Do you like long or short role-plays? In this case, I am not talking about the number of pages, but feel free to discuss that. In this case, I'm talking about the length of an individual role-playing post.

I was once in a role-play that required a minimum of 500 words per post. It was difficult, but it really forced me to expand my writing. In particular, I was forced to enhance my descriptive writing. It was a great learning experience and I wish the role-play was still around. It also felt sort of like we were co-authors of a story, because each post was so detailed and there were only... three? of us in the role-play.

It really depends on how much I'm into the roleplay. With some of my roleplays, I LOVE seeing that the roleplayer(s) I'm playing with have made a long post, but in others, I just kind of want to get through the posts quickly xD I think it depends on how many cast members there are. In 1v1 RPs, I definitely love long roleplay posts.

I am a fan of both long and short ones but if they are long they need to be interesting the whole time. Of course if they were then i would join them but it has to keep my interest...im really bad at being sort of picky on that..

Small note: like miss Pluto said 1V1 RP'S are good long but I haven't had the chance to get into one yet but would love too.

I admit, I love really big posts with lots of thoughts and monologues for me to react to. XD They're especially good in 1 on 1 role-plays, but they work really well in character oriented group RPs too.

I love to have the freedom to choose whether or not I make long or short posts. I will usually prefer to make long posts, but having limits or being forced to have a really high amount of words necessary would probably make me lose any interest fairly quickly. It depends also on how many words my partner makes, how interested they seem about the whole roleplay, etc. I'm not really a fan of unnecessary really long posts as I like when things get to the point, but if they're interesting I can dig it either way.

So I guess it changes with my mood, my partners, the roleplay, the settings, the inspiration, etc. So I have more of an open answer than a settled one.

I like having the option. Sometimes it's nice to be able to get away with a small post when your muse has run off. But other times I could write a short novel and have to cut things out.

90% of the time I prefer long because I don't know how to write short posts generally, unless my partner doesn't give me much to work with. But having a 500 limit does seem like it might take the fun out of it.

It can be difficult for me to do short posts, because I try hard to ensure that they are concise.

I prefer to use 200-250 words, but when beginning a new thread, going up to 500 is quite acceptable; it is my belief that the opening entries of a story should serve as a foundation.

I like doing short ones online if there are quite a few people, though if it's only two or three I enjoy longer ones.

Though in terms of word count, I've always been more of a long word count type of person.
