Do you RP anything besides Sailor Moon?
I did do an assigned character for another Casual Event here to boost my activities for the Anniversary that year but typically I have no interest in non-SM plots or even anything that is very AU tbh...
How long have you been RPing?
Wow I guess it's been almost exactly one year!
What is your favorite thing about RPing? Why is it something you love to do?
I love how much focus it takes to stay in character - to keep in mind all the little elements from the other players and host that are going on around you and the bits and pieces in the scene that inspire you - bringing all of that into focus through your *character*'s eyes instead of yours is a fun challenge.
I feel like not having to be the sole author of the story really frees you up to delve deep into the character like that, and I find it much more motivating to work with others than just by myself on a fic! The sheer writing practice feels great, too of course. (There are just too many reasons to love RP, actually...XD)
Who is/are your favorite character(s) to RP, Sailor Moon or otherwise?
So far I've only tried a few, but I was surprised at how much I loved playing Usagi recently! I think I need more experience to say I have a favourite, though.
What types of stories do you love best? Any specific genre?
I like action-oriented stories best. It doesn't have to be a battle, but I like it when there's some excitement and physical movement. Maybe it's just because I'm new to the experience. Like an eager puppy, I wanna move my legs around a bit, y'know? XD As for genres, again I feel like I need more experience to have a favourite to RP~.
What was the first RP or RP Event that you took part in on GC and what was your favorite part about it?
It started with the casual event To Rise Again, which has turned into my first ever normal RP experience as well! My favourite part was/is probably the potential in the storyline idea. It's AU, but it's not a huge departure from the original plot. My favourite moment was definitely interacting 1x1 with another character for the first time. It was thrilling!
What's your favorite part of RPing on GC?
Everyone's so friendly and supportive! It really makes me want to try my best ^^!
Do you have any tips/tricks for people who might want to start RPing but are intimidated because they don't feel their writing isn't good enough or don't know where to start?
Well, common wisdom here is to do as I did and get your feet wet through a Casual Event. But, I think joining through the RP/Writing Guild challenges/games is an equally great avenue! Getting used to having your writing out there to be read by others is key to being comfortable in RPing and the Guild also generates a great feeling of community and support.
But I wouldn't say just to write anything for the sake of it. You should always try to write because you are inspired to. I think it brings out the best work. So, that Guild Challenge prompt, original storyline, or character profile you've been thinking about doing day and night for a week? Plug your nose and dive in! Big or small, you'll have fun and that's what it's about ^-^.
Fondest memory in your entire RPing history?
Making Verdi/Saturn sad about a glass of champagne XD. I'm pretty proud of that excerpt and sharing the joy of the writing muse with her over it afterwards was just awesome. I think it was that moment when I was like "okay, this is habit-forming." lol! Do you have any questions for Diagnosed our Featured Roleplayer of April? Ask her here!  |

I could probably try my hand at some characters from Ace Attorney. It's my more recent second love to SM and I spent a lot of time on the fan wiki so I'd feel comfortable enough I think... STOP MAKING MY EYES SPARKLE, DANGIT! This is actually a really tough question... - ...but here's a super long answer XD:
A few certainties (other than action hehe):
- Canon characters only (with exception for new MOTDs)...
- I would end up being one of the Senshi
- There would be a major battle scene but it might not end the conflict - someone might have to go stealth mode afterwards in an unexpected (and literal) window of opportunity to set things right.
- Romance definitely would play a part though probably not a major part (unless I'm Usagi) and it would probably end up being an unrequited type hnnnng.
- I would love Saturn's Glaive to be involved somehow (because EP!C) and playing along a skilled Saturn RPer would be absolutely fascinating for me, whether she's there for the whole storyline or just a key part.
- The OOC board would be full of chatter
Less certain:
- There's so many SM settings I'd love to explore it's hard to pinpoint one as my dream RP... (Obviously, the answer must be time travel related then XD... Wait, that'd be pretty fab, actually :0.)
- Length is hard because if it's a nice beefy plot with a few neat little subplots it's gonna be loooong but I wouldn't want it to wear me or other players out and end up being abandoned ;_;.
Overall, I'd want to come out a better player and writer than when I went in. Ideally, after the RP finishes, I would never be surprised by any little thing the character I played does when re-watching/re-reading canon. It would fill my tank for five years so that I can take a hiatus for real life and not feel like I need to escape every other day. Is that even possible? I'm starting to get the feeling it would just suck me in more XD.

Just one? ^^; I got a brief taste of Minako during my Speed Date with Brit.
