| Name: Jasper Franklin Name Meaning: Jasper means "treasurer" in Persian, and also refers to the gemstone of the same name. Franklin means "freeman," referring to an individual who is specifically not a serf in feudalistic societies. Gender: Male Birthday: December 31 Age: 20-22 (Tokyo City era) Used Canon: Anime Appearance: Jasper has short brown hair and hazel eyes. He towers above most other individuals, possessing an athletic and lean body with a height measured at 6'0" or approximately 183 cm. He tends to favor thrifty, functional, and conservative clothing over any specific style, often keeping his limbs covered. If dressing up is necessary to make a strong impression, however, Jasper will not shy away from such an opportunity. Personality: Jasper is a young man with a vigorous, diligent disposition. He does not enjoy sitting idle for long, preferring to use his available time to better himself. He is tactful and diplomatic in his social interactions, finding some enjoyment in social functions - at the very least, they help with building a new relationship or reinforcing his connections to other people. Though Jasper exhibits the qualities and traits of a hardworking young man, he is not without his moments of flippancy; this can range from bad jokes to a complete disregard for the gravity of a situation. In spite of his magnetic spirit, Jasper also carries a mean streak which rests beneath his more composed exterior. Once provoked, Jasper tends to use harsh, cutting remarks to indicate his displeasure. He also is not above using psychological manipulation to achieve his goals. Despite his fondness for loud speech, Jasper has a difficult time with fully letting go of his emotions when angered or offended. Jasper's patient nature means that he has a long fuse, but it may also allow more powder to be placed into the keg before it erupts into a furious conflagration. A significant aspect of Jasper's personality is his meticulous, detail-oriented sense of awareness; there is precious little in the physical world that goes unnoticed by his eyes. As a result, Jasper is an unapologetic skeptic; he places little to no value in spoken words that aren't backed by direct evidence or action. When Jasper commits to a course of action or thought, he becomes very difficult to sway from his position. Jasper's dedication also means that he can easily become engrossed in his own pursuits, losing interest in anything not directly relating to his activities. This may give him the appearance of selfishness, or at the very least, a disconnection from the feelings and needs of others. After fleeing the Dark Kingdom, Jasper has set his sights on entrepreneurship; he is thrilled at the notion of founding and operating a business venture. This should not be confused a love of money; Jasper loves to engage in commerce for its own sake, and is quite generous to the individuals closest to him. Finally, Jasper is torn with internal conflict over his history of violence. Having been used and manipulated by evil forces, he is wary of committing himself to a fight on the behalf of those to whom he has little or no emotional attachment. His reasons for avoiding conflict lean more towards pragmatism than idealism; he recognizes his own capabilities and resents his lack of foresight from the past era, feeling that inaction on his behalf may do more good than all the strength in the universe. Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Jasper is a skilled researcher, able to quickly gather knowledge and put it to use. He is highly perceptive of his surrounding environment with regard to the physical world; he can also see very well in the darkness, having adapted to it during his time in the Dark Kingdom. Together with his social graces, these qualities serve Jasper well in his mercantile endeavors. He is sometimes jokingly referred to as a pack rat for the ease he displays in acquiring things of interest. Jasper is bilingual, fluent in speaking both English and Japanese. Jasper possesses exceptional fortitude, and is a seasoned fighter capable of using his bare hands in addition to manufactured or improvised weapons. Being attuned to darkness, Jasper recovers more quickly from fatigue and injuries during periods of prolonged exposure to areas of low light or where light is absent. History: Jasper is the reincarnation of an Earthborn swordsman who died during the fall of the Moon Kingdom. Having fought underneath Queen Beryl's banner, he was reborn into the Dark Kingdom as a low-ranking foot soldier. Though he remembered nothing of his past life, Jasper possessed a remarkable force of will, allowing him to survive and even thrive underneath Metalia's shadow. Amongst the faces of the beshadowed realm, Jasper idolized and admired the Shitennou above all others. Through hard work and perseverance, and