Advanced Character Profile

Character Name: Asuka Higashi (From Japanese 明日 (asu) meaning "tomorrow" and 香 (ka) meaning "fragrance", full meaning "fragrance of tomorrow")

Gender: Female

Age and Date of Birth: 16, January 21st

Used Canons: Moonless Sky Event

Appearance: Overall, Asuka looks like someone with nothing but kindness in her heart. Her long, caramel-colored hair has streaks of gold running through it, and it falls in gentle waves to the small of her back. Her eyes are a dark, gentle blue, and are accented by her long lashes. Her skin is a neutral shade -  not tan, but also not pale. She is rather thin, due to her lack of a balanced, healthy diet, and she doesn't have very much muscle mass. Her lips are full, and she has permanent dimples from always smiling. She is average in height, standing at about 5'7", and she only weighs about 140 lbs. She dresses for comfort, but always tries to look presentable and approachable. Her smile is gentle, and her voice has a reputation for putting others at ease. She just has a natural affinity for comfort, from her overall appearance to just the sound of her voice.

Personality: There is not a mean bone in Asuka's body. She is the silent provider, the consistent comforter, and the stable friend. Her head is always level, and you will never find her panicking in any situation. When she finds herself in a tough situation, she usually focuses on comforting those around her, and not on the situation itself. She handles her emotions in silence, whether it be anger, sorrow, or even joy. However, you can always see how she feels just by the look in her eyes. She devotes her life to helping others, and she believes that is her purpose. Asuka is entirely selfless, and wouldn't hesitate to save someone else at the risk of her own life. Not only does Asuka's presence alone offer great comfort to those around her, but the wisdom and truth behind her words does, as well. She just has a knack for always knowing the right words to say, whether or not she has experience in the specific situation or not. She is the go-to source of advice and comfort to all who know her. She is extremely empathetic to all forms of life, whether it be a human or a flower. She hates what has happened to the world she lives in, and her dream is to see the world thrive and blossom as she feels it is meant to. She is a hopeful person who believes in miracles, and often this trait is what pushes her to continue on, despite the deteriorating conditions in the world around her. She is a wonderful storyteller, especially when it comes to telling stories of Earth's magical history.

Any Unique Abilities/Skills: For some unknown reason, Asuka always smells good. She gives the best hugs, and her body is always warm. She also has a decent amount of medical experience, but it is all self-taught, and not as efficient as medical care given my a professional.

History: Asuka was born and raised in the outskirts of Iron Tokyo, protected by the confines of its walls and its government. She was her parents' first and last child - the daughter of a revolutionary and a believer. Her father taught her kindness and generosity, while her mother taught her loyalty and bravery.

Growing up, Asuka's mother instilled in her a desire for justice and honor. Nothing was ever sugar-coated in their household, and Asuka was taught right from wrong from the get-go. Her mother was an active member of a small-scale rebellious group within southern Iron Tokyo, while her father served as an educator for the local children. When Asuka was seven, her mother left their small, humble home for what would be the last time. Asuka never forgot that last hug, that last kiss on the forehead, or the last gunshot that rang through the streets.

Following the death of her mother, Asuka became full of anger and hatred for her government and the people who served it. She channeled her anger into all she did: picking fights with the neighborhood boys, stealing food from local vendors, and treating her elders with utmost disrespect. She hated everyone and everything for what happened to her mother. No one knew of the way Asuka sobbed into her pillowcase each night - not until her father witnessed the occurrence on a cold December night. Overwhelmed with grief for his heartbroken child, Asuka's father enveloped her into an embrace she would never forget, and whispered words into her ear that would never fade from her conscience.

The two of them became inseparable after that day, and Asuka learned how to channel her anger into something good instead of something that only added fuel to her fire. He instilled in her a lifelong desire to help others and to fight the government peacefully. She no longer wanted to hurt those who had hurt her, but rather to help them find the light that had been missing from Iron Tokyo for so long. If it hadn't been for her father, and his boundless faith in humanity, Asuka never would have found that light, either.

When Asuka turned thirteen, her father grew ill, and it became her responsibility to take care of him and their home. Finding a job was virtually impossible in Asuka's part of Iron Tokyo, so she created one: she became a caregiver. Not just for the sick and the elderly, but also for children. In no time at all, Asuka's natural calming, comforting nature became popular throughout the southern edge of Iron Tokyo. Her days were spent tending to the sick, playing with children and helping with schoolwork, and offering comfort and advice to the grief-stricken, struggling people of Iron Tokyo. Just her presence and her manner helped people to feel better and to go in peace.

With each passing day, her work became harder and harder as the government became more powerful, brutal, and unforgiving. By the time Asuka turned sixteen, it seemed like Iron Tokyo was soon going to meet its end.

