@Sailor Jupiter: I've talked with Queenie and she confirmed that the birthday threads are meant to be more generalized than they are to be dedicated to a specific senshi. This is to keep it fair and such. If you would still like to host a birthday thread and come up with a new idea for it, then yay!!! If not, then please let me know so I can open that spot back up ^^

We're still working on a timeline for the start and end dates of the anniversary. It'll either be 3 weeks (the 10th to the 31st) or 2 weeks (16th - 30th)! I will let you guys know what we decide when we decide haha xD

What about the fan-translated R street-fighter game I found? Or will that be too complicated? I was thinking since there's no score in that game, whoever makes it farthest wins or whatnot. (I've only beaten the game as chibiusa since it's the easy mode, so I know what stages come in which order.)

^that being said, playing chibiusa mode wouldn't be allowed, since it's too easy. Does that still sound like a good idea?

So I was wondering that since this is the 'big' fifth anni wouldn't it be a good idea to have a dedicated thread with a countdown for it with a mockup invitation to follow the masquerade theme with "I cordially invite you to the GC 5th Anniversary Bash" (or something similar). I feel that would probably help build up excitement. Just a thought.

I'm thinking of having an invitation sent to all the members, though I'm not sure how to do that, so maybe a post that has the invitation in it and then the thread can be put in one of the boxes up above to build even more suspense. But yes! A cute little invite thing was already discussed at one point! If you want to, since you seem excited about it, you can totally make one up instead of me or me asking the graphics team, if you'd like! No pressure haha

I've decided, how about instead of making the game a contest, why not just have it be a random game to play where everyone gets a bumper? It's kinda hard to figure out ranks anyways, since there's no scoring in it.

I'm pretty good so far! I'm almost finished with the graphics for my second game, and then I just need to get all of the levels ready for my first game, and I'm set! I'll probably post back here later asking for thoughts on how I've decided to run the SM Drops game.

I just gotta get the bumper ready-it's been a long week lol. If anyone has any ideas and feels too overwhelmed to host it, lemme take a crack at hosting it! not because I'm brain dead on ideas or anything lol

Okay, so all I really need help with is decided how to do the points. I came up with two ways to do it:

1. The person with the highest score for each challenge gets 10 points. Second place gets 7 points. Third place gets 5 points. Participants for the challenge get 3 points.
2. All scores for each challenge are added up, and that will be the total score for each player. So if I get 1000 points on a challenge, 3000 points on another challenge, and 4550 on another challenge, my total score for that week would be 8550.

There are five challenges per week, so 15 challenges total.

Five per a week sounds like a lot? Means people won't really have a lot of time to participate? They would basically have to participate that same day when it goes up =o Maybe 3 times a week? That would give a space of at least a day for people to participate. So you could do like Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (ending the Friday one on Sunday, but not posting a new round until Monday). I mean I guess 5 is cool xD And if you want to, I don't have an issue with it, I just don't know how people will like not having much time to submit their scores and such, especially if the rounds are ones that people might not make the first few times, which would spend their hearts.

But I think the basis of this is good ^^ I like the idea of it and it seems like a fair way to do points without giving the first place winner a huuuuge advantage with no one able to catch up to them and such!

I'm giving all five challenges on Day 1, so participants have the entire week to complete them. Sorry for not making that clearer xD

AH! That makes more sense and omg I just realized I didn't say which one I like best haha xD I was thinking the second option is the best. It would hopefully make people feel like it's a little less compete-y and it would be easier for people to be able to catch up to first place if they have a puzzle or something. You know what I mean? ^^

Birthday Game - Chain Story: I liked last year when we did a chain story for the double moon bash. I can make it masquerade themed. Mostly it runs itself.

Anni Game - Madlibs: I'll write up a story and each member that posts will fill in one blank. I can make up a few stories/augment some madlibs stories I find to be SM related.

The countdown is a cool idea, if we're gonna do this then when are we starting to do it? that way I can tell the social media team to start the same day =)


also, are gonna do 3 weeks then? if yes i'm gonna have to plan 2 graphic contest then ._. saw the other thread, so that means I'm gonna plan 2 graphic contests.

Why not just make a Global announcement? I'm sure we could find some sort of countdown html code you can embed in it and get an invitation graphic made to all the members. It would be silly to individually try to send it to everyone, though a mass email could be considered but Queen does that every year anyway so...

I think since you are the activities director it would make the most sense for you to make the actual announcement.

Also I could try to make the invitation graphic since I made something similar for the sleepover last year. I might even still have the psd file and could just edit out some things and voila!
