Welcome to the biggest event of the year; the Crystal Palace Masquerade Ball. Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion have invited you to don your best attire and come to enjoy a night of mystery and merriment. This is a masquerade, so masks are a requirement. The dress code is formal wear only. No one will quite know who's who upon entering, but therein lies the fun. It will be like partying with strangers among old friends. Can you figure out who you're talking to? Hope you won't end up gossiping about someone to their own face...

In this event, your masks will be enchanted so that no one will be able to recognize each other through voices and other parts of their appearances like height or hair color. Your objective is to interact with each other and try to figure out who the other participants are, both by interacting with them yourself and watching them interact with other characters. The first person who manages to guess the most identities correctly will get a special prize and winning points.

Rules:

• This is a Casual Roleplay Event.
  
• That means this thread will abide by The GC Roleplaying Section Rules. Please give it a read if you are not a regular roleplayer. Warnings will be given if you break the rules.
  
• You don't need character profiles if you choose to play a canon character. Due to the nature of this event, you can only use otaku characters with existing profiles (so that other people may have a chance to guess who your character is).
  
• Try playing a character you don't usually play, both to challenge yourself and others when they try to guess your character.
  
• There is no minimum word limit for posts.
  
• You may sign up as either otaku (with an approved profile) or canon character (doesn't require a profile).
  
• Canon Sailor Moon characters are claimed on a first come first serve basis.
  
• This is the sign up thread only, the roleplay thread will come a bit later.
  
• You can sign up anytime during the 5th Anniversary Celebration, but the event will close on July 31st, 2016.
  
• Any questions can also be asked here. This will also function as the OOC thread.
  
• When you discover someone's identity, please don't share it with anyone and ruin the fun. Besides, this is a competition; every correct guess you make puts you ahead of others as a potential winner! Of course, the competition bit is completely optional. You can also simply participate and enjoy the RP without trying to play the guessing game. But again, don't ruin it for the others who are playing by spilling the beans.
  
• You can make your list of guesses whenever you like and submit it to me through PM. Please only do this once, so only send when you're sure you've gotten as many as you can and you're as sure as can be. I will not count entries beyond your first. You can only guess if you're also a participant in this event, not merely a spectator.
  

PLEASE READ: Procedure on signing up:

• Please PM me the name of the character you wish to sign up with.
  
• Wait until I approve your choice and assign you with a code name (you may also suggest your own code name if you wish, but try not to make it obvious - for example, "Aphrodite" for Minako will be a dead giveaway).
  
• Once you're given your code name, post said code name in this thread as your official sign up. You will only be posting using this code name in place of your character's name in your RP thread.
  
• As I won't be able to keep a list of claims here, if your desired canon character is taken, I will let you know through PM when you apply.
  
• If you post your actual character name here, they will be disregarded and your claim will not be valid. DO NOT share who you're signing up as with anyone.
