If there is a topic like this already, please delete, BUT. I was just thinking about this while washing dishes. When I re-watched Sailor Moon about 4 years ago (man, it's been that long?), the last time I had seen it was when I was a child. Watching it was weird because I knew I had seen all of it before, but I realized I forgot almost ALL of it. But, there were some flashes of recognition, things that apparently stuck with me when I had watched it all those years ago, besides the main characters, of course.

 - Sailor Moon's S Transformation sequence. When I first saw that again, I was like "SHOOT, I KNOW THIS." It was a weird moment, particularly because it took 90 episodes for me to so vividly recount something. 
- Evil!Professor Tomoe.  He was the only villain I could remember, and it was cool to see him and be like, "Oh yeah, that dude!"
- Sailor Moon's Moon Spiral Heart Attack, I guess I must have been paying a lot of attention to S as a kid.
- Pink Sugar Heart Attack, I liked pink as a kid, thus I remember the hell out of Chibi-Usa in general.
- The Grail. If you had asked me anything about Sailor Moon in the years before I re-watched it, I would said, "She's the girl with that Holy Grail, right?" I so strongly associated the grail with Sailor Moon that I was shocked it came up so late in the show. The only reason I can think of why I thought about the grail so much was because I'm 100% sure that I learned the word "grail" from watching Sailor Moon, and for all those years it hadn't come up in anything else I watched/read.

Also, earlier this month I watched the second half of R for the first time in 4 years, and was shocked that I didn't at all recall La Soldier. I heard it and was like, "Oh this is a nice song." And then an hour later thought, "Wait, how did I completely miss hearing this the last time I watched?"  

Anyways, what were your parts of Sailor Moon that you remember from long ago? It's definitely an interesting thing to think about.

The form and grace of Princess Serenity has always stuck with me and for a long time I aspired to be like her (I have soooo many white dresses). I think the opening sequence, the music specifically, stuck with me for a long time.

There was a big gap from when I watched the Dub version up until SuperS when I was 10 or 11 to when I got into the Japanese version around 16-17. One of the few specific moments I still recalled during the gap of watching the Series was when Sailor Moon saved Saturn after she went into Pharaoh 90's dimension and planned on sacrificing herself to destroy Pharaoh 90. That left an impression on me that few other television show moments did at that age.

Yeah, I loved whenever Serenity came onscreen. I thought a lot that dress when I had to graduate from high school (my school was a traditionally a finishing school, so even now when we graduate we have to wear long white dresses!)

Those moments are very powerful, and when I watched them again, I couldn't believe how much depth and emotion I missed when I was little.

Like Neith, most of S stuck with me as well as the music and voice actors from DiC. Tuxedo Mirage was another one that really suck with me. The movies also left a huge impression with me since I had never seen S or SuperS until after I saw the movies, so I was introduced to the Outers without the weird cousins controversy.

Overall the biggest thing that really stuck with me was Haruka/Uranus and Michiru/Neptune. At a young age I learned love was love regardless and how dedicated they were to protect their princess. Episode 198 left the biggest impression on me with how heart breaking the scene is with their betrayal and sacrifice.

Two moments stuck with me the first time I watched it with English subs:

1) Nephrite's death. Oh god, Nephrite's death. (it's worth pointing out that even the English dub version is rather gut-wrenching. Naru/Molly's voice when she's crying is just... omg)

2) The interaction between Sailor Moon and Sailor Saturn just before she jumps in Pharaoh 90's dimension. The way her voice is so calm and matter-of-fact combined with the music still gives me chills.

Ok, I lied, there's one more that I remembered of just now.
The moment right before Mars killed the last DD Girl  in the episode before the season 1 finale. When it showed the close-up of Mars' face you just know that youma is gonna die.

This was the defining moment where I became a Moonie.

The fact that the main character was a girl. Most of the series I grew up with had male characters in the lead role with the female character as either a sidekick or the damsel in distress. It was also at the point in my childhood that I always favored the female characters over the male ones because they were so few of them.

I also remember re-watching the final battle against Beryl over and over again. Final battles were always my favorite part of shows/games with a villain because the battles were always so awesome/action-packed.