some amount of internal strife, Jasper clawed his way to the top of the rat pack to draw the attention of the dark queen's generals. He became fascinated by their pursuit of Beryl's orders, offering his own skills of material acquisition to support their schemes. As the Sailor Senshi began to emerge as an opposing force, Jasper struggled to maintain a neutral stance towards each of the queen's generals; he would not choose sides in any of their personal affairs, insisting that he would instead continue to offer support towards their common goal. Jasper's loyalty to the Dark Kingdom was pushed perilously close to the breaking point when Zoisite was struck down for insubordination. Not only was he stuck in the thankless position of being a mediator between a brainwashed Endymion and his mentor Kunzite, Jasper was also reeling from the return of his past memories. After Kunzite's fall, Jasper became aware that the Dark Kingdom would be briefly vulnerable to a counterattack by the Senshi, and it was likely that he would be ordered to engage them. He compared his options closely, his thoughts turning back to Prince Endymion - the one person that Jasper held in higher esteem than the Shitennou. Ultimately, he concluded, there was no good that could come of his continued opposition; it would end in his death or theirs, a false choice that drove his self-preservation instincts into a screaming tantrum. Enough, Jasper thought. If the Shitennou could not stop the Senshi, what chance did he stand? With his eyes open for what felt like the first time in years, Jasper decided that he would take the first step to a better life, and hedge his bets on the sliver of hope that Endymion would be saved. Once his mind was set, Jasper abandoned the Dark Kingdom without hesitation. He would blend into the human world and carve out a living for himself - away from the struggles of good and evil. At least, that was the plan. Though he fled to Tokyo, located several hundred miles from D-Point, Jasper was able to sense the final conflict between Metalia and Princess Serenity. His chest tightened painfully as darkness fell across the city, as if a clawed hand had seized his heart and squeezed with murderous intent. As he fought to breathe, Jasper's thoughts turned back to the conflict that he fled. Should I have helped them? Did I do the right thing? The former Dark Kingdom soldier collapsed before he could further berate himself with doubt. Hours later, Jasper awoke with none of the suffocating agony that assaulted his very being. In fact, he felt lighter, as though a great burden had been lifted from his shoulders. Lifting his head to gaze upon the moon, Jasper raised a hand to his chest and whispered brief words of gratitude. Other Noteworthy Facts: Blood type: O Favorite school subject: Economics Least favorite school subject: N/A Favorite food: Spicy chicken Least favorite food: Leftovers, wasted food Storyline Specific Information: - Sailor Luna and Tuxedo Cat:
(STORY IN PROGRESS) Jasper has earned some small amount of prestige within the Dark Kingdom for his efforts in controlling an outbreak of psychic parasites. Though he has been very successful in containing their spread, Jasper has more ambitious goals in mind.
Bored with the lack of effective resistance on Earth, Jasper plots to unleash the Dark Kingdom's own pests upon an unsuspecting populace in order to demonstrate his resourcefulness and cunning to the Shitennou. Lacking the burden of past memories or a conscience derived thereof, this thrillseeker is out to cause trouble for its own intrinsic entertainment value.
- Hotline Tokyo:
(STORY IN PROGRESS) During the onset of the summer season prior to Usagi's 16th birthday, a masked villain named Schwarzpferd appears with seemingly no other goal than to inflict havoc and destruction upon the city of Tokyo.
- Fractured Zenith:
(STORY IN PROGRESS) In this alternate timeline, Jasper is an embittered forager who explores the Australian Outback for food, water, supplies, and relics of a bygone era. He seeks to locate and awaken the Sailor Senshi in a troubled Earth scarred by nuclear war and an outbreak of petrifying crystal growth.
- The Collector:
The light of the Silver Crystal has freed Shadow from the last vestiges of Chaos's influence, granting him an extended lifespan. Over the course of those long years, he discovered that his power was not lost - it simply had changed as he did, no longer responding to triggers of pernicious intent.
While he could have chosen to live in peace, Jasper's past sense of duty from the Silver Millenium obligated him to pursue the daunting task of learning to further attune himself with the newfound light. Though four centuries would pass before he achieved that balance, Jasper remained committed to fighting evil forces on the behalf of the innocent.
