| Hi everyone! Sailor Neptune and I have recently noticed a dilemma when it comes to differentiating whether or not profiles for a specific storyline need to be made in the Canon or Crossover section. We realized that there is not a specific place on the forums that mentions this differentiation, so we have come up with some new guidelines. Please take these into account when deciding whether or not characters for your roleplay need to be crossover or canon.  If your storyline takes place in a universe of a franchise that is not Sailor Moon, it must be a crossover, regardless of how many things have changed in terms of your character's personality, appearance, history, etc.  Any storyline that involves Sailor Moon characters but does not take place in a different franchise's world will require canon profiles.
- All Storyline Specific Information for these kinds of characters must go into an ordinary canon profile. You can only have a maximum of one advanced profile and one relaxed profile for each canon character in the canon section after this announcement. You do not have to fix any previously made profiles, but from now on please follow this rule.
All crossover profiles for Sailor Moon characters can now be put into one general crossover profile. This is a major change from how we have handled crossover profiles in the past. Please read below for an example:Let's say JupiterThunderCrash wants to make an advanced Ami profile for a storyline that takes place in the Big Hero 6 universe. For this profile, she would put it in the crossover section under the title: Advanced Crossover: Ami Mizuno. She would put in all of the information for a typical advanced profile (personality, appearance, history, etc.). However, it would all go under a spoiler tag with the name of the universe as the spoiler tag's title. Here is a visual: General Crossover Profile - Big Hero 6:
Character Name: Ami Mizuno
Gender: Female
Age and Date of Birth: 20, September 10th
Appearance: Ami has blue hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and a thin figure. She's short, and she likes to wear modest, sophisticated outfits, etc.
Personality: Ami's known for her gentle kindness and her sweet nature. She is very intelligent and has one of the highest IQ's in all of Japan. She is very studious and dependable, and there is nothing she cares more about than her friends, etc.
Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Ami is capable of doing practically anything with any kind of chemical. The periodic table of elements is permanently etched into her brain.
History: Ami grew up with a love for science and all of the wonders science beheld. Her mother was a doctor, and even though that was the path Ami planned on pursuing for most of her life, the discovery of physics and chemistry changed all of that, etc.
Other Noteworthy Facts: Ami is a Virgo. She loves all subjects in school, but she doesn't care too much about P.E., etc.
Storyline Specific Information: This is where you will provide details regarding the specific storyline(s) this crossover is for. You must provide whether or not each storyline for each SSI is advanced or relaxed.
RP Sample: Ami loved nothing more than the crisp freshness of the lab. She couldn't quite explain it, but being here always put a smile on her face and warmed her heart. She was where she belonged, and not a lot of people could say that, etc.
Let's say a month later, JupiterThunderCrash joins another advanced crossover storyline as Ami, but this storyline takes place in the Pacific Rim universe. Instead of creating an all-new crossover profile for Ami, JupiterThunderCrash could just bounce back to the one she made for Big Hero 6 (the one shown above) and add in the Pacific Rim crossover. After she does this, her profile will look like this: General Crossover Profile - Big Hero 6:
Character Name: Ami Mizuno
Gender: Female
Age and Date of Birth: 20, September 10th

She knew her mother wouldn't like it, but she also knew that in the end, her mother wasn't the one that was going to be living her life. So without any further hesitation, Ami began to write her name, etc.
For every crossover put in a spoiler tag like shown above, you must post in your profile to let me know that a new crossover has been added.For every new crossover added to your profile, it counts as another profile being made. So the above example would count as two separate profiles on an RP points card, even though they exist within one profile. A week later, JupiterThunderCrash joins another crossover storyline as Ami in the Harry Potter universe. However, instead of being advanced like the last two storylines, this storyline is relaxed. JupiterThunderCrash can still add this profile to her existing crossover profile, but it will not have to be as elaborate as the two entries above (it will have to follow the relaxed profile skeleton instead of the advanced, like the last two profiles). After JupiterThunderCrash adds the Harry Potter profile, her overall profile will look like this: General Crossover Profile - Big Hero 6:

Both of her parents are magical, so she is a pure-blood witch. All her life, she has dreamed of attending Hogwarts to study just like her parents had, etc.
Storyline Specific Information: This is where you will provide details regarding the specific storyline(s) this crossover is for. You must provide whether or not each storyline for each SSI is advanced or relaxed.
RP Sample: Ami twirled her new wand between her fingers, marveling at its simple beauty. She could only imagine the magic it held, and her excitement only grew to unveil it the longer she twirled, etc.
In some crossover cases, the appearance/personality/history/etc. of your character may not differentiate from the canon Sailor Moon universe. For example, in the profiles posted above, Ami has the same appearance and personality as she does in canon. If this is the case, you can simply post a link to your advanced canon profile (if you have one) OR copy/paste those sections from your approved advanced canon profile for that character. So in JupiterThunderCrash's case:General Crossover Profile - Big Hero 6:

For all members who have created crossover profiles before, you do NOT have to edit these previously-approved profiles or combine them into one profile. However, from this moment forward, all crossover profiles must be combined into one profile as shown above. This is mandatory. The reason for these changes is to keep our profile submission threads more clean and organized, and to make it easier to find certain profiles for certain storylines. | @Kyra, In your case (and in the case of anyone else who wishes to do this), we can merge all of the topics that are canon (Mamoru, Prince, King, and the Love & Spite) together so that they're all in one thread. Then you can go through and edit that thread and add in the profiles to the main post. All you need to do is post in one of the four threads with links to the rest of your profiles (just to make it easier on Sailor Neptune and I) so that we can merge all of your profiles together. You can do the same thing with your Wizard and Pacific Rim profiles in the Otaku section  You can make that merged crossover thread your General Crossover Profile. |
