Humans are too concerned with the likes of their technology and science to remember and appreciate the magic they experienced as children and continue to unknowingly experience every day. No longer do princes climb ropes of hair, no longer are there evil queens seeking to do ill, no longer do spells turn princes and princesses into animals, no longer does love conquer all. In short, the fairytales are fading from existence. Ignored and neglected, the fairytales have lost their meaning in the world, and with no one to bring their intended lessons back to life, they have simply begun to fade altogether. Only one book remains, the book that brought all of the fairytales together: Grimms’ Fairy Tales. With the prestigious authors of this book long gone and unable to champion them, it is up to a special group of individuals to re-ignite the magic that is being forgotten by humanity. To do this, they must enter the strange, forgotten realm of fairytales and spice up two of the most famous fairytales ever known so that they may be re-discovered and loved by humanity once more. Welcome everyone to the first ever New Otaku Only event! These events will be held every now in then, and as the previous sentence states, they are for new otakus only! What does that mean? It means that you may only participate with an otaku character that has not been used in any other roleplay. The purpose of this event is to help roleplayers warm up with their new otakus, and to help those otakus get familiar with other otakus and make some friends! This is a semi-casual event, so profiles are required (they can be WIP, they don't have to be approved yet!), but both profiles and posts may be relaxed. Because profiles are required, all posts will count as one post, instead of the usual 1/2 post that is used in casual events. There is no posting rule, however I would like to ask for you all to be courteous and respectful towards each other when it comes to how often you post (meaning, don't post every time someone else posts, and don't post once every few days). Anyone can join the event at any time, so don't feel like you've missed out!
This event will involve your characters traveling into the realm of fairytales and visiting two of the most famous of the Brothers Grimm's tales (one each week - those will remain a secret!). Your characters will get to spice up each fairytale, adding new twists and turns, while keeping some things the same.
This is a two-week event that will run from Monday, November 16th to Monday, November 30th. If you are present for most of the event, you will get a signature to add to your collection, and it will count towards this month's challenge!

| Hey everyone! I wanted to apologize for my lack of posts recently. With American Thanksgiving being today, I've been taking a lot of time to prepare and get things ready for my whole family to come over xD So because this event ends in 4 days, I'm going to have to cut out the second fairytale from this event. So we will finish up with Rumpelstiltskin and end the event by the 30th. I deeply apologize! |
