- An unknown Darkness has come and has been slowly consuming worlds across the universe. Along with the impending Darkness come the Heartless, shadowy creatures from an unknown dimension that do the Darkness's bidding. Their goal is to find the Ten Pure of Heart and use their hearts to open the Final Door to Kingdom Hearts, which will enable Darkness to take over all the universe.
Four of the Ten have already been captured: Princess Setsuna of the Caverns of Charon; Princess Michiru of Triton's Bay; Princess Haruka of Miranda, the Winged Isle; and Princess Hotaru of the Sleeping Wastes.
As for the remaining Six Pure of Heart, they've been having strange dreams. A voice has been calling them in their dreams, telling them to choose. In a hallowed room, before each dreamer are a Shield, Sword, and Rod. They are left to choose which they will be: a warrior, guardian, or mystic.
“As the weapon of the warrior, the Dream Sword focuses on strength and avoids defense, and if [the Wielder] chooses it, they will learn their offensive abilities at lower levels.”
“As the weapon of the guardian, the Dream Shield focuses on defense and avoids strength, and if [the Wielder] chooses it, they will learn their defensive abilities at lower levels.”
“As the weapon of the mystic, the Dream Rod focuses on MP and avoids AP, and if [the Wielder] chooses it, they will learn their magical abilities at lower levels.”
The Six each make their choices: – Rei, Makoto, and Minako choose to be Warriors – Ami and Mamoru choose to be Guardians – Usagi chooses to be a Mystic
The day after their dreams, large dark clouds come over their homeworlds and a terrible storm strikes during the night. The Six awake and find their homes flooded with Heartless. Weaponless, they have no choice but to flee. They each find a portal and the voice they had heard in their dreams urges them to go through.
We join our heroes as they awaken in a foreign world called Traverse Town. History Golden Elysion was his home. He was their Prince, and loved his world and his friends. When the dream asked him to choose, he chose Guardian, as it was not only his duty and responsibility to protect them, but his honest wish to keep them safe from harm. The storm that night was so strong that the rose gardens surrounding the palace were being stripped of their leaves, their flowers, and torn from the ground. He was awakened by his dream, but if not for that it would have been by his friends and guardians - the "Shitennou". They pulled him from his bed amidst the destruction and chaos raging around the golden palace and tried to keep him safe, protecting him from the strange creatures that came from the shadows themselves as he struggled to wake up. When a portal appeared, Nephrite threw him in, then turned to combat a larger creature as it rushed them.
The portal closed on his world, and from that moment forward, he remembered nothing of his past.
He woke in Traverse Town alone, hurting and confused, then (bullet point story summary ftw:) *Wandered around in District 1, then 2 *Heartless attacked a dude *He steps in to protect them, despite having no weapon *A voice tells him to accept the Light *A Keyblade appears, and he accepts it to combat the Heartless *The Heartless is defeated *Two people descend on him, identifying themselves as Motoki and Naru. *Lead him to someplace safe - the Hotel - with promises to tell him what they know is going on *Explain they're from another world, just like him, and they know about the Keyblade *Introduce him to their leader, Umino, who *Knows what the Keyblade is *Knows what they Keyblade can do *Does not know how to lock Traverse Town *Does not know how to leave Traverse Town for the other worlds *Will continue to investigate to find out! *They form a group together to fight back against the Heartless and keep Traverse Town safe!