Upon learning of Neo Queen Serenity's abduction, Shadow pushed his telekinetic power to its limits in order to follow Sailor Enyalius and the visiting Senshi that pledged themselves to the rescue effort. Having driven himself towards the point of exhaustion, Shadow was determined to save the Queen and King from an ignoble fate as part of a kidnapper's personal collection.
As the Senshi made their way further into the twisted curator's citadel, they discovered artifacts that were imbued with the spirits of Senshi who had vanished into the darkness of history. Through a strange twist of fate, the Collector had also seen fit to restore his longsword Schwarzpferd to its former glory.
The Queen and her court were ultimately saved by the collaborative efforts of Shadow and the visiting Senshi. As a reward, he was presented the Silver Crescent Award and honorary citizenship within Crystal Tokyo. Though he accepted the accolades, pangs of guilt continued to stir within his heart. Shadow turned his sword over to Serenity and Endymion, pledging that he would only use the blade to defend their kingdom.
- Decay:
Responding to an urgent summons from Neo Queen Serenity, Shadow learned of an emergency on the distant planet of Zenar. Their representative, a tiny faerie named Lillyena, explained that their world was infested with a maelvolent force. Someone, or something, had kidnapped their Queen - putting the livelihood of Lillyena's people in jeopardy. Shadow was quick to pledge his aid, even though interplanetary travel was not without its risks. Having remembered Shadow's state health from five months ago, Sailor Enyalius offered him a flight strategy that would prevent unnecessary strain.
There was one last surprise before the group was set to depart. King Endymion, whom had been a role model to Shadow throughout the ages, offered a sword to him. He didn't have to look very closely at the weapon to know that it was Schwarzpferd. Reaffirming his oath of vigilance, Shadow graciously accepted the ancient blade and accompanied the Senshi on their journey to Zenar.
A perilous land filled with dangerous creatures awaited the senshi's rescue effort. They succeeded in reaching the castle where Queen Mana was held captive, but arrived too late to save her from the Evil One's corrupting influence. When her spells of protection began to fade, the decay and putrefaction of Zenar's native flora began to accelerate. At this point, the senshi made the difficult decision to flee the planet with as many faerie refugees as they could find.
Privately, Shadow berates himself for two separate events that, in his perspective, contributed heavily to their failure. Though his intentions were good, he ended up causing unnecessary harm while attempting to banish a bank of acidic smoke during a surprise attack from goblins. This in turn led to Mossen falling unconscious, which gave rise to the mistaken assumption that he was instead kidnapped by those jaundiced fiends. Subsequently, Shadow suggested that some of the party members branch off to search for Mossen.
Near the end of their initial excursion, Shadow received quite the bittersweet revelation that Mossen had only fallen unconscious during the goblin attack. His troubles were rewarded with their faerie pathfinder throwing a handful of dust into his face. As it turned out, a troublesome cursed spirit had possessed Shadow and robbed him of a good night's sleep through unwanted feelings of paranoia.
- Return to Zenar:
Not satisfied with his failure from the first expedition, Shadow volunteered to return to Zenar and destroy the agent of Chaos that is responsible for tainting the planet. Shortly after arriving on Zenar, Shadow found himself separated from the other senshi by means of a trap door that dropped him into a dark, lightless basement. Fumbling through the darkness, Shadow eventually stumbled upon Mossen. What would have been relief soon turned to horror, for Mossen succumbed to the evil forces as many faeries before him. Shadow subdued the faerie with some mild amount of trouble, only to find another troubling revelation; the trap door had brought him to the lair of the Evil One herself! Alone in the near darkness, Shadow found himself unable to do much more than endure the onslaught of the Evil One's attacks. Having refused the seductive offer of the serpentine sorceress, Shadow was prepared to die with dignity - and would have, if not for the timely arrival of the senshi. Shortly afterward, the castle lair of the fallen Evil One began to crumble. Injured as he was, Shadow was able to escape the planet with the other senshi and learn of their successes in freeing Princess Flora from the Evil One's malevolent influence. Whether or not he was to be considered a hero for his actions, Shadow was all too eager to claim at least one reward - a lengthy period of rest and recovery.