Other Noteworthy Facts: N/A

Storyline Specific Information:
Hardcore Event: Moonless Sky - Existing after the fall of Crystal Tokyo, Iron Tokyo is one of the few remaining metropolises in a world ravaged by nuclear war. The government is brutal and unforgiving, and treats its citizens with the utmost injustice. Asuka was born and raised in Iron Tokyo, where she has witnessed the cruelties of the world around her and fought to be a light in the darkness. Just after she is awoken as a faux-senshi, the eastern gate protecting Iron Tokyo is breached, and rumors of spaceships and monsters begin to circulate throughout Iron Tokyo. Together with the other awakened sailor soldiers, Asuka must find a way to save her city, and kickstart the journey towards a better future for them all.

Senshi Information

Senshi Name: Sailor Piazzi

Realm(s) of Influence: Aromatic pheromones

Henshin/Transformation Phrase: Piazzi Matrix, Activate!

Senshi Fuku:

Powers:
Dispella - A colored spray of dispels out of Piazzi's fingertips, and the color depends on which effect Piazzi chooses to inflict. As long as the particles touch her target, the effects are inevitable:

  • Yellow - Paralysis
  • Red - Pain
  • Blue - Sleep
  • Purple - Poision
  • Pink - Infatuation
  • White - Healing/Calming

Fear of Ceres - As long as Piazzi is calm, she can perform this offensive attack. By spinning her Ceres Blades faster and faster, Piazzi can unleash a highly unavoidable barrage of sword-attacks on her target. In the presence of many small enemies, this attack can deal damage to more than one foe.

Weapons or Magical Items:
Tranformation Item - This pager-like device is soft pink in color and fits in a normal pocket. By pressing the large button on the side, Asuka can transform into Sailor Piazzi.
Ceres Ring - This golden-banded ring has a large, beautiful rose-pink stone embedded into it and carved into the shape of a perfect circle. This ring resonates with Piazzi's transformation item during her transformation.
Ceres Dual Blades - These blades are forged of razor-sharp diamond - strong enough to cut through anything without being tarnished themselves. They are long and elegant, and can appear at Piazzi's will. They are light and comfortable in her hands alone - to any other, they would be heavy and practically useless.

Guardian: L.U.N.A. is a guide, but not a guardian.

RP Sample: Eager for a decent night's rest after a long day of tending to the sorrows of her destitute people, Asuka made her way silently through the streets of southern Iron Tokyo. Her heart was heavy with the tears that had been shed that day - not by her, but by those she had visited. She would never cease to feel the heartbreaks of each subsequent visit.

Taking a deep breath of polluted air, Asuka cast her eyes to the skies. She searched desperately for a star to poke through the haze of pollution in the atmosphere, and to her surprise and joy, she found one. It was the most beautiful star she had ever seen - burning brightly and ceaselessly in a sky so full of darkness. She stopped walking, too entranced by the star with the faint pink glow around it. She had never seen a star of that color or intensity - as far as she knew, stars of this kind had never existed.

Her eyes widened when she realized that the star wasn't really as intense as she had thought - it was getting closer. She gasped, knowing that she needed to move, to run, but her feet unable to take the steps. It came closer and closer, getting smaller and smaller as it neared. She tried to move, to get somewhere safe before the object could hit her, but she couldn't. Something tugged at her heart, telling her to stay, and that this was something that her life could not live without.

The pink star shot itself straight into Asuka's heart, and it was the loveliest feeling she had ever had.

From that moment onward, Asuka was certain that she had caught the illness that had ailed her father over the last year. She didn't know how or why, but whatever had entered her body that night had made her sicker than she had ever been. She couldn't focus, could hardly get herself out of bed in the mornings. She wanted to be there for her people, and for her father, but she was hardly there to begin with. Her nights were sleepless and full of dreams she didn't understand - dreams where she fought enemies and actually made a difference in the world.

In her area of Iron Tokyo, it didn't take long for the rumors of a breach in Iron Tokyo's gates to reach Asuka. She feared for the lives of her people, but she couldn't help but wonder if the mysterious star and the sudden breach didn't have some sort of significance. All of these things happening at once couldn't be coincidental, could they? Unfortunately for Asuka, she didn't have much time to ponder. The very day after the breach, her father became completely incapacitated, and it was all Asuka could to to rush him to the Iron Tokyo General Hospital in time for his life to be saved.

In the waiting room, Asuka sat in silence as her heart roared in her ears. She had lost her mother - she couldn't lose her father too. Not after everything they had been through, and everything he had done for her. How could she continue to do all that she had been doing without a father to come home to? Sometimes, having him with her was all Asuka needed to keep going.

This is where her story truly begins.