*Days pass, he learns his way around and fights the Heartless that appear *Does odd-jobs for the people living there *ex: returning dalmatian puppies to their house after they inevitably escape*Stars go out, one by one, and new people arrive *Heartless come to steal their hearts *The Traverse Town Protectors arrive to help! *They defeat the Heartless, Mamoru's Keyblade a huge factor in their wins, and save new arrivals! *Asanuma is one of the new arrivals *Asanuma admires Mamoru so much that he becomes part of the Traverse Town Protectors *Unlike Mamoru, all new arrivals can remember everything about their past and where they came from. *They can remember the night of the storms that destroyed their worlds. *While Mamoru can't, he focuses on the future as much as he can, rather than the past. *This would be easier if there was a clear way forward. *...And even easier if Aino Minako, another Keyblade wielder, would talk to him. *When she arrived at Traverse Town she immediately intervened when the Heartless attacked but elected to remain tight lipped when questioned about the Keyblade *She did not openly join their Traverse Town Protector group. *She acted like she hated him (him, Mamoru, in particular) from the get-go. *Umino does not believe there's supposed to be animosity between wielders, but ??? *She shows up when Heartless attack though, so she's dependable. *Even if she looks at him suspiciously all the time.*Weeks pass, nothing changes..... until he met her.Additional Information Mamoru's Class: GuardianMamoru's Keyblade: Enigmatic RoseMamoru's Magic Strengths: While he can cast all recurring magic, he has an affinity for Reflect or GravityRP Sample: - As the Keyblade Strikes wrote:
The stars shone brightly in this city without a daytime sky. His gaze loosened as he breathed slowly in, then out, feeling the cool breeze and just existing, letting go of everything but the mental hand that held the sea of questions at bay. He had an idea of what he was supposed to be doing, just not how to accomplish those goals, and while he was confident that patience would win out, he couldn't help the small, anxious voice that nagged at him that he could be doing something more. But then he was doing something more. His breath caught, eyes coming into focus at a newly darkened patch of sky, and he stood, carefully keeping his balance on the rooftop's edge, searching that region to reaffirm his observation.
Another star had gone out.
He swallowed, his dominant gloved hand twitching once, his mind changing gears, glancing over towards District 1, where any new arrivals would be appearing. They'd need help, or an explanation at the very least. He'd tell --
A scream tore through the quiet streets and he jerked into a ready position, the scream sudden and somewhere beneath him. He sidestepped around to see better, jumping up to the taller rooftop beside, rushing forward to look over the edge just in time to see a girl with long blonde pigtails running away from the building with an armload of Heartless chasing her. So many?! He dashed after, shadowing her on the rooftop, considering his options, and with a twitch he opened his hand and called out with his heart and his Keyblade appeared. He gripped it tightly, confidently, and --
She turned towards a dead-end.
New strategy.
Two of the Heartless melted and phased towards her and she screamed again. She dodged just as he launched himself off the rooftop, flipping once to get his feet in position to kick off of the dead-end wall and, Keyblade ready, sliced at one of the Heartless pair as he hit the ground and rolled off the momentum. He spun up to his feet between the girl and the small hoarde, holding Enigmatic Rose before him in a defensive stance, his gaze sweeping back and forth over them to prepare a counter for their next strike.
Someone else should be coming soon - a scream that loud wouldn't be ignored - but, worst case scenario, he could distract them and lead them away. No matter what this girl did to deserve the attention of so many, the prospect of a Keyblade wielder should trump it. They'd follow him, she'd get to safety. The Hotel wasn't that far away.

- Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles:
Advanced Character Profile Character Name: Mamoru Chiba in the role of Syaoran LiGender: MaleAge and Date of Birth: August 3; ~15 Used Canons:Sailor Moon (manga); Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle - Syaoran Li Appearance: Mamoru is a tall young man, standing somewhere between five and six feet in height - for now, anyway, as his gangling limbs and somewhat bony shoulders suggest a growth spurt is just around the corner for the lithesome teen. He has a slim build and a lean figure, with some muscle definition in his typically-exposed biceps - he usually opts to wear a black sleeveless turtleneck shirt when working on site. He has olive skin and black, face-length hair that usually ends up windblown and piecey; if not for the sand-goggles he usually either wears or sits on the crown of his head, his hair may cause him issues in the day-to-day business of being an archaeologist. He has piercing blue eyes, dark like the ocean depths, that seem to see straight through people when he meets their gaze. His long-fingered hands, calloused with brush and pick use, are nonetheless adroit at delicate tasks; he often carries gloves to protect them from the cold, windy nights out in the desert of the Moon Kingdom. The rest of his normal attire is basic - black work boots, waterproofed, adequately soled, and well worn in from crouching on the job, and a loose fitting pair of either light grey, tan brown, or dark green pants. When his adoptive father died, Mamoru choose to take his overlarge, well worn (to the point of earing at some of the edges) hooded cloak.- Reference images:
Personality: Known for his kind nature and calm determination, Mamoru's dependability is a feature upon which many people rely, both friends like Usagi and workers at the site. Having raised himself for the past three years, he is responsible and independent, able to take care of his own needs and able to take on the needs of others if necessary, and is resourceful and adaptable in problem solving, having a high intelligence with a knack for logical thinking. He is patient, both with himself, with his task, and with others, understanding that everyone needs to take their time when making decisions or learning something new. He can keep a secret - he often keeps his own thoughts and feelings a secret - and is trustworthy, though not many have tested him on it.
In fact, his somewhat quiet and reserved nature, combined with his confidence and knack for success, has made him somewhat of an outcast; he did not have a lot of experience in making or keeping friends as a child - other than Princess Usagi - and so can come off as aloof or withdrawn to the others on the dig - some even suggesting that he considered himself better than they were for things coming so naturally, creating a larger rift and less opportunities for bonding. As such, his only true friend has only ever been his deceased father and the Princess.
In addition, growing up with Fujitaka as an adoptive father, Mamoru idolized the calm, confident man, and often tried to hide or suppress his feelings as a child so he could be more like his father, so he is somewhat withdrawn and inhibited with his emotions.

Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Martial arts History: At age 6, a young boy was found aimlessly wandering the streets of a small city by a traveling archaeologist, Fujitaka. Upon discovering the young boy had no memory of his past and was unrecognized by the people of that city, Fujitaka adopted him as his own son and named him Mamoru. The two traveled to many countries for excavation work, all the while Mamoru learned different live-languages, found his own love of archaeology that compliments his fathers - leading to an extensive knowledge of various dead languages and histories beyond what a child his age should know - and learned martial arts in order to protect himself,. Eventually their travels led to Moon Kingdom - Fujitaka's ultimate archaeological goal - wherein Mamoru met Princess Usagi.
Despite his somewhat mysterious past, Princess Usagi took an immediate interest in him, and her open, kind, and enthusiastic personality drew him to her and she quickly became the person Mamoru most cherished in life.
Time passed, and he and his father moved on to different countries while the excavation continued in Moon Kingdom; while Fujitaka would have preferred never to leave, his assistance was requested elsewhere, and as digging deeper was the next thing in the excavation of the mysterious Wing monoliths he was, for the moment, not needed in Moon Kingdom. They returned frequently to check on the progress - with Princess Usagi and Mamoru finding time to spend together - but when Mamoru was fifteen, he returned to Moon Kingdom alone, his father having passed away far too young. Mamoru elected to remain in Moon Kingdom to oversee the excavation of the Crescent Wing Ruins, his father's greatest archaeological interest, but despite being in Moon Kingdom, he and Usagi did not see each other as often as either would have liked, as he lived and spent most of his time at the excavation site rather than his modest home within the city.
It was on a return to the city for supplies when events started to take an abrupt turn, after a day with Princess Usagi he would rather not have ended...Other Noteworthy Facts: Advanced knowledge of different languages (alive and dead) and histories of various cultures found in the world that the Moon Kingdom occupies. - Our story begins with two childhood friends with a strong relationship: Endymion* (Mamoru?), a young archaeologist who is investigating a ruin within the Kingdom of the Moon, and Serenity* (Usagi?), a princess of the Kingdom of the Moon and daughter of the late queen Serenity. When Serenity* visits Endymion* in the ruins, an odd earthquake rocks the world around them and Serenity's* spirit takes the form of a pair of ghostly feathered wings (*wings are made of actual soft feathers, but each has its own unique colored crystalline pattern) that disintegrate to other dimensions. As she descends into a catatonic near-death state, Endymion* meets the Dimensional Witch, Setsuna Meioh, to whom he begs for help to save Serenity*.
