| Subject: How Do You Prefer to Play a Crossover RP Character? 22nd March 2018, 9:57 am | |
| This came up in a conversation with Sailor Jupiter and it got me wondering what other people think! When you play a character in a crossover, how do you prefer to do so? • Do you mix the personalities and traits of the two characters/roles from each universe? • Do you keep the character as unchanged as possible from his or her original universe? • Do you modify the character to completely adapt to the universe you are placing him or her in?I don't know that I actually have a preference! I want to mesh well with the other RPers, so I usually follow someone else's lead! I've played original universe character as-is, just with updated history/etc. for the new universe but otherwise as unchanged as would make sense. I've played the character "meshed" with the other character/role they were stepping into, if that makes more sense giving what the other players like. They both have their charms! What do you like to do? (Or, if you've never participated in a crossover, what do you think you would do?) |

| Personally, I think I prefer to keep the "core" personality the same, but figure out how the character would be different due to the new universe and influences from their new life in this crossover world. I don't think I've played a character taking the role of a crossover character though, so not sure I have a preference there xD! I think, when in doubt, ask your RP partners what they'd prefer and come to a conclusion together! |
