Appearance: If Zoisite isn't the strongest of the Shitennou, he also looks the part, bearing a frailer frame than his colleagues despite his confident exterior. He is 5'6'' tall (1m70) and usually all clad in white. He has white hair that are short in the front and sides, but what is longer along his nape is tied in a loose ponytail. He has a calm facade, arrogant features, and defiant eyes. His jaw is often clenched and he wears a reserved expression. He has long fingers, perfect to play the piano and there is a crystal earring in his right ear. He has silver-blue eyes.

Zoisite usually wears what is his Shitennou uniform, but contrarily to his colleagues, it looks more like a formal attire than a battle armor. His uniform is entirely white and is composed of a single-breasted frock coat with mandarin collar and white pants tucked in the boots that blouse out. His jacket is belted across the waist, has two dragon-like ornaments on his collar, metallic and silver clasps, a geometric pattern in green beading across his right sleeve and a green border of bias. The sash holding the translucent grey cape goes diagonally across his chest and back and is decorated with many ornaments all of them pearl-ish, silver, grey or white. The sash is directly attached to the belt and both the epaulets have intricate designs on them. The cape is attached beneath the epaulet and covers the entire left side of his body – including the arm. It's long enough to trail on the group and is made with light-weight fabric. He wears silver boots.
Personality: Zoisite is loyal to the ones he chose to be, sometimes overly so, but it means he will be there if needed and is ready to die for the person he serves. His life is of no worth or importance if it means letting them die. His loyalty could probably be described as unconditional. It means also, however, that anyone wishing to make him serve them that aren't the one he usually serves might encounter a very different Zoisite. He can be arrogant, defiant, mocking and will humiliate them even if it ends up putting him in danger. He doesn't care about his wellbeing if it can get his point across – even if usually he will try not to die from pissing off Beryl.

He is a good strategist, even though he rarely goes to the front lines himself, but he is able to plan an attack and to make it happen faster than most. He can judge an enemy with precision and he is usually very determined. He can use many ways to attain one goal. Killing the princess? Let's try a car accident, a youma, making the senshi fight amongs themselves. He is creative enough to surprise his opponent and sometimes even his own colleagues.

He isn't a good team player. There was a time where he actually was and felt a part of a family, but the Dark Kingdom having created a schism between them all, he was very secluded and reserved during that time, refusing to share information unless it would benefit his cause and making plans without asking permission first. As an example with Beryl again, being defiant is the only think he could really do to unnerve her since he was still under her curse.

Otherwise, he is not someone cruel. Even when not under a curse, Zoisite prefers solitude and will be more reserved, but instead of defiance, the overall aura would be peaceful. He cares for those he is close to and can learn to forgive or appreciate those he doesn't like as much. He will be duty driven and it might lead him into troubles from time to time. He has a great respect, love and caring for his prince and the Shitennou are like brothers for him. When people disagree with him, he tends to be exasperated more than angry. He will lose patience only when he sees the situation getting really out of control or someone trying to kill his protégé.

He appreciates combats for the art and necessity they are, but he prefers books and music to the games of war.
Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Zoisite seems to be able to no only control youmas, but also to create his own. He usually uses his music to do so. He uses the piano to enhance his psychic powers and help him to send his (or others) consciousness somewhere else. He can also physically teleport people from one place to another. When not using his piano, he can still use many of his psychic abilities, sometimes to keep track of his Youma, sometimes to check on something. He is usually easier to surprise or attack in those moments. Mind control and Youmas are his favored methods of attack as they are safer for him and usually work better. Other than his powers, he usually uses a crystal sword he can materialize at will.

When he materializes only an image of him, he's usually translucent and there can be some interferences. He can usually control his image as he wishes. He can also superimpose images of dimension as if both were happening in the same space when speaking to someone.

History: Zoisite was born on Earth in an era that was erased of Earth's history. He and three other children were destined to become the Prince Endymion's generals. They grew up together and the Shitennou were the first witnesses to the prince's romance up until its conclusion when the Moon Princess destroyed Earth and the moon.

