So i've been reading through the newly released mangas, enjoying the legit translations. however i've noticed something that is bugging me badly...



In the Black Moon arc, King Endymion mentions that Small Lady is 903 years old. and that the average lifespan of a Silver Millinnium native is roughly a thousand years...so does that mean Small Lady will die a physical 14 maybe at 1000?!...probably not but i'd really like to figure out a good explaination for this!

i remember reading a question similar to this..but about Neo Queen Serenity's age. one person theorized that when Small Lady recieved queenship, she'd essentially gain an extra thousand years..but i'm not sure i'm happy with that explaination. anyone got any ideas?

It is hard to say when Chibiusa will die. I feel like she'll live pass 1000 though.

Unless if she's like Aang from Avatar. He died at an early age because since he was frozen for a hundred years it finally caught up to him.

Can you please specify in the title of this post whether it is a Theory or Debate? I.e. Theory: Chibiusa's Age? or Debate: Chibiusa's Age?.

Yamichan: yeah but Chibiusa isn't frozen like Aang was exactly..she's moving around and doing stuff. it's just her physical growth is stopped. Aaang was frozen in ice to survive. though it would suck if Chibiusa died young...

I thought there was some question on her since she is essentially the first of "her kind" so to speak...

I was always under the impression that this age range applied to the civilians of Neo Crystal Tokyo. The Senshi and Royal family are so different from normal people to begin with; and Neo Queen Serenity, King Endymion and Chibi Usa are very different from even the Senshi because they have the Silver, Golden and Pink Crystal living inside of them. All of that energy and power - I would think it would almost make them immortal.

exact quote from page 158, volume 4 and King Endymion. so..i don't think there's any special class. they all have roughly 1000 years of life.

The problem I have with the Black Moon Clan arc and this continuity error is the fact that I don't think Naoko expected to keep writing sailor moon past this. Later in the manga, i think she ignores some rules she set up initially and also it was never noted that Endymion had the golden crystal at all.

I can imagine NQS and Chibi-Usa being able to be almost immortal. I mean, look at how powerful Sailor Moon was at the end of the manga.

Also still...1000 years is a long time for Chibi-Usa to live. It just sucks that her first 900 had to be as a child. Also, I always never understood how even though her body was a child, that her mind didn't develop into an adult. Just because her growth was stunted shouldn't mean she had the mind of a 6 year old either... That never made any sense to me. :/

I've always assumed that the 1000 year lifespan only applied to the CITIZENS, not the royal family. It's implied that Queen Serenity, Neo-Queen Serenity's past mother, is much older than 1000 years old. The same can be true for her descendants!

true..but Usagi and Chibiusa arn't truely related to Serenity anymore. that bloodline ended when they got sent to the future...the soul carried over,not the blood.

Whenever I think of Chibi-Usa's age, I prefer to cling to the "They live 1000 years; she stopped physically aging at 6; therefore, once she starts aging again, she's still got 994 years to go! XD"

Yeah Usagi is Usagi.

I do find it odd that Chibiusa stopped aging. Does it explain why? I don't remember. I think in the anime they got rid of the that plot point.

Well, they're still RELATED, but just not in a blood sense.

And I've always thought that the Silver Crystal would expand the lifetime of its holder indefinitely. Maybe not even JUST its wielder, but those closest to it.

kinda like how it protected people near Usagi from Asapu's evilness and tampering in Sm: Another Story?

though i kinda like Uranus's explaination...hehehe

Yamichan: actually it never does. in the manga, Endymion talks about how they don't know why she can't grow up, and that there's a lot of stuff they don't understand about her, because she's like a mix.
