'cause I totally wouldn't mind a scene or something where Endymion used, returned and then is hiding/protecting the key to keep it from her to use and there being some sort of confrontation ^^ ...but that might take a while or whatever u.u))

I personally think that Beryl would be using Metalia's strong magic to be able to bring the troops up there, like open an interstellar portal or something like that. That way it leaves the key which is a family secret probably to Enydmion.

@.@ so sunspot stuff is rubbing me the wrong way a little. I'm like having to pet the little astrophysicist inside of me to keep her tame, but she's a little rabid about it and she won't shut up so here I am typing it out, ^^' sorrysorry

So sunspots cannot be seen though the naked eye without a solar filter in place, else looking at a projection of the sun via mirrors onto some sort of paper, because looking at the sun immediately starts to fry the cones at the back of your eye making it impossible to make out details as small as sunspots. Now I have no idea if cats would suffer the same effects because of their eyes being able to slit closed and whatever XD So no probems with Artemis seeing one, but like x.x no sunspot would ever be able to darken a room, for two reasons: 
1. Sunspots are typically the size of the Earth on the surface of the sun - the biggest ones might reach just over Jupiter size, but that size is still so small compared to the sun that if a solid object like Jupiter were to pass in front of us, we'd only notice a small difference in the sun's brightness using specific luminosity-measuring devices, never actually notice any darkening outside of scientific instruments (except during total or annular eclipses, but that's like the entire sun darkening out and it's still not entirely dark around you when that happens) but a planet cannot be compared to a sunspot because...
2. sunspots still emit light, they do not block it. They do not create shadows. They're just a marginally cooler portion of the sun's surface - still all sun, still shining plasma, just a tiny bit cooler. If you picked up a sunspot and took it off the surface of the sun, it's still glowing and emitting bright eye-scorching light.
 
So at best, if it's a sunspot that took up the entire surface of the sun, the sunlight would just look weaker, like a thin cloud passing overhead at worst. Sunspots themselves don't get that big though - their difference is so marginal it's invisible to our eyes @.@  in order to cause a shadow you need a solid object that reflects light back in the opposite direction x_x

  I mean I would love to see it change so I don't see a description of an eclipse when referencing a sunspot ((x.x astronomy-wise it'd be like seeing a snake and calling it a cat)) but unless Mercury wants it changed (to make the attack more of a surprise or more scientifically accurate or whatever) I'm not ordering a change.

@ Cosmos - it's up to you like the others said, but if you want to, perhaps you could tone it down a little bit, similar to what Artemis noticed (he could see a little something but he wasn't actually sure and easily dismissed it at first glance). Maybe she could notice that same black spot with a sense of uncertainty as well (and yeah Kyra said human eyes can't do even that but maybe MAGICAL HUMAN BEING EYES CAN OKAY xD)

Or if you want to go a different path, maybe the queen had dozed off at the throne for a bit and this was all a nightmare-slash-premonition or something. Ooooh yes, she dreams, everything is so darker, solar eclipse maybe, then she wakes up, looks at the sun and feels like something is off.

Oh oops getting carried away ^^; Just suggestions so that the scene goes more smoothly - since what you described seems pretty drastic, I have a hard time imagining Artemis going to the people of the moon being like "hey you guys did you happen to notice a total solar eclipse? no? ok cool" xD

I would echo these suggestions. I mean, you didn't break any rule or anything (except perhaps science lol) but there is still the encouragement to try and make it more realistic even though we live in a magic-infested world ^^ It's up to you ultimately, I'm not going to be harsh about this until you start discovering too much than what canon implied they knew about the attack.
