Physical Description (include clothing generally worn):
As a man of Asian descent Jadeite is, as expected, quite short and diminutive. His lithe physique has never done well with physical training; he has always had to rely on his wits instead. What's exceptional about him, however, is his brilliant green eyes and blonde hair - among those of the Empire, it is as if he won a sort of genetic lottery. It makes him desirable and attractive but also outcasted and alienated. While at home, he wears clothing typical for the royalty of the Empire; loose and soft pants in a dark neutral shade accompanied with a silken robe of jade, decorated with golden embellishment. He wears something very similar for formal occasions at the palace, but on most days he can be spotted in a standard navy tunic, dark slacks and a white cape - all of this is trimmed in garnet, the traditional color of the Asian dignitary.

Personality:
The little time he had with his family in his infanthood instilled in him something that would stay with him his entire life: a strict sense of honor and an intense seriousness concerning duty. Named after the rare precious stone variety of Jade, Feicui, Jadeite has always been taught to reflect the quality of the stone within himself. Such qualities include: beauty, grace, virtue, loyalty, purity, sincerity, intelligence and musical ability. Growing up in the palace, many took notice of Jadeite's calm and serious nature. Once he moved to the Elysian Castle, this manner cemented.

Any Unique Abilities/Skills:
As a child, Jadeite was always fascinated by the illusionists that would perform at the Palace and later the Castle as well. He took it upon himself to, as a hobby, figure out their tricks and emulate them himself. By the time he was a preteen, he was extremely talented; he could do it all - gimmicks, objects, cards, misdirection and manipulation. This led the youth to be interested in illusions of other kinds - he would often disguise himself among the people, blending in with the merchants of the castle town.. even posing as them at times. Within the last year, this mild hobby has intensified into a slightly darker.. focus; he has become interested in hypnotism and memory alterations.

History:
In a land with people full of black hair and brown eyes, being born with blonde hair and sparkling green eyes immediately set Jadeite apart. He has always been viewed as something of a prodigy by his people and this pressure shines through his persona. His life began in the grand halls and gardens of the Royal Imperial Palace, and while his memory is vague of these days, he holds them dear to his heart. His mother is a sweet and respectful woman of noble blood; the very picture of sophistication. His father, the Emperor of the United Orient, is a man powerful both in mind and body. Jadeite, however spectacular, was never meant to rule - he has a brother who is a decade older, Yuu, who has been groomed for the throne. Jadeite's relationship with his family is strong and he maintains regular contact with them, despite the vast distance that separates them.

When the young prince was five years old, he was sent to live with Prince Endymion and the representatives of the United Kingdoms. Quickly, he formed a close bond with the slightly-younger prince and is incredibly loyal to him - even beyond logical sense - he would willingly take blame for anything, should it keep the name of his prince in the clear. The two others who were there have always been older, taller and just.. better than him. This led to Jadeite developing something of a jealousy whenever the entire group was gathered. He was sure to be his very best when in front of the gathered royalty; always serious and the picture of perfection, rarely showing emotion in his physicality, action or words.

The breeze ruffled his short blonde hair; it obstructed his view somewhat, but he wasn't bothered to wipe it away. The youth was too caught up in the scene before him: from atop the hill, he could see the Prince and his fellow generals talking, laughing and sparring casually. The boy let out a wistful sigh, which clearly betrayed his jealousy at the whole affair, and went back to his textbook.