- Remnants:
One month after the purification of planet Zenar, a distress call reverberated through the galaxy. A band of volunteering senshi, led by Sailor Enyalius and Shadow, were sent to investigate the signal's origin on a distant planet that was believed to be uninhabited.
What they found was a metallic maze filled with murderous machines and a mysterious woman named Ribbon who was being held captive by a set of equally mysterious wardens. It soon became clear that this was a prison, but the woman's role there was not yet understood until the senshi attempted to leave. Ribbon was serving as bait, and her captors were springing a deadly trap.
With no other options left, Enyalius, Shadow, and the senshi were forced to fight their way through a horde of heavily armed robots and their two overseers. Though they were exhausted from their efforts, the senshi were able to successfully escape the planet.
Not long after they left, Sailor Achelois quickly sensed that her planet was being assaulted by the machinations of Chaos. A swift response was initiated, and the culprit - a seed - had attempted to spread its roots into her home. Though insidious and deadly, the corruption was rendered powerless against Achelois once she exposed its source.
Shortly after the purification of Achelois, the senshi arrived at the Sol System. They were not given a red carpet treatment, however; Earth's away team found themselves stuck outside of a gigantic garnet-colored ellipsoid of energy. Further investigation at the dwarf-planet of Pluto led to several shocking revelations...
Rather than the few days that were experienced with the rescue operation, Shadow and the senshi had been away for five months! They were assumed to be dead, and Chaos was using their absence to attack neighboring systems. In an effort to protect the Sol System, defensive systems had been established at Pluto, Uranus, and Neptune. No being was permitted to cross the complex force shield.
When Ribbon suggested that the senshi could face retaliation upon their own homeworlds for foiling the mastermind's plot, Andromeda and Leviathan were quick to realize that their respective planets were being assaulted. Enyalius also felt the tendrils of Chaos encroach upon her planet, but chose to keep that information to herself.
Leviathan could not bear to wait through debates of what course of action to take, and hurried towards her home planet. Shadow was equally unwilling to let Leviathan go on her own, departing from Pluto to follow the wayward senshi back to her world.
- Leviathan Core:
Shadow has followed Sailor Leviathan to her homeworld, intent on identifying the threat to her planet and keeping its namesake senshi out of danger. Unfortunately for Shadow, his fixation on locating and destroying the Chaos Seed has impacted the impressions of the senshi around him. Worse, an interpersonal rift had opened between Shadow and Sailor Enyalius, with neither party wanting to address their differences. After all, Leviathan had only hours remaining before the dark seed reached the end of its growth cycle.
While dealing with strange (and hungry) aquatic creatures that lurked beneath Leviathan's capital city, Shadow and Sailor Amatheia were caught within a rockslide produced by another of the planet's escalating tremors. The senshi group were forced to make the hard choice to abandon their companions and further pursue their mission. Fortunately for the planet itself, the seed was destroyed before it could wreak further havoc on Leviathan's core.
Through the intervention of the strange old crone, Shadow and Amatheia recovered from their ordeal just in time to witness the awful truth of the Chaos Seeds. Enyalius had hidden from them the knowledge that her own planet had also been attacked, just like Andromeda and Leviathan. Instead of destroying the planet and its guardian, however, the seeds were designed to corrupt their intended victims.
