| Here's mine... tentatively. I know I'm probably forgetting some completed stuff that I love but haven't read for a while. Here they are, roughly in order:
- Sailor Moon (of course!)
- Haikyuu!!
- Yu Yu Hakusho
- Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
- Skip Beat
- Death Note
- Nekota no Koto ga Ki ni Natte Shikatanai (please read this. please.)
- Kimi ni Todoke
- Love so Life
- Gakuen Alice
I'd say it's overall pretty accurate to my taste. Lots of shoujo, but not only shoujo. The only thing missing is oneshots which make up like 70% of the manga I read. |

I've also read so many manga online and I didn't keep track. oops, it's getting hard to remember some of the ones. Or I've watched their anime counterpart but not the manga ooor I never finished it. xD I'm considering adding Skip Beat and Kodocha to my list but I don't wanna add them in case I remember other manga too. haha |

| I don't think I have actually ever read 10 different manga series to the end. A lot of the stuff I own is either doujinshi or 4-koma...or the first two volumes of something. These are in no particular order: 1. Star Style Fantasy Romsen Saga (JP) - This one is the absolute lulz if you like comedy involving fantasy worlds, Square Enix, and video games; I own the entire series, but I've been reading the fan-translation because the translators' choice of dialogue and character vernacular is A+++. It also means that I don't have to look up a million words while I'm reading lololol.2. Read or Die - I wish this series was longer. I really enjoyed it! 3. Elemental Gelade - I own and have read all of the volumes that were released in the US. I love this series a lot, and I wish that the whole manga had been translated! T_T 4. Megaman NT Warrior - Okay, I loved this one as a kid! Not sure if it aged well. I will have to reread it and find out! lol 5. Vampire Game - I also loved this one as a kid. I thought Lady Ishtar was so friggin' cool. XD I might reread this one to decide if I want to keep it or give it away. 6. Tales of Symphonia (JP) - Okay the art in this one was absolutely gorgeous, and the bonus volume of character BG stories was so hghhhh! The feelz... I read it in high school while I was taking a Japanese course online. xD I might have to take it off the shelf again to admire. 7. Solar Boy Django - Based on the Boktai games by Hideo Kojima. This manga was released in English in Singapore? Idk, but I remember enjoying it, as weird as some of the character designs were compared to those in the games. XD I would put Sailor Moon but I haven't taken any of the volumes out of their shrink wrap XD;;;;~~~~~~~~~~ I have also tried to read the following series: x Rozen Maiden - I read the first two volumes but I couldn't get into it. x DiGi Charat - I bought this one as a kid, never read it, tried reading it as an adult and couldn't get through it. lmao x Rosario + Vampire - I read the first 5 volumes and thought it was alright. I probably would read more of this if I had the motivation to do so. XD |

| I've read far more manga than I've watched anime, but it's surprisingly difficult to come up with a list of 10. So instead of top 10, here's my top 5 (sans Sailor Moon, cus that's kinda obvious, I guess). XD;;
1) The Ancient Magus' Bride: I started reading this for the slice-of-life/folklore aspect of the story but quickly got sucked in by the well written character development. The artist put a lot of research into her work, and I would highly recommend it, though things do get pretty grim dark at times.
2) Emma - A Victorian Romance: I love Emma (which is unrelated to the Jane Austen novel, btw) because not only are its Victorian settings beautifully researched and recreated, but its central characters are so endearing that I just love them and their relationship to pieces.
3) Houshin Engi: This shounen series was serialized in the late 90's, early 2000's, and has some weird as heck designs in terms of character and setting design (i.e. kitschy sci-fi in a story set in ancient China...plus characters wearing giant clown shoes), but if one looks past the wacky artistic choices, the story and characters are exceptionally well written, which is really a feat, given its ginormous cast. There are two animes for this but I would highly recommend the manga over the animes.
4) A Bride's Story: an on-going series by the same artist who created Emma, the story is set in Central Asia around the turn of the last century, and the artist went to amazing length in her research and artwork to depict that time and place in all its glory. The story can be kinda slow depending on your taste, but if you're looking for a well researched, well drawn historical slice of life story you can't look further than this.
5) Netoju no Susume (Recovery of an MMO Junkie): Some of you might've heard about the anime from last year, as well as some of the controversy surrounding the anime's director. While I harbor complicated feelings about the anime's controversy, I will say that I really enjoyed the manga, which is an online web comic published by Comico (it's sadly been on hiatus since 2015 due to the artist's health). As a non-gamer, I thought I wouldn't related to the main character, but her struggles as a 30 year old are so relatable that I couldn't help but want to root for her. :< |

| I had a really hard time trying to work my way through this! XD These are not really in a particular order.
1. Paradise Kiss by Ai Yazawa (I love reading this series and sobbing at the end. I feel like the characterization is really well-done, and the art has so much detail.) 2. Clover by CLAMP (This series is stylistic and solemn. I adore it. I can't even fully explain why.) 3. Chobits by CLAMP (Adorable and sweet, with such a beautiful art direction with all those nose-less people and robots.) 4. Card Captor Sakura by CLAMP (No explanation needed.) 5. Hot Gimmick by Miki Aihara (It's a trashy teenage romance novel in manga form. I usually don't read those, but I love this one for some reason unknown to me.) |

| I haven't read much manga yet 'cause I prefer buying them rather than reading online XD Anyways here's my top.
1. Sailor V : I really enjoyed it even if it was only two volumes long. I like reading the books all over again just because I like it so much ^^ 2. InuYasha : One of my favorites for sure. I really enjoy reading this because the art is so well detailed and the story for some chapters is different than the anime. 3. Fullmetal Alchemist : Just started it but already hooked! I love the author's side notes and the extras at the ends of the volumes XD 4. Sailor Moon : I liked it but the story was waaaaay too fast-paced for me. There's not much character development in its chapters, only the main plot. |

| I've read so many.. I have no idea! but oh well, I'll try.
1. Sailor Moon/Sailor V (obviously) 2. Utena Revolutionary Girl (Honestly, just as important to my formative years as Sailor Moon) 3. Planet Ladder (It's a weird little series but it was very interesting.) 4. Magic Knights Rayearth (My friend gave me both boxsets and I loved them) 5. Card Captors (does this need to be explained?) 6. Inuyasha (I loved both manga and anime. ) 7. X-Day (Honestly, this helped me as a teen in high school) 8. Fake! (NY Detectives in a romcom together? Shounen-ai stuff. I loved it. It was great.) 9. Tokyo Ghoul: Re. (I got impatient waiting on the anime to catch up.) 10. Animal X (weirdly, yes I read it ages ago but it's left an impression. not even sure how to classify it.)
there's more, but ah..well, top ten. For the moment. |
