Welcome to the third phase of The Lunar Chronicles event. These events (yes, there will be more than one!) will be our way of exploring the Sailor Moon canon that was never really fleshed out in any of its incarnations. We will be traversing through time and replaying the characters' journeys from the very beginning to the end, filling in holes that the anime, the manga, the musical, and the live action have failed to fill in for us!

All characters will be canon only, and they will run within a specific timeframe (in this case, one month) as a special event to ensure the storyline is finished.

Every few months, there will be one phase of event held. These will go chronologically, from the past to the future, in the following phases.

Phase I: New Moon - Early Silver Millennium
Phase II: Waxing Crescent - The Beginning of Moon & Earth Relations
Phase III: Waxing Gibbous - The Fall of Silver Millennium
Phase III: Full Moon - Tokyo 20th Century
Phase IV: Waning Moon - Crystal Tokyo

We are now opening the third phase. This event will start on August 1st, 2015 and will run until the end of the month. The goal is to finish this phase within that month. As such, you will have to follow an activity rule of being able to post at least every 48 hours.

Phase III Premise:
The senshi and shitennou as well as Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion have fallen in love. They have nurtured hope that their relationships may forge a peace alliance between Moon and Earth. But as it turns out, Beryl, who has wanted Endymion all to herself, sees what happened and becomes jealous of Serenity. This makes her prime target for Metalia, an evil sun demon. She sees Beryl's blackened heart and decides to use her to further her own goals. She manipulates Beryl by promising her power, power that she would have to steal from the Moon Kingdom. The most powerful item in the universe; the Silver Crystal that belongs to Queen Serenity. And so Beryl, driven by jealousy and ambition, uses her sorcery to manipulate the shitennou to do her bidding. They become her pawns, brainwashed and forgetting their love for the senshi. Only Prince Endymion is spared from Beryl's witchcraft and remains sane.

And tonight, Beryl will finally march with the Earth's armies, with the shitennou in the front lines, to defeat the Moon Kingdom.

This third phase will explore the fall of the Moon Kingdom as we know it. Each shitennou will be brainwashed under Beryl's command. They may show hesitation especially when coming into contact with their senshi pairing (for dramatic purposes), but in the end they will not be able to fight it and will have to be killed by their loved ones, yaaay~

Whether Serenity and Endymion's deaths will follow anime or manga canon is up to the players. But they're going to be dead too. Everything is awful.

Also Venus will totally be the one stabbing Beryl just because Crystal robbed her of that glorious moment.

Rules:
- You must have an approved Advanced profile of the canon character you wish to claim. However, you may claim them here first, then write the profile. You have until the event starts (August 1st, 2015) to get that profile approved - if you fail, your claim will be given to someone else with an approved profile. Because of the nature of the event (heavily based on canon), I need to be sure everyone who signs up understands the character they're playing very well! If you need help writing your profile, I'm happy to help out too! I really don't want this rule to discourage anyone. I promise you it will be easier to get an Advanced profile approved than you think.
- You have to be able to post at least every other day throughout the whole month, because the goal is to finish the phase before the end! This isn't going to be a regular storyline where we can keep posting for a long time, but hopefully we can put in a lot of activity during the entire month and get some pretty great interactions going!

Sign up below with your chosen canon character, I will update the cast list as often as I can. Don't forget to link your approved profile of your claimed character or, if you don't have one yet, to let me know. We will start with one claim per person, but before the event closes, if there are still unclaimed roles, I will open up 2 claims per person.

For this third phase I have cleared all previous claims. Feel free to claim a different character than the one you played in the previous two events. But if you want to keep playing the same one, that's cool too.

Here's all the information you'll need for Hardcore Events. 

Mercury's event is a bit different. Because it requires Advanced profiles, it is subjected to the 100 word rule, meaning every post you make needs to be a minimum of 100 words in this event.  Also because this is an event to stop if from stagnating, you need to post every other day so around 24-48 hours depending on the RP. 

The event is open to anyone who would like to claim a character. Keep in mind that if you do not have your bio finished and approved by the end of signups you will not be able to participate.

EDIT: For Queen Serenity, to whoever does play her, because she is more of a situational character, meaning that she won't be in every scene or able to speak or react all the time, the posting rule time frame is a bit more relaxed with her. 

Cosmos, if you're looking for a character who will be more in the action, I do suggest claiming one of the Inner senshi. EDIT: or Zoisite because Addy can't remember when she writes things what characters are available lol

I have a question: How does Beryl brainwash the Shitennou?

Beryl is a sorceress to begin with, so she uses dark magic, which is even more amplified by Metalia's power (she used to be a low-level sorceress so Metalia's power is what allowed her to accomplish that).

I assume being queen serenity I'm going to have to watch the OOC thread closely for my cues and such.
My profile still hasn't been approved yet, but there's still time before the 1st so I'm not worried about it.

Oooh! I was thinking about that actually. I wanted to bring in all the Outers for the conclusion but figured no one would want to play just the end so I was just gonna write the entire thing myself xD But if you want to do that, I'd love to have you!

I have all the outers but Neptune so if you'd like I can hop in for that as well.

I'd be interested in Mercury, if no one is planning to pick her up for this round. However, if someone played Mercury previously and wants her back, I will not interfere. ♥

We'll sort out the rest of the Outers later unless someone else who hasn't signed up wants to hop on board. Their role will be minor; literally just being able to watch from afar and then the talismans awaken Saturn and the end.

I think it's really one of those situations where you have to really play it by ear and follow along not only in the OOC but the roleplay itself. You an definitely interact with Princess Serenity and be like come daughter let us go somewhere safe and try and persuade her to not find Endymion which she totally ignores you on ;-) Work thing out with I believe Artemis is playing Serenity and see what you guys want to do as well. 

I don't quite know where we're starting in this RP in terms of are the Shittennou already there or does the Moon get a little forewarning about the impending attack so xD play it by ear, see how things go.