The senshi would now have to deal with a transformed Enyalius and free her from the clutches of darkness before she could be permitted to achieve her full strength. Unfortunately, the most expedient way of performing this task would require euthanizing the fallen soldier. Knight Name: Shadow Henshin/Transformation Phrase: N/A. Jasper's powers are innate, and do not require a transformation phrase. He uses the alias of Shadow to protect his civilian identity from unwanted attention. Realm of Influence(s): Darkness, Psychokinesis. Shadow can lift, move, and interact with objects without physically touching them through sheer force of will. He may fly or even travel through space by lifting and propelling his own body through strenuous effort that risks his physical health. Uniform: Styled after the aesthetics of the Shitennou, Shadow's uniform consists of a pair of black pants and a grey shirt, over which he wears a black jacket. Completing this outfit is a short pair of black combat boots, partially covered by the cuffs of his trousers. Powers: Shockwave - Drawing his right arm back as if preparing to throw a punch, Shadow then thrusts his hand forward to project a wave of intense telekinetic force towards his target. The shockwave appears as a rippling distortion of light when travelling through the air. This attack is particularly dangerous at night or in conditions of poor lighting, as Shadow can gather additional dark energy to produce a larger shockwave capable of inflicting significant damage to structures and sentient beings alike. Dance of Shadows - A technique which draws on ambient dark energy to teleport Shadow from one location to another. Shadow may cross greater distances if he invokes this power in dimly-lit places. Very bright light, however, will diminish or negate his ability to teleport. Night's Edge - Shadow channels destructive power into either of his arms, which manifests as a dark, flamelike shroud of negative energy that cuts through physical matter as easily as a razor cuts into paper. Shadow may channel Night's Edge through handheld weapons to extend his reach, but they will also be subject to the effects of the destructive shroud. While the darkness itself does not directly harm Shadow or his other possessions , maintaining the shroud is an extremely taxing effort on his part a taxing effort that requires concentration. While active , Night's Edge also causes Shadow to be more vulnerable to positive- or light-based energy attacks, which may disperse the shroud in addition to causing him harm. - Upon HC Level 7: Night's Edge also corrupts the physical strength of its victims, diminishing their ability to fight back or otherwise threaten Shadow and his allies. Twilight Fortress - Gathering dark energy in a manner similar to his preparation for the Shockwave attack, Shadow crosses his arms together before forcefully bringing them to his sides. This invocation allows Shadow to form a mystic shield that can withstand attacks of both physical and magical nature. When Shadow calls upon this power, it manifests as a mildly opaque, dark-colored spherical haze that surrounds his body. When he is attacked, the haze thickens and hardens into a shield to intercept the offending objects. The haze's presence also acts as a form of psychic white noise, impeding efforts to influence or control Shadow by eclipsing the 'signal' of his thoughts. Twilight Fortress grants considerable mental and physical protection, but this bulwark is not without an opportunity cost. The concentration required to maintain the shield prevents Shadow from using any other powers, but he may continue to fight with weapons or through other indirect methods. Umbral Surge (HC Level 5) - Shadow can attack a single enemy or group by invoking a thunderous explosion of dark energy from within their very shadows. In addition to requiring shadows or a relative area of darkness from which to generate the blast, Shadow must be able to establish eye contact with the adumbration that he wishes to detonate. Antumbral Abyss (HC Level 10) - For a few brief moments, Shadow can extend his own shade several meters outward along the floor or other horizontal surface he is standing upon and create an area of utter darkness. Everyone and everything caught within the gloom will be subjected to intense gravitational pressure as the void attempts to greedily swallow all that it touches. Weapons or Magical Items: Shadow often improvises weapons from his environment, but they rarely last long in his hands. Other than Schwarzpferd, Shadow has no specific weapons or magical artifacts associated with him. - Schwarzpferd:
This weapon was carried by Jasper in the last year of his life during the Silver Millenium. Named after a spirited and cantankerous black mare that he owned and cared for, this Earth Kingdom longsword is well crafted and balanced. A stylized engraving of a running horse is etched on the blade just above the crossguard.
Thought to be lost after the destruction of the Moon Kingdom in ages past, Shadow recovered the weapon during his mission to rescue Neo Queen Serenity and her court. The blade is mystically hardened from its repeated exposure to dark and destructive energies, never pitting, rusting, or otherwise losing its shape.