So I'm doing my rewatch now but I've never seen beyond the Trio arc in S (which shocks me, I don't understand why I stopped watching?!).

But on my rewatch, there are definitely key episodes that stand out and episodes where I'm like "Huh? Did I ever watch that?". I'm actually more familiar with the dub, as I watched those episodes over and over when I was younger and only the subs once, so it's mainly dub related (forgive me.. =p)

While I first saw Sailor Moon when it was new on Toonami, I ended up missing alot of the first 2 story arcs, especially the later episodes of R. S and SuperS I saw much more of and somehow stuck with me more. I later bought the DVDs while they where still in print. Anyways, here's what left an impression on me as a kid...

-Luna.
When I turned on the channel to see what this "Sailor Moon" was that was listed in the TV guide, the sight of a talking cat instantly got me interested (as at that age I was a sucker for talking animals, then seeing Serena transform into a superhero instantly got me hooked). 

-First time I saw Day of Destiny, and thinking "something isn't right here..."

-First time I saw Sailor Moon in Japanese. Boy was that exciting!

-The Death Busters, especially Dr. Tomoe. The whole sciencey-ness of these guys just somehow left an impact on me back then, even today. That whole imagine of Tomoe in is lab and the music they normally played.

-Speaking of music, the Outers' theme song! That very track is what got me real interested in background music in films/TV.

-The Toonami intros/commercials

-That creepy bat monster in ep 6.

Oh this is great topic! Sorry I'm so late to it!

What stuck out for me was first and foremost that meatball head hairdo. I remember wondering how the hair was coming out of her balls and how much hair did she have in order to do that.

--Moon's first transformation sequence. I practiced it and practiced it as a little girl. So, flash forward quite a number of years, I'm watching it again and just like remembering old choreography from a dance you did in 1st grade, I found myself doing the transformation right along with her, not missing a step.

--Same thing goes for Sailor Mars' first fire attack.

--The hair. The long, so thick, fills up the screen when its windy hair. That's why I grew my hair. I wanted my hair to do that in the wind. It doesn't. I'm still highly disappointed.

--The final battle with Beryl and that song (Carry On). "My crescent wand, the only light..." That song stuck with me from the moment I heard it and every time I hear it, I immediately think of that final battle and the amazing power of girl power!

--Chibi Moon. When I first watched her, I couldn't STAND her. Watching her now, I immediately balked at her presence, remembering how much she irritated me. But I gave her a grown up fair try, and she doesn't bother me at all anymore. But when I first heard that voice......-shudder---

Well, here's some of my fond memories from the good ol' days:

- Episode 9 where Sailor Moon and Mercury face a time youma. It's pretty much the ONLY episode I remember from the original 1996 airing I watched. And for that same reason it's my favorite episode of them all.

I remember Luna and the animation style (especially those odangos, always the odangos) and how girlish it seemed for me, but strangely it was awesome in it's own way for that very reason. I remember how the intro hinted at Mars showing up eventually which generated some awesome expectation. And finally, I remember the awesome showdown between the girls and the youma, Usagi reverting into a little kid and that mind-blowing alternate dimension thing. It was THAT awesome, sorry if I overdid it. I think I had a tape of that episode cause I remember watching it more than once.

- Later on, on the Toonami re-airing, I remember the S episode where Mina faces Haruka on God-Driving (and that naughty panty shot -_-) 

- Professor Tomoe and how at first I thought he was Gurio.

- The amazon trio looking up the senshi dream mirrors. It was one of those times I rooted for the bad guys as I took a perverted joy in seeing their reactions to their dreams. 

- The amazon trio redemption.

- The episode where Usagi and Rini switch body age. So OMG it's one of my favorites!

- Sailor Pluto and Saturn dying. I hadn't really watched the Stars season too much (even thought it was still SuperS) so I was like "Oh... OK."

- The ending. Only the part where Usagi does a monologue and everyone says it's over.

When I first watched it, it was before the second half of R was allowed to be released in English. What first attracted me was the Sailor Senshi. I started watching it mid season, and was first curious of who the Senshi were, what their powers were, and I found their varied transformation sequences fun to watch.

