| Let's face it, you've got very few good options as a Sailor Senshi. There's the romantic Mamoru who always gets kidnapped and is constantly in the negaverse when you've planned a nice Friday night date. There's guys like Nephrite who, whoops, turn out to be evil and then die on you, and then there's Umino. Who is... Umino.
Motoki has been described as "boring" but this is actually one of the best things about him. Need to find him? No problem, he's always at the Game Center. He's here to be a nice person and he'll even teach you some cool video game moves! He hasn't ever been possessed, kidnapped, had his heart stolen, etc, etc, etc. For the busy Sailor Senshi who just wants to kick back and have a calm weekend date with a reliable guy, they should look no further than Motoki! |

| Motoki is awesome boyfriend material. How can you not love a turtle lover? But, now legit. Would a sailor senshi rather have a superhero significant other that can empathize with the superhero biz? Come home and be free to complain how chaffing the uniform is or how hard it is to conceal that black eye you got the other night. Or, on the Motoki side, come home knowing everything is normal? You got at least one person that makes you feel like a regular human, and not a defender of justice. |

| I'd probably be jealous of the turtle or something. I agree he'd make good boyfriend material for some, but personally for myself, I wouldn't go for it I don't think. He seems to be too married to his work also...
I'd want PGSM Matoki in a heartbeat. Anime Motoki, nah. |

| I can definitely understand the appeal of 90s anime Motoki, PGSM Motoki, and even manga Motoki. He's just a solidly nice guy. He does seem a little bit dense, though—it might take more than a little bit of flirting and discussion to make him aware of any romantic interest in him. (Although I think if anyone stated their intentions to him he'd understand. I also think he could turn down someone kindly, if he wasn't interested.) |

| I haven't had any experience with 90s Anime or PGSM Motoki, but I definitely agree that manga Motoki would make a super cute boyfriend! He didn't get all that much character development in the manga, but it's obvious that he's super sweet, if a little bit plain. - Sailor Mercury wrote:

I can definitely see this happening |
