Storyline Specific Information:
Queen of Discord: In this RP, Usagi is a demigod, daughter of Selene. After discovering her demigod status and finding Camp Half-Blood, she and a group of other demigods are sent on a quest to retrieve the Apple of Discord and defeat Eris, Goddess of Chaos.

While Usagi is loving her new found relationships with her friends at Camp Half-Blood, she has mixed feelings about her new found powers. She understands that she is a demigod but she is in denial on how she can be worthy of such power and how she can help to defeat Eris. She underestimates her own power and how she can help. Everyone else has such strong warrior powers to her, so her softer powers pale in comparison, according to her. It’s only through ongoing battles that she finally becomes ok with who she is and how she can fight alongside the others.

Personality:
Usagi is a well-meaning but underachieving and accident prone crybaby who is living a normal teenager life. She likes to crush on boys, she loves to eat sweets, and loves to play videogames. But watch out, while she loves to eat, she shouldn’t be trusted in a kitchen unless you want to call 911.

She is also a care-free, friendly extrovert who always sees the best in everyone and always puts others before herself. She inherently believes that there is good in all. As a result, she tries to give everyone a second chance even though it sometimes backfires. Due to her extremely caring heart and naive tendencies, she is sometimes seen as reckless. Even though it might be seen as reckless this behavior is intrinsic to her being and it makes her who she is.

She also always ensures that everyone feels comfortable in all situations and that she comes across as helpful with new friends. She is always the first to make friends and to foster new relationships. People are naturally drawn to her due to her bubbly personality, which helps her make these new friends. While she puts a lot of work into her new relationships, she isn’t as motivated in other areas of her life, like schooling. She is often distracted in class and focuses on the tiniest occurrences in class rather than the teacher teaching up front. As a result of her spaciness / distracted nature this often results in bad grades.

History:
Kenji, who is Usagi’s father, met Selene while covering a masquerade ball at the governors annual ball. He saw her from across the crowd and was instantly drawn to her. They spent that night laughing, dancing and getting to know each other, and by the end of the night they were inseparable. For the following weeks and months, they had a passionate relationship which eventually resulted in the conception of Usagi. Selene made a choice to stay on earth and live her life with Kenji.

Not realizing the toll that staying on Earth and interacting with mortals would have on her, she became increasingly weaker and weaker. Both Kenji and Selene had originally blamed her fatigue on the pregnancy but when Usagi was born they both realized that it was the very fact that Selene was away from her own world that she was slowly dying. At first, she tried to take short leaves back to Mount Olympus and then come back to Earth, but the strain was too much on her body. She couldn’t keep up with the amount of energy necessary to raise a child and to also fight the overwhelming strain living on earth put on her body.

Reluctantly, and with a broken heart, both Kenji and Selene decided it would be best if Selene refrained from her frequent visits for fear that she might perish. Shortly after Selene left Kenji fell in love with Ikuko and they married before Usagi’s first birthday. Her father never told her that Ikuko was not her mother and that she was actually Selene’s daughter. He believed it would be easier to shield her from the truth by lying about her true mother. Kenji had explained to Ikuko that Usagi’s real mother had abandoned them after she gave birth. While it pained him to lie about Selene he knew it was the only way everyone would stay safe. As a result of Usagi being “abandoned”, Ikuko officially claimed Usagi as her own daughter and never thought of her as anything but her flesh and blood. Together, they formed a little family which eventually expanded to include Shingo, Usagi little brother.

As for Selene she made it a point to visit Usagi at least once every year and to watch over her as she grew up. Usagi never realized that someone was watching over her and that every year on her birthday, whether it be at the park, or movies, or restaurant, that a familiar face was always present. Instead, she had a wonderful childhood growing up in the suburbs in California with her perfect little family (minus the increasingly annoying Singo once in a while). She made several friends in and around the neighbour and at school. She always made sure to have a lot of fun and to live life to the fullest.

