After chatting a bit with Kyralih we thought it would be fun to have a thread talking about the goofy things we did when we were kids that related to Sailor Moon. I can think of so many things...but I'll just name one to get this thread started.

First, I'm 23 years old and started watching Sailor Moon back when the dub aired on TV back in the early-mid 90s. Now, let's fast forward to the year 2000 (maybe 2001).

In middle school my friends and I ~became~ Sailor Senshi, I was Sailor Venus and my other friends were Jupiter, Chibi Moon, and Moon (we were a clique of 4, so no Mercury or Mars XD). Well aside from the anime and stuff, we were quite obsessed with the Sailor Moon Musicals at that time. We would often go over to Chibi Moon's house and watch the musicals in her basement. Transylvania no Mori and SuperS I believe were the favorites at that time. When we would go to Moon's house we would put in our burned Myu CD and dance our parts in the front lawn, we did the same in the backyard of Jupiter's house. It would be a little frustrating for Jupiter and I, because sometimes we wanted to dance the cool Moon and Chibi Moon parts instead of swaying back and forth...but NO. That Moon and that Chibi Moon at the time weren't going to have ANY of that! So...usually when we were super frustrated, Jupiter and I did our own cool things...like a boss.

So yes. That is the first of my many Moonie Kid stories. What about you guys?

Well, I mentioned this already in Kanki's opening thread, but I'mma start over again. My little sister and I loved watching the show when we lived in Canada, but when we moved to the states in '97 it wasn't airing and we never really saw it on TV again before S came on Toonami a bajillion years later. This just would not do. Using our childlike imagination, what we knew to be true of the scouts, and the Adventure Dolls we obtained, we decided Sailor Moon's story did not just stop with the Negaverse and the Doom Tree (we never finished R, so Black Moon didn't count. plus we didn't like Rini, so it extra didn't count).

We played with our Adventure Dolls all the time. Seriously, all the time. We shared a room and would spend HOURS in there on week nights and weekends, just playing Sailor Moon. When our parents came in and told us it was bedtime, we would get into bed, keep the light off for a while, then quietly get up and keep playing. By moonlight. ... or by lamplight when there was no moon. ... occasionally by flashlight when we were caught and sent back to bed.

These dolls went everywhere and did everything imaginable. They lived in our dollhouses - except for Serena. Her room existed inside of my Prism Locket (click here for reference pictures) so she could be kept safe. ... Also because there weren't enough beds in the doll house for everybody and it made it extremely convenient for bad guys to kidnap her. Anyway, she would press the pink crystal and be sucked into the locket, which we represented by a section of the floor marked off with a circle on the carpet.

Some of their not-so-adventurous adventures revolved around them babysitting all of the little dollhouse-sized babies. ... two of which, Olga and Helga* (might've been another Swedish-sounding name), were obsessed with food and constantly tying poor Serena from the dollhouse rafters when the others left her alone for two minutes with them.

Other adventures included grand balls (we made their dresses out of kleenex and tape), kidnappings (as hinted at above), memory loss, banishment, deaths and rebirths, transformed into animals, reverted back to babies, trapped in castles on dark and stormy nights with vampires, battled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, suffered enchantments that swapped scout powers - I can't even remember how many other stories we had them act out, but they definitely went through a lot emotionally.

... and physically. These dolls flew, fell down stairs, were tied up multiple times, taken outside to have forest adventures, were tied and left in trees and birdbaths for hide-and-seek, hit each other - you name it. ... so much trouble can happen to the favorite possessions of girls when they were 6 - 13 year olds (yeah... we stopped playing after I turned 13 and she was 11. ... leave me be).But they were always very much loved.

As you can see, despite our best efforts, they're all missing their tiara, and all but Mars has lost her button. I think I have one moon wand left somewhere, maybe Jupiter's tiara if I remember correctly. ... Also, we're missing Mina and Tuxedo Mask. ... and Lita is wearing Venus's fuku (the adventure just before we lost poor Mina and Darien was a power-swapping escapade. It was a sad say when I found my Mina was lost, alone and confused (Darien might be with her, but he doesn't count), stuck being Sailor Jupiter forever. Poor Mina!). .... and yes, Lita's foot is gone.

