Appearance:

Jadeite is a quite handsome young man with slate blue eyes and short, blond hair which is slightly wavy and parted on the left. His bangs reach down to the eyebrows, so that they cover his forehead and frame his heart-shaped face.
 
When not in disguise, the shortest of the generals wears his Shitennou uniform - a dark grey suit, consisting of dark grey pants and a dark grey jacket with red accents on shoulders, sleeves and fastener. Furthermore, he wears white gloves, black boots and dark earrings.



Other than that, Jadeite also has a formal wear, consisting of a light grey suit with blue accents as well as black boots and earrings.



Personality:
Jadeite often seems like an arrogant person who takes advantage of his quite handsome appearance. However, deep down he is a kindhearted and good friend who would do everything for those dear to him. This shows for example when he is with Endymion: He is very loyal to the Prince and would protect him by all means, even if he would have to sacrifice himself.
This close link is also discernible when he is with the other generals. Even though he often plays pranks on them and loves to jerk around, he deeply cares for them, especially for Nephrite.

Other than the generals and Endymion, Princess Mars was always close to him. Even though he sometimes turned out the charm at other women, his one true love was always Mars and that never changed.
Even after being reincarnated, he still feels an affection towards Sailor Mars, though he doesn't have any memories at all.

Also noteworthy is that Jadeite is a quite lazy character. He doesn't do much unless he's been told otherwise - this, however, is only a strategy, so that others would underestimate him and wouldn't expect too much of him. But actually, he can also be hardworking, disciplined and serious once he sees a reason to do so. This shows when he's doing sports for example: No matter if it's running, horse-riding or even fighting, Jadeite loves to do sports and for this, he also shows some discipline.
Nonetheless it can't be denied that he has a rather short temper and tends to freak out once something isn't going according to plan.

Any Unique Abilities/Skills:
Jadeite is able to disguise himself, so that no one would recognize him. Furthermore, he is pretty athletic and thus agile and fast as well as a womanizer. Under Beryl's control he also has the ability to collect humans' energy and is also able to cause damage with the powers, granted by the Dark Kingdom.
 
History:
Back then in Silver Millennium, Jadeite was a guardian and friend of Endymion with the duty to protect him by all means. Along with Nephrite, Zoisite and Kunzite, he always had a close link to the prince, similar like the Inner Senshi to Usagi. However, this close link vanished when the jealous sorceress, Beryl, brainwashed him with the other knights, telling them to attack the Moon Kingdom. Completely under her control, Endymion's previous guardians did as they were told, attacking the Moon and its inhabitants without guilt or mercy.
Only when Endymion died in the war in order to protect his beloved Serenity, Jadeite and the others felt remorse and sadness, however, accepted that they can't undo it.

Back in the presence, Jadeite and the others were reincarnated, along with Beryl and Metalia. Once again Beryl and Metalia plan to get the Silver Crystal and once again, they have him and the other generals by their side, however, unlike Beryl, they don't have any memories from the past.
Jadeite was the first who was sent into an Eternal Sleep as punishment for failing too often.

However, when the Dark Kingdom was defeated, he and the other Generals were turned into the minerals they had their name from and were in Mamoru's charge ever since.
 
Storyline Specific Information: The Lunar Chronicles: Waxing Gibbous: While Jadeite and the other generals swoon over the Lunarian ladies, Beryl, a sorceress who wants Endymion all to herself, gets manipulated by Metalia, a demon who wants to use Beryl’s weakness to get the legendary Silver Crystal. However, since the sorceress can’t do it all on her own, she eventually brainwashes Endymion’s knights, making them forget about their love to the ladies and their loyalty to Endymion.
 
With reinforcement now by her side, Beryl marches with the Earth's armies at night, with the Shitennou in the front lines, to defeat the Moon Kingdom.

With mixed feelings, Jadeite walked down the dark path, looking at the ground. What would she say today? If she was mad at him? If she would kill him now?
 
Swallowing, he lowered his pace and eventually stopped walking, standing now in front of the tall red-haired woman.
“Beryl-sama,” he started, bowing down in front of his Queen. “How may I help you today?”
 
He looked up, trying to interpret her look. Was she mad? Or maybe good-tempered? Or was it something entirely different?
Impatiently he waited for her answer, his legs already wobbling and his fingers trembling. He knew he couldn’t disappoint her any longer. If she was really going to give him another chance, then he had to use it. He needed to be successful.
 
“I hope you already have a plan, Jadeite,” she started, her eyes full of coldness. “This is your last chance today. Don’t mess it up.”
Relieved he bowed down again, a faint smile on his face. “Yes, Beryl-sama.”