“Oh god,” Usagi thought to herself as she haphazardly threw on her shoes. “How did I manage to nap for two hours? They’re going to kill me,” she said bending down to take her purse. As she did, she didn’t realize that one foot had slid through the strap. Grabbing the purse rather violently due to her tardiness, she inadvertently tripped herself forward and toppled to the ground. “Ugh…” she said rubbing her knee that hit the floor first. ‘This is absolutely ridiculous,’ she thought as she pulled herself off the ground. “No time to feel sorry for yourself, just book it,” she stated confidently to no one in particular, and swung her purse across her shoulder. Bolting for the door she screamed to her parents that she was going to meet some friends and that she would be back before 10pm tonight.

She rushed down the street making her way to her friends favourite meeting spot: The Arcade and tried to avoid all oncoming traffic. With a few narrow misses with the elderly and couples not paying attention to the Usagi freight train riding the sidewalk, she finally made it to the arcade 10 minutes later. Bursting through the doors she saw her friends sitting at their favourite booth, and dashed towards them.

On her way over she had created quite an elaborate story about how she had lost track of time because of an incident in the park. She thought about all the different parts she’d have to enact about the story and was just about ready to start her historic story on how she overcame “the incident” when Rei, one of her fiery best friends spoke up.

“Why must you always be late and always make such a loud entrance,” she said glaring at Usagi.

“Well Rei for your information I was actually at the park when…”

One of her other friends, Mina interrupted with a mischievous grin spreading across her face. “Usagi, before you start that story you sure you weren’t napping as usual?”

‘Darn it caught already,’ she thought to herself as she looked back to her friends. She’d committed to her little white lie now, she had to continue right? “Um… no, no, I was at the park when…”

“When you fell asleep in your bunny pyjamas at the park?” Mina forced out as she burst into laughter, along with the others.

Horrified, Usagi looked down at her clothes and realized that she was fully decked out in her PJ’s in public. Due to her panicked state when waking up from her nap, she hadn’t even realized that she needed to change back into her regular clothes. Looking back on her run to the arcade, she had received several unwanted stares, laughs and pointing. She realized how ridiculous she must have looked dashing through the streets wearing the worse pyjamas. Always one to be able to laugh at herself, she started to laugh with her friends, as they tried to offer her a jacket and gym clothes to cover up her mishap.

Divine Parent's name: Selene Goddess of the Moon

Magical Equipment/Weapons: Usagi has a small Celestial Bronze shield that is engraved with a large crescent moon in the middle, surrounded by a circle two inches from the border with small stars in the outer rim. The shield if approx. 20 inches in diameter. This shield is used to protect her from oncoming attacks and can also double as a discus that Usagi can throw to her enemies and is enchanted to return to her.

Inherited Skills and Powers: As the daughter of the Titan of the Moon, Usagi’s powers are based on light manipulation and rebirth. She can use the light generated (particular from the Moon) and use this energy to attack her enemies. She collects the light in the palm of her hands and is able to direct the crescent shaped pockets of energies to her enemies. During day time she is always able to drawn from the sun, however, this requires more concentration and energy. She is mostly a skilled fighter at night when it comes to this attack.

She is also able to use her power for rebirth i.e. healing people. If she focuses her energy enough she can fix certain wounds on her comrades and heal rather quickly herself. In addition, this healing nature can also be used towards her enemies if they are willing to be saved. She can speak with them and convince them not to fight any longer, however, they have to be willing participants to do so.

If they are not, she has the power to inflict “madness” on her enemies and make them turn on each other. She is skilled to make them hear and see what she wants, however, this once again requires quite some energy, and can only be used as a last resort.

Lastly, when Usagi realizes that she is a demigod she also realizes that she can read Greek, something she swears she could never do before.

Achilles Heel (Fatal Flaw): Trust and judgement. While this is an honourable trait to have towards friends and family, Usagi is far too trusting of everyone. Her moral compass tells her that there is good in everyone and that everyone deserves a second chance. As a result, she can find herself in odd and dangerous situations, as others can take advantage of her trusting ways and lack of judgement.