Setsuna is also visited by two others who each have their own wish: Rei, a warrior* who wishes to return to her* home world after being banished from her world by Prince(ss) ???* to allow her to learn what true strength is; and Minako a magician* who wishes never to return to her* home world, ??? to avoid her king*, ???.
In exchange for the ability to travel across dimensions, Setsuna demands that each pay what they value most. Rei offers ???; Minako offers ???; and Endymion* offers all of Serenity's* memories that involve him. Setsuna then presents them with a creature named Mokona Modoki that sends the group on a journey across dimensions in search of Serenity's* feathers.
After obtaining the first feather, Serenity* will awaken from her catatonic state and start recovering her memories; as they travel, they learn that the feathers have their own unique powers and can bestow several supernatural abilities upon those who possess them - supernatural abilities that will need to be overcome in cases wherein the feather has enabled the holder to fulfill their dreams of wealth or power. Throughout their journey they learn that there is another searching for Serenity's* feathers in order to recombine them and take ownership of the Marboroshi no Tsubasa, a powerful tool they intend to use... but to what end? Source: Tsubasa Wiki - Syaoran Li for history information.RP Sample: He stared down at the glyph, brows furrowed, eyes straining to take in every detail outlined by his lantern’s light, and frowned again at the open book in his hands. The sigil was close, but not exact. With a twitch of his ring finger, he flipped to the next page, searching that symbol in hopes of matching it to the day’s find, but this, too, was different - it lacked the upturn of the middle feather. “What could this mark be?” he wondered aloud to himself, a habit developed after his father had passed - Fujitaka had always kept a running conversation to include him in his work when he was younger, and the silence after had been… disconcerting. When others were around he steered clear of doing it, but alone, tonight, in the newest chamber uncovered of this fantastic complex, he indulged in a now one-sided conversation. “It’s not the crest of this land, so…” The next, then? Frown deepening, he turned the page again and looked up to find Usagi standing in the middle of the symbol. He drew a breath in surprise, her appearance sudden and unexpected - he hadn’t heard her on the stairs behind him; she should have been at home at the palace back in the city, but he was happy to see her, mischievous though her choice may be.
“Princess?” he called out playfully, trying to snap her out of the vacant, daydream-like expression that had overtaken her as she stared around the cavernous room. She leaned her head to see him, the move anything but playful, and his tone changed to match it. “What are you doing here?” he asked, worried for her and her family, growing more perturbed by her behavior second by second. She smiled at him, and then slowly bent to touch the winged glyph at her feet. What was going on? Gripping his book, he didn’t move, waiting for her to snap out of it -
A sound like a bell reverberated through the room and the stone walls, the glyph glowing pink in response to Usagi’s touch. It shook the floor so that he staggered to remain standing, and suddenly the seal opened up beneath her, and Usagi, floating, slowly lowered through the opening in the floor.
He ditched the book and the lantern and ran, chasing after her, pausing by the hole in the floor to gauge the distance down and deciding against following her that way, instead running past the hole and down the disjointed staircase on the other side of the room, descending them as quickly as he could, jumping over their curved, broken end and rolling, his heart pounding as he looked around to find the soft glowing light that surrounded Usagi, illuminating her in the darkness of the buried ruins. She floated, seemingly comatose, before yet another wing sigil far up on a wall. “What is this?” he marveled, nothing he had ever seen, had ever heard, or had ever read anything like what was going on. Lines of light erupted from Usagi’s back, unfolding like the feathers in the ruins reliefs. “Usagi!” he called, but, while her eyes remained open, she didn’t respond. “W-what’s going on?”