Schwarzpferd is currently in the possession of Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion. RP Sample: Stalking forward through driving snow and biting cold, Jasper came to a stop before the five senshi that had caused so much trouble for the Dark Kingdom. He looked over each of them in turn, meeting their gazes with his own. "You're finally here. I have been thinking about our current situation-" Jupiter snarled and clenched her fists, taking up a defensive posture. "If you're going to fight us, shut up and get it over w-" Jasper spat back at Jupiter with an intimidating glare. "Don't interrupt me when I'm speaking!" A moment later, he resumed his vocal train of thought as if their exchange had never occured. "As I was saying, I had time to consider our predicament. If you're curious, I was sent to stop you from trespassing." The five heroines tensed at his words, expecting Jasper to launch an assault in the next few moments. Contrary to their expectations, Jasper held his ground and continued to speak, hints of weariness creeping into his voice. "I have no problem with enduring hardship for a worthy goal. However, allowing that witch to debase or destroy the last person I care for is not a worthy goal."

| He's a cool character. I love how you've incorporated him into the Dark Kingdom too, that was neat to read. My favorite part was the fact that he was a mediator between Evil!Endymion and Kunzite haha That does not sound fun xD
Was he affected at all by the destruction of Metallia? I know he left before, but I am curious if he was able to feel its destruction, or if it affected him in any way? If so, could you add that into his history? If not, just let me know and I shall finish with approving the profile! =] |

| Thanks for raising the question! I gave the idea some additional thought, and decided that Jasper would have suffered a heart attack as Metalia escalated her efforts to destroy Serenity; some of his power was forcefully recalled. |

| Profile update request! One power slipped by me when I originally wrote the profile, but this should be the only one I need to add. This will play a big role in Hotline Tokyo. - Powers:
Twilight Fortress- Gathering dark energy in a manner similar to his preparation for the Shockwave attack, Shadow crosses his arms together before forcefully bringing them to his sides.

| Requesting the following updates! Since I have a snippet about Jasper's ability to 'acquire' things in his history, I decided that needs to be addressed in the unique abilities and skills section. - Any Unique Abilities/Skills:
Jasper is a skilled researcher, able to quickly gather knowledge and put it to use.
- Storyline Specific Information:
- Decay: Return to Zenar (IN PROGRESS):
Not satisfied with his failure from the first expedition, Shadow volunteers to return to Zenar and destroy the agent of Chaos that is responsible for tainting the planet.

| I would like to update Shadow's profile with the following storyline information.

| I have a few updates for your consideration! Personality (Updates in bolded italics) Jasper is a young man with a vigorous, diligent disposition. Jasper's patient nature means that he has a long fuse, but it may also allow more powder to be placed into the keg before it erupts into a furious conflagration.Any Unique Abilities/Skills: (added below existing text) Being attuned to darkness, Jasper recovers more quickly from fatigue and injuries during periods of prolonged exposure to areas of low light or where light is absent.Storyline Specific Information- Fractured Zenith:
In this alternate timeline, Jasper is an embittered forager who explores the Australian Outback for food, water, supplies, and relics of a bygone era. He seeks to locate and awaken the Sailor Senshi in a troubled Earth scarred by nuclear war and an outbreak of petrifying crystal growth.

| I'd like to add the following powers for HC Events. Umbral Surge (HC Level 5): Shadow can attack a single enemy or group by invoking a thunderous explosion of dark energy from within their very shadows. In addition to requiring shadows or a relative area of darkness from which to generate the blast, Shadow must be able to establish eye contact with the adumbration that he wishes to detonate. Antumbral Abyss (HC Level 10): For a few brief moments, Shadow can extend his own shade several meters outward along the floor or other horizontal surface he is standing upon and create an area of utter darkness. Everyone and everything caught within the gloom will be subjected to intense gravitational pressure as the void attempts to greedily swallow all that it touches. I'd also like to change his Night's Edge power. - Night's Edge:
Previous text New text
Shadow channels destructive power into either of his arms, which manifests as a dark, flamelike shroud of negative energy that cuts through physical matter as easily as a razor cuts into paper. Shadow may channel Night's Edge through handheld weapons to extend his reach, but they will also be subject to the effects of the destructive shroud.
While the darkness itself does not directly harm Shadow or his other possessions, maintaining the shroud is an extremely taxing effort on his part a taxing effort that requires concentration. While active, Night's Edge also causes Shadow to be more vulnerable to positive- or light-based energy attacks, which may disperse the shroud in addition to causing him harm.