He was awoken by Queen Beryl as a Dark Kingdom's Shitennou where two of his former colleagues were already serving. He remained secluded from them both, enjoying the solitude of his private room where his piano then was. Though he helped both Jadeite and Nephrite when needed he mindlessly was more preoccupied with finding the princess for Beryl. While doing so, he was able to mind control three of the four senshi that were supposedly the princess' guardians, but Tuxedo Kamen's intervention not only forced him to retreat, it shook parts of his mind that had been closed off: his Golden Kingdom memories.

When he came back after Beryl had erased the newly uncovered information, to attack Sailor Moon, he was killed by Venus' powers and disappeared with a clear vision of Prince Endymion.

Back in his rock, he was helpless and had to wait until he had enough energy to take on a physical form again.

Once finally awoken, he didn't plan to kill the princess as previously ordered by Beryl weeks before but to find Endymion instead. He wasn't planning to encounter a prince so stubborn about not wanting to remember anything of his past life. He was beginning to doubt Sailor V was the princess they were looking for but if he had been reserved towards his companions during his first awakening, it was worst now.

His first encounter with Endymion was interrupted by Mamoru's promised and his second try at awakening him was interrupted by Kunzite. Not only was he not awake the first time Zoisite was, but he apparently wasn't set on the same path and goals than he was. Knowing now that Endymion had more than an enemy and for more reasons than he first thought, he tries to contact him again. He meets a wall when he tries to inform Endymion, the man set on staying with the memories of his present life and not be bothered by those of his past.

Zoisite tries to juggle between all of those facts, protecting Endymion the best he can, obeying Beryl to an extent and avoiding the three others who could be more lethal to his life than they should have ever been. At first he tries to make them see the right thing to do, but even bringing Endymion to them doesn't work – and ultimately ends up with him passing out from Beryl's numerous attacks.

He reaches out to Venus afterwards, knowing that the Senshi shares his doubts about the royal couple. They both fear that if they are together again, it will lead to the destruction of the planet by Princess Serenity. They make a thruce, but upon seeing her princess in distress, she fails to respect her end of the bargain and Endymion ends up kidnapped by Beryl. Things escalated from there and when Jadeite finally stabs Endymion with a dark curse, Zoisite makes a desperate deal with Queen Beryl. He will kill the princess and offer his life for Endymion to be saved (with no certitude she would actually do it).

Creating a Youma to kill the princess, his resolve is shaken by Endymion's words that no life is worth sacrificing for his own. After a short conversation, Zoisite changes his mind and reacts quickly enough to save Sailor Moon from the attack of a Youma created by Metallia. He is mortally wounded by the same and dies trying to awaken his companions to protect their prince one last time.
Other Noteworthy Facts:

Even if he keep his end in a fight, Zoisite is physically the weakest member of the Shitennou while he is mentally the strongest.
He is a piano master and much of his powers comes from there.
Once defeated (magic/supernatural powers), he returns to a mineral form until he has enough energy to come back. Under Endymion's rule, he can usually regenerate more quickly.
He can be killed physically, but his spirit might remain after his death if his stone isn't destroyedé
He cannot resurrect himself or heal himself.
Wounds heal as any wounds would unless exterior help is given. Mortal wounds are, in fact, lethal

Storyline Specific Information:
Sins of the Heart: In episode 35, Zoisite realizes that he cannot protect Endymion all by himself, not when he is still connected to Beryl's whims despite being awakened. He reaches out to Venus and suggests they both team up to avoid the past repeating itself in their present. Zoisite gives Venus a music box that would make the princess forget all about his love.

Unlike the episode, however, their tactics work and Mamoru is erased from Usagi's memories. Days pass, and both respective guardians witness their protégé's heartache growing. Zoisite has no idea how it goes for the Sailor Senshi, but his prince never forgot and doesn't understand why the one he loves doesn't recognize him. Unfortunately, Zoisite can't do much for him and even if hurting Endymion hurts him as well, he has no idea how to make it better without Princess Serenity destroying everything again.
