Usagi x Mamoru for me! They're just too romantic . I was pleasantly surprised they made it this far. I love Chibi-Usa x Helios too but they're just not as well developed so it's kind of hard to know if things would ultimately work out for them as a couple, especially considering the difference in their stations.

At least that's my two cents!

Voted. And I voted fro Usagi and Mamor. Even though I like Hlios and Chibiusa quite a bit, you can't beat the main couple of the franchise and I'm so happy my suggestion made it this far.

Voted as well. I actually tend to prefer these pairings combined across all the versions having things I like about each version, especially since Chibiusa and Helios aren't quite as developed in the manga. That said...it's hard to betray my overall OTP even tho I prefer them slightly more in other versions (and maybe a certain fan comic ;D). I think even though I really enjoy Chibiusa and Helios in anime, the manga did really seal the deal for me, especially with kiss scene! It's one of my favorites!

Bump! It's so nice to hear why everyone voted the way they did--the version of each of each pairing really does make a difference, doesn't it? Only about an hour and a half left to vote~

Oh wow, this was interesting! Like I said, UsaMamo will always be my favorite, but Chibiusa and Helios is a good couple too. Honestly, I'm pretty surprised it wasn't UsaMamo versus Haruka and Michiru.

Wow! I really didn't expect my OTP to win. o_o I was already surprised it made it as far as the semi final, but for it to beat the main pairing in Sailor Moon and other very popular pairings (i.e. HaruMichi) is a huge surprise for me. Regardless, I think it's a nice surprise.

Interesting! I was definitely expecting UsaMamo or mayyybe HaruMichi to win. Chibs and Helios are super cute, they just don't get as much interaction

Ooh, that's a very good idea! I did not make one originally, but I just made one, so here it is!



As you can see, the pairings that lost their respective match-ups are in red, while the parings that won are in green, and the vote counts are next to each pairing. Many of the match-ups were very close, with only one to two votes deciding the winner! (Some, though, were not so close...sorry, Seiya x Usagi (90s Anime), better luck next time!)

For those wondering why HaruMichi didn't face off with UsaMamo in the finals, its because the two pairings faced off with each other prior to the finals--that's just how the randomized system worked out. Looking at the complete bracket, we can see that 90s Anime HaruMichi lost 6 votes to 9 in the second round against manga UsaMamo, and then SMC HaruMichi lost 5 votes to 8 in the semifinals, again to manga UsaMamo.

Personally, I'm a bit surprised with the results, but in a pleasant way! I love UsaMamo and Chibi-Usa x Helios equally, but it's nice to see the "underdog" pairing, in this case, win against the Sailor Moon franchise's most famous pairing.