- Upon HC Level 7: Night's Edge also corrupts the physical strength of its victims, diminishing their ability to fight back or otherwise threaten Shadow and his allies.

| Updating Jasper's sheet with the following SSI notes! Weapons or Magical Items- Energy-sensor Goggles:
A set of goggles received from the senshi conference following the Rebirth of the Stars. This gadget enables Shadow to perceive energy signatures that can offer valuable insight to an enemy's abilities. The goggles may be used by anyone, and thus Shadow is generally hesitant to let them go beyond his reach. Storyline Specific Information- Light in Darkness:
Together with Sailor Leviathan, Shadow journeyed to Sagittarius Zero Star in response to the emergent crisis of the stolen Sailor Crystal which formerly belonged to Enyalius. He was joined by Sailor Bellatrix and two other familiar acquaintances, yet the reunion was not at all a happy one. Tensions between himself and Sailor Mars ran high, and then a decisive moment came when Sailor Leviathan sacrificed her memories to offer her friends passage across the river.
Instead of accepting the ferrymonger's words at face value, Shadow found fault within her language and came to the conclusion that the gondolier negotiated in bad faith. Believing Leviathan to be at risk, Shadow dove into the memory-stealing waters to save his friend from a horrible fate. The two of them survived, albeit either missing most or all of their memories. Later intervention from the Crone would reverse the river's effect, which included restoring the memory of Shadow's disappointment over the seeming lack of concern for Leviathan's retainer, Enoch. After all, if he had not been able to deliver the message, the senshi reinforcements might not have arrived in time.
- Continuation:
In the two months following the miraculous Rebirth of the Stars, Jasper has volunteered physical labor to the citizens of Leviathan to help them rebuild their homes, while simulatenously looking after Sailor Leviathan. At Guardian Leviathan's insistence, he attends a conference near the center of the galaxy. Senshi guardians from the various sectors of the Milky Way are in attendance, gathered upon a small terrestrial planet whose technology and culture closely mirrored that of Earth, circa 2000 A.D. The purpose of the congregation was to share hard-earned information and techniques for the purpose of bringing the Sailor Wars to a swift end. - Panel Choices:
1C: A quick study in psychology with tips and techniques to turn bad situations around within a group setting and providing a metaphorical carrot to keep things moving smoothly; emphasis was paid to situations they had been facing recently, including defeat, depression, death of a teammate, and situations wherein the people they worked with did not want to be there or did not value the mission. Light roleplay was involved, with characters taking up different roles in given situations and swapping out who would take on the leadership role and get the "team" moving again. 2B: Practice in organizing well-balanced groups to be most effective when choosing from a large pool; practice with giving out duties, lists given for potential "small scale" duties for less-experienced senshi when shadowing an experienced teammate is out of the question; practice with organizing "thrown together" groups of volunteers that happened upon the same site at the same time. Practice with quickly learning about a senshi's abilities and connecting them to goal-specific tasks. Activities included practice within the room itself; randomly assigning groups and goals (defend a city, capture a city, find the enemy, etc.) and had participants figure things out with those who were actually there. 3A: What to look for when using scanners on chaotic enemies and generals; energy signals that can indicate whether an enemy can shapeshift, whether it can grow or shrink in size, whether it can control the minds of those around it, whether it can fly, whether it was stronger or faster or had higher defense than normal. Small scanners were handed out to participants who did not have any scanner technology, warned, however, that the scanner can be used by anybody, not just senshi. Shadow gains a set of energy-sensor goggles. 4A: Similar to Motivation panel, but emphasis put on how to become the leader of your group when no leader is appointed. Emphasis placed on how to direct your team's attention to things you believe are important, how to listen to teammates and incorporate ideas to give ownership, and what to say and how to say "this is what I think we should do, and this is why you should do it."
Following the conclusion of the first day's panels and catered meals, something unusual began to happen. Some of the senshi fell into an unnatural slumber from which they could not voluntarily wake.
