worn longer gloves..maybe so she could blend in more. Of course that mundane thought was trying to distract her from her real problem- Endymion sounds like Mamoru and, from where she could see, he looks almost exactly the same. The difference is in how he held himself in comparison. But none of that mattered because if she knew any better, she would-should- leave right then and there because it'll probably end the same way.

Endymion will somehow sneak off and find Serenity and to hell with whatever else anyone thinks about it.

It's actually predictable. Then again, she has the benefit of knowing a possible future, unlike most that were there. Shaking her head, she knows she's making this out to be more than it should for herself. After all,she's there to have a good time. Taking a glass of wine, she thinks that two more of these and she'll forget all about those two and everything else.

Would it be improper to take another glass and pretend she's holding it for someone else while drinking it for herself too?

Endymion was utterly speechless. Whilst walking around, greeting his guests, a pink haired girl had rushed to his side, giving him a warm hug.

And called him Papa.

"I.. uh, wait.. uh.. erm.." Endymion's eyes shifted around at the chuckling guests. Some of them laughed it off, obviously seeing that the child was confused, but others laughed nervously. As though they were thinking they didn't know their prince very well..

He couldn't make this into a public scene. He took the little girls hand and gently led her to the side of the room, bending down on one knee to get on her level.

Looking into her eyes, pang of something hit his gut. His eyebrows scrunched together as he looked at the strange little girl. Who is she?

"Sweetie, I'm not quite sure what you talking about, but I think you might be confused. I'm not your Papa. I don't have any children." He scratched his head, his heart hurting at seeing the disappointment on her face. "Sweetie, I'm sorry I'm not your Papa. But, maybe he will end up coming to the ball? How could anyone leave a cutie like you alone in a big place like this?"

Thinking things over. He made a decision. "Why don't you hang out with me till your Papa shows up. Sound good? That way, you don't have to be alone." He smiled encouragingly at her to try and cheer her up. "Would you like to dance?"

Nectaris continued to look up delighted at Endymion. She still couldn't understand why her father had changed his mind about coming to the ball, especially without Mama. Or what she somewhere in the ball? She did love dancing after all. She hardly even noticed the other guests chuckling, though she frowned a little when she saw Endymion's eyes shifting around. She had always been good at seeing emotions in peoples face. Something her father said she had gotten from him.

He was confused and uncomfortable, but why? Why wouldn't he be delighted to see his little daughter, his princess? She felt him take her hand and lead her away from the crowds and crouch down. She could now stare into his deep blue eyes, red meeting blue as she continued to frown. When he spoke, her frown only deepened as she stared at him hard, half expecting him to start laughing and telling her it was a joke. He didn't. She opened her mouth to say something, but he kept talking.

Finally he had asked her to dance. Perhaps it was some sort of riddle game she had to figure out? “Yes, Papa. I would love to dance with you. Can we do our favorite, the Rose Waltz?” she asked, wondering if that was the key. When she was younger, Endymion had shared a secret dance with her. He had explained it was a dance he and her Mama had done in the gardens of earth, before they were able to be married. It was their secret dance, the two then three of them. And they did it every dance, Mama getting the first turn then Nectaris getting hers with her Papa. Surely he would recognize the dance he had come up with.

Meanwhile Yue fretted as he milled as close as he dared. If he tried taking Nectaris away from Endymion, it might lead to awkward questions and trouble. And Nectaris probably wouldn't make it easy either. He let out a sharp breath as he simply blended in, keeping an eye on his niece as she talked with her not exactly father.

She found herself staring into depthless teal eyes and Uranus found it hard to look away. There was something that drew her in and made it impossible to politely turn her eyes in a different direction.

The woman was stunning and Uranus drank in the sight of her. Hair the color of the ocean that fell in soft waves past her shoulders, and eyes like the brightest of jewels. Her dress was just a beautiful, the layers mimicking the waves of the sea and it suited her so well. Everything about this woman spoke of grace and strength, and Uranus found herself more curious than she thought possible.

She took the few steps to close the distance between the two of them, and held out a hand towards the nameless woman. "May I have this dance?" It didn't matter that the current song had already started a few minutes ago. Uranus just wanted to keep this woman close for a little while longer.

The force of this feeling wasn't something that Uranus allowed herself to dwell on as she awaited the beautiful woman's reply.

Neptune couldn’t turn her eyes away when they had already met and sunk into the depths of the tall blonde’s eyes which were like the stormy sky. Her feet were like nailed to the ground after her gaze met with the masked woman and Neptune’s eyes were drinking in the sight of the blonde as she admired her beauty and the aura she carried with her...

The blonde tresses of her hair framed her face like the wind itself had shaped them, her eyes dark like sapphires, having a light, which reminded the morning light, in them and her presence full of strength and freedom made Neptune to want to know everything about the mysterious, teal eyed woman. Even though her clothes were far from a gown, they suited her very well and Neptune could only imagine how stunning the blonde would look wearing clothes which would show her elegance in its entirety.

Standing still Neptune had her eyes on the still unknown woman when she closed the space between them and held out her hand to ask Neptune for the dance. The music had already been played couple minutes but when Neptune heard the deep voice of the other woman, the music fainted completely and she felt like they were standing in an empty ballroom without having other people around them, just having each other with them. Her eyes were glimmering from slight surprise when she heard the blonde's question and found herself gazing into the depths of her gorgeous, deep eyes as she was waiting for Neptune's answer.

A delicate smile was drawn on her lips when she gave the blonde her answer. “Of course” she smiled, gently placing her delicate hand on the taller woman’s palm. Her hand felt so warm and strong against Neptune's less warm hand and fingers and Neptune felt like she could rely on this woman in whatever situation she would ever be in… Something was different and Neptune felt it. Somehow she sensed that she wouldn’t go back to the life she had lived before but she had no idea why she thought so…