When I first saw S, I was very concerned that the new enemy was apparently stronger than the "Negaverse". The dub's over use of that term to embody the Dark Kingdom, Ail and An, and the Black Moon Clan made me think that there was nothing more powerful than that. Then these villains who carried a science-theme (over magic), who were not part of the "Negaverse" made me very confused and scared at how Sailor Moon couldn't beat a single Daimon they sent until she powered up. Then I enjoyed the season once seeing Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune for the first time.

so i watched the dub from the beginning. i vaguely remember the episode. i was so shocked the first youma was Naru's mom. The odango hair had me in awe when i saw it for the first time too, it was way too unique. *.* Then later on seeing those shadows that were really Uranus and Neptune, I thought they were so cool to be appearing in shadows out of nowhere. (now I wonder how in the world they got their senshi powers). In the later seasons(S, SuperS, and StarS) I was wondering(and worried) why Sailor Moon couldn't beat a single youma without powering up to a stronger form of herself. The ending had me in a 'wut' moment the entire time, i had no idea why it ended that way. (along with the outer senshi killing each other) definitely had me going 'wut' the entire time.

I only started watching SM last year but years before it i had seen a couple of clips in AMV's and some pictures on the internet. The things that stuck to me where:

Might sound dumb, but I remember so much of the English dub, I'll recite it in my head as I watch the Japanese version or the new dub.

The only thing I really know about Sailor Moon from when I was a kid was the Sailor Moon SuperS movie.

I was watching the dub from day one, and watched the first season and R many times over.  I didn't see a whole lot of S or SuperS until much later, so not much of that really sticks out to me.

-Nephrite's death...OMG so sad.
-When Zoicyte and Kunzite have the senshi trapped under a bubble thing to lure out Tuxedo Mask
-The moment when Usagi finds out she is the princess - so many feelings  And the song that the dub used there was brilliant
-One dub moment in the very end of the Doom Tree arc where Alan called Ann a drama queen during the final battle and she starts screaming "I AM NOT BEING A DRAMA QUEEN!) - not sure why this has stuck
-I wanted to be Chibiusa as a kid.  She was just the cutest thing ever in my mind.
-I may have basically cried when she became Black Lady...at the same time I really wanted her outfit
-Despite not much of S really sticking with me, something about how Mistress 9's hair attacked people really has

When I first saw Amy when I watched it when I was about 8th grade.
Seeing Sailor Moon S Movie(subbed) for the first time-this was when Suncoast was still around and being disappointed that Saturn wasn't in it!

I had rewatched Sailor Moon many times over the years so for me, pretty much all of the show has stayed with me all this time as a big fan.  I think if I had to pick one thing I would have to say the R and S movie.  Those were my first experience with watching Sailor Moon subbed and I still remember all the amazing feels I got the first time I saw them.  It was like for years I thought we would never see the movies released in the U.S. let alone in an uncut subbed form so it was an amazing experience for me the first time finally getting to see those movies that I had wanted to see for years back when they first came out in the U.S.   Just moments like the Moon Revenge sequence, Usagi using the Moon Princess Halation to wipe all the Kisenian flowers at once, all the scenes with Luna in the S movie, have really stayed with me as a fan as I consider the first two movies to be some of the best highlight moments of the original anime.

2. The Sailor Moon Super S
3. Chibiusa's failed attempt of "Pink sugar heart attack" scenes.

Back when? Probably the Dub version of the first series's finale. When I went back and watched the subbed version I was actually kinda disappointed that they hadn't created a new song for the battle against Metallia.

The music of S by far. Since Cloverway kept the original music, I was just getting flashbacks when I rewatched that season.

Also, everything I remembered about SuperS did not involve Chibiusa, which constantly amused me since the season is all about her. I remember the Amazon Trio's knife-throwing boards and the Quartet's magical spheres and Sailor Moon's sky dive to save Chibiusa.

Well... The first time I watched Sailor Moon I was 8-9. Only the first season aired that time, but I loved to watch it lots of times anyway.

For the most remarkable moments...

- That episode where Shingo kicks Luna (I love cats, so I hated that. Even though he was brain washed)
- When they fought that boy Ami liked and Sailor Moon pictured Mercury´s clothes being torn.
- The episode where Luna met Rhet Butler. So funny!
- The revelation of Princess Serenity.
- The final battle.