Light spread out from the sigil behind her and he called out her name again, quickly standing, fear of losing her propelling him forward. He may not know what was going on, but he knew he didn’t like it - whatever was going on wasn’t her choice - and while he may not understand what was happening, he knew he could very well climb that carved stone wall and rescue her. He dashed over, calling her name, and leaped up to grab hold of the wall and climbed. Before he could reach her she started to disappear through the wall, and he lunged the final distance to grab hold of her, cradling her limp form as they fell.
They hit the floor, her on top of him, and the wings of light on her back shattering into pieces - rainbow colored feathers burst out and rose into the sky, disappearing into the night.
All at once the ruins shook again, stone crumbling around them. He called her name over and over, trying to wake her, but she was completely unresponsive, and growing terribly cold. Gathering her to his chest, he carried her out of the crumbling building, running as fast as he could to find help - to get Artemis or Luna or --
But the dig site was under attack!
Mysterious figures in black raced towards him from the darkness - he held Usagi tighter and turned her away from them, only for the blow to be taken by Queen Luna’s sword, the slice continuing through to cut the attacker in half, revealing an inner metallic form. He called out to her in surprise, but Luna was only interested in Usagi’s wellbeing - something he could not honestly answer to - and before he could properly answer Artemis had appeared and was looking her over. Mamoru knelt down so he could get a better look, but as the mage searched both her and his memories, he did not seem as surprised as Mamoru had been about the feathers of light that had sprouted from Usagi’s back.
“Those feathers were the Princess’s mind,” Artemis explained solemnly, and all Mamoru could do was repeat it. Her mind? Her mind had just shattered and disappeared into the stars. Her mind. His hands trembled as the priest continued, and Mamoru gave him his full attention. “The memories the Princess had within her, from the time she was born until today, have all disappeared. And the mind that has scattered from her… is no longer in… this world.”
This world?!
Luna echoed his confusion and disbelief, but Artemis continued without addressing it, his swift words calm and even and overflowing with importance. “A body without its mind is no more than an empty vessel. If we don’t do something, the Princess will be…"
“Isn’t there anything I can do?” Mamoru swiftly cut in, not allowing those words to be said, that possibility to be voiced - not when there was still something he could do!
The pair of them stared heavily at him, until finally Luna broke the silence. “Kid,” she said,“My sister is in your hands.”
The words were unexpected - Luna had never seemed to care for him, and certainly didn’t care for how he felt about Usagi, but her support strengthened him. There was something he could do, and Luna was giving him her blessing to do it. Artemis stood and pointed with his crescent moon staff to an opening in the ruins, urging him to take Usagi that way, and as they ran together he glanced back to see Luna run off in the opposite direction, her long black hair arcing behind her as she swung her sword and downed another foe to protect their escape.
The door led to an empty ritual room, one restored from when his father had opened it. Artemis lead them in and turned with his staff raised, the magical instrument horizontal and his magic growing around it as he explained. “I am now going to send you both to a place where someone from another world lives.” Mamoru’s eyes widened, but he nodded, holding Usagi’s cold form close to him as Artemis’s sigil lit the floor beneath their feet and his Power surrounded them both. Artemis’s staff swung to vertical, and as the spell took shape, he continued to explain: “To the one who holds the same power as her.”
“The one? Who is that? What should I do once we get there?!” The magic was forming - there wasn’t much time, but he needed to know what to do! How was he going to save her?!
“She is called a “Dimensional Witch,”” Artemis explained, “Please tell her everything that happened and ask her how to save the Princess!”
The Dimensional Witch. The plan was simple, but he put his faith in it. He held Usagi close, his cloak billowing around them as the magic enveloped them. Adrenaline coursed through his veins, fighting the worry that gripped his heart. She looked like she was sleeping. She’d wake up. He’d make sure of it. He would protect her. He’ll find this Dimensional Witch and she’d tell him how to help Usagi, and he wouldn’t stop until she was better again.
He’d do whatever it takes.
