Alright! It's time to figure out what we're going to do for the Cherry Blossom event! 

Obviously it'll be focused around flowers, they don't *have* to be cherry blossoms! It also mentions that it's celebrated with music, so if anyone has any events/games that could be fun that are focused around music, be sure to list it below! I know a few things have already been suggested, but it doesn't hurt to post them again here just in case someone didn't read them. If you want to host an event/game please let me know below! Since this is a mini event and we have a lot of people signed up to help, I'd like for everyone to have at least one event that they host. You can suggest more than one, but please only choose one to actually host. Once everyone has one event to their name, you can take on another one if you wish ^^

I'd like to do a colouring contest

Maybe we could do a graphics contest? And there's always the famous cake decorating contest as well. 

How about a guess the flower contest, or guess the Sailor Moon song?

We could, just keep in mind this event is only going to be a week and a few days long =o And I'm happy I thought of the cake decorating game last year, and it's fine to use again, but I'd also like that not evvvery event has the same kind of events =o So try to think outside of the box =D That being said I did find this: http://www.girlsgogames.com/game/blossom_cake_decoration It gives you a score based on how fast you do it and people could submit their first score or do it three times and average it and such so that could work!

Well I think it would be best if maybe there was some type of list that listed all the contest/games that people usually suggest during events (like crossword puzzles, word searches, BINGO, art contests, etc.) and we could have a system where certain games are used every other event to avoid repetition and it also avoids people suggesting events that have been recently used. That's just my suggestion though...

ETA: On the wiki for the Cherry Blossom festival it said they have hot air balloons during the parades so I found this design a hot air balloon game. And this is a regular balloon popping game.

I would like to help out in this event.

Since there's the music theme, perhaps a Karaoke event?

Also, this is just a suggestion: Handmade cards contest with a flower theme? Contestants could either scan or take a photo