Sometime this week I've planned a search-and-rescue mission for Mina and Tuxedo Mask in the closet of my old room. Maybe I'll find Lita's foot while I'm at it. That'd be great.

... as a side note, this is the reason why I my head defaults to "Serena" "Darien/Tuxedo Mask" "Mina" and "Lita" whenever I see the characters or say their names aloud. I must've said them a thousand times each, at least; it's just what comes naturally.

I have no idea why I did not have a bow on my fuku. Btw, I was four here.

-I remember drawing Sailor Moon on the sidewalk--using yellow, red and blue chalk

-I also remember one of my relatives gave me a yellow fabric rose. I climbed on top of my bed just to throw it across the room. Hundreds of times I threw that thing, climbed off the bed to retrieve it only to throw it again

-And of course I watched it after school every day when it was on Fox

OOOOMMMGGGG! XD So cute!

Oh, dear . I would role play Sailor Moon by myself. There were no girls my age where I grew up so I would either play with a boy across the street or by myself. I would take a broom, a stick, a swifter, or whatever and used it has a staff. I would pretend to be Sailor Earth. Or I would played with my little ponies or my Barbie dolls I would make them the Sailor Moon characters.

@Kyralih: YOU FOUND HIM! He is like...a giant compared to Moon bahahah! But he looks in pretty good condition~ Now you have to go find Venus >D

@Yamichan16: I would sometimes play by myself too XD Whenever we went to the lake to swim, I would make big waves and pretend I was Sailor Mercury. That was before I knew Sailor Neptune existed, or I would have for SURE been doing some Deep Submerges

Oh, Also I would pretend be Usagi because on my forehead I have a chickenpox scar somewhat looked like a crescent moon XD Or least I thought it did. It's more of a dot, but it's the middle!!

@Kanki I would also pretend to be characters from different shows when I went swimming in the ocean as a kid. XD

I also have an old scar in the middle of my forehead and I would pretend it was a planet sign, just like the senshis, but reality is actually way more funny. When I was 1 year and a half, I thought there was no problem running under my grandmother's kitchen table, but I had the corner right in the face. I was too tall! I still have that scar today!

Hm, i was like 12/13 when i was really getting into Sailor Moon. I didn't really play with dolls too much anymore. But i did draw. A lot. A LOT. and i made up stories (bad ones). I did want to be the Moon Princess for Halloween once so my mom bought me an Angel costume and we (very badly) tried to make the dress more like Serenity's. I wish i had a picture.

I got into Sailor Moon when I was about 3 from looking for something to watch after I got home from pre-school. I had no idea what was going on, but everything was so colorful that it became a ritual and by the time I was 5 and figured out what was going on, I loved it.

Whenever in Toys R Us stores, I'd dive into the bargain bin to find VHS tapes which later on I'd unfortunately lose. Or look for the dolls that I loved so much. I even made a flimsy little book in second grade about all the Senshi and no one knew what I was talking about. On the play ground I made up a game where I would have my friends and I play as the inner senshi. Pretty sure I was Mars lol.

I used to that "In the name of the moon!" pose in all my family pictures much to my parent's dismay. Even growing up, I was the only one I knew who watched Sailor Moon.

Ah, good times.

Since I got into Sailor Moon when it was first release here, I pretended to be Sailor Moon characters with my friends in the neighborhood I grew up in. What was funny is that all my friends in the neighborhood were guys so we had to make up characters since they didn't want to be "girls". lol!

@Kanki - I tried my hardest to find poor Mina, but i think I need to wait for reinforcements. That closet is waaaaay too full ((it's a 10+square foot walk-in that takes up all of the room under the attic staircase and then a good 4 square feet when the stairs end, stacked with shelves and littered with debris from my sister's time in the room. Like hangers. there are f'in hangers all over the floor, hiding under clothing and innocent looking stuffed animals. My poor feet ;_)

You accomplished what I used to wish I could. I'm rather uncoordinated so all of my "I WILL PUNISH YOU!" poses looked waaaay off and my older sister would tease and mock me into oblivion for it. x.x lmao

AND SO WERE BORN THE SAILOR KNIGHTS. XD When we did play Sailor Moon outside in Canada, with me as Moon, my little sister as Jupiter, my best friends as Venus and Mars, sometimes my older brother and one or two of his friends would play along as bad guys (with an occasional tuxedo mask reference). I think this might've been an excuse to pick on their 7&under year old sisters without any repercussions, but hey, we had fun. I remember one of them being Jadeite... the other being a power ranger. O.o crossoveerrrrr

I've referenced this several times in different parts of GC, but I created two otaku characters (twins), who were an awful mix of DBZ/SailorMoon/Animorphs. Well... I totally acted this out (by myself) in the back yard.

