Appearance:
Mamoru is a handsome young man with black hair and dark blue eyes. He stands at 5 feet and 9 inches and has an svelte, athletic build. His shoulders are broad and his waist is trim.

He’s very fashionable and often dresses so. He typically wears nice button-down shirts and pants. Occasionally, he'll wear a blazer or sports jacket and a tie with his ensemble; it all depends on what the occasion calls for.

He wears glasses for reading.

Personality:
Upon first meeting, Mamoru seems cool and distant. He might come off as cold, arrogant, and aloof at times, depending who you are. He might seem a little judgmental, too. However, this is all a facade to protect himself. Having lost both of his parents at a young age, he is cautious about letting others in. Once that outer shell is broken, though, he reveals himself to be sweet, gentle, and more modest/shy than one might expect.

In regards to his family (Usagi and Chibiusa), he is loving and doting. He is most grateful to Usagi from saving him from a life of loneliness and he is always supportive of her. Because of her, he has a tendency to look towards the future rather than the past especially considering his amnesia and all the times he's been brainwashed by the enemy.

Mamoru likes books and his favorite school subject is physics. He also enjoys track and field. He dreams of becoming a doctor.

History:
Mamoru remembers very little about his past. He lost his parents in a car accident as a young boy. The crash left him with a bad case of amnesia—one that he never recovers from. However, during his sixteenth year, he began having dreams of a young woman. She asked him to find the Legendary Silver Crystal. He dreamt that same dream constantly before finally he became the masked vigilante, Tuxedo Mask, in order to find the Crystal that the dream maiden begged him for.

As Tuxedo Mask, Mamoru sports a rather dashing ensemble. His shirt is a white pleated wingtip tuxedo shirt with a white bowtie. Beneath bowtie is a golden cross pendant. Over his shirt, he wears a white vest with a golden pocket watch with a celestial theme. The third layer of his suit is a black, double-breasted jacket, which he wears unbuttoned. His slacks are black and pleated. He also wears a black cape with red lining. To complete his look, he wears a top hat and carries a cane with a silver handle. A white, winged eye mask obscures his face.

Powers:
“In the manga he was said to have some psychic abilities, such as a form of touch-telepathy with Chibiusa, the ability to heal wounds in a manner similar to Hotaru Tomoe, and some psychometric ability. He also could sense the well-being of the planet, and when the surface of the North Pole was damaged in the final battle against Queen Metalia, he used his power to restore the land. In the anime he was never said outright to have these abilities like in the manga, however the touch-telepathy was shown on screen. In both of these continuities when the Earth was under attack by the Dead Moon, Mamoru was affected as he was linked to the planet, and therefore he became very ill as the attacks on the planet progressed” (WikiMoon).

– “Pink Sugar Tuxedo Attack!” is a tandem attack he performs with Sailor Chibi Moon while using the Pink Moon Stick.