^^' *showed too much geek there* In the Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers, the character Gollum reverted back to his more innocent persona, Smeagol, and Smeagol fought against himself, Gollum, to determine his own fate. Smeagol won, but when he believed himself betrayed by his 'good master' Frodo, Smeagol reared his ugly head.

When I was about 4 or 5 years old, I used to force my friends to roleplay Sailor Moon with me. I would assign everyone their roles based on their looks, since I wanted to be faithful to the characters. I would rp Sailor Jupiter, even though Moon was my favourite. I was always a bossy child. And strange, too. XD

And I used to BEG my dad to buy me a Sailor Moon doll, but he never did. -_-

Well, as I live in Chile, the toys were reeeeally expensive, and my parents never gave the Cutie Moon Rod I wanted ..so, in my kitchen there was a wooden spoon just as the size of the CMR, and I remember sneaking into the kitchen just to grab the spoon and pretend I was Sailor Moon. Needless to say, I always got caught by my mother and the spoon back in its place.

Another one: I also remember that in the mall I used to go backin that time, there was a store that sold anime stuff, music and other thing...and they had a beautiful super sailor moon sticker, it costed 1.000 chilean pesos aprox (something like 2 dollars) and i beg my parents to take some money of that saving account they had for me just to buy it. Of course they said no, and later they used that money to buy me a bike...at first I was a little pissed, but well..a bike it's a bike

[this might seem awkward but...] I would play Twister with the Sailor Moon sheet on my bed.

I got into Sailor Moon when it first aired so I think I was eight at the time.

In middle school, my friends and I decided that we would each be a sailor scout and refer to each other as such. I was Mercury because I was the smartest lol. Now I was so far from her personality wise but everyone else laid claim to the other four. I remember my friend Priscilla was Jupiter and we always sat together in Math, giggling like idiots and taking notes with our Sailor Moon pens, the ones they had at Hot Topic. I had a Mercury pen lol. I also remember my friend Paloma was Mars and I think it was because she had long, black hair.

I had the Adventure Dolls with the light up tiaras (and I wish I kept them because they're hard to find now). My brother had his Batman and Dragonball Z figures so we would have these epic battles in our bedroom. Then we took this box and made a cafe that they would run and heroes would come and relax in. We also had a lot of the RPG toys from Sailor Moon and Power Rangers (cutie moon rod and Saba), so we would also have epic battles in the backyard. Neither of those toys survived lol.

When it was airing in the 2000's, I used to run home from Drama Club to catch Sailor Moon. My friend Joanne had gotten me a set of three mini-binders of Sailor Moon which I don't have anymore either. I also got my pretty faced Moon, Chibi-Moon, Pluto, and Saturn dolls then (which I still have!) I also wrote really bad Sailor Moon fanfics and collected the manga.

I was a bit older when I got into Sailor Moon, since I first started watching it when I was 15 in 1998 so I don't have so much the "kid" antics or whatever... but my friends and I in high school would call each other by the dub names, since that's what we were watching at the time XD We had a Serena, Raye, and a Lita... and I was Avery, haha XD I always liked being the villains. Then after our Raye graduated, since she was in a grade above us, I became the Raye since I loved Sailor Mars back then and had not yet discovered the beauty and grace that is Haruka... and on 4th of July that year I was pretending to do many fire attacks with sparklers X3

trying to get mum to do my hair like hers. It is impossible lol

They used to have these really small dolls of the inner senshi when I was little and I used to play with them. Oh and also I had one of the Bandai toy lockets. Whenever I played dress up with friends I wanted to be Sailor Moon. Lol. If my parents had gotten me more Sailor Moon stuff I'd have probably played with it all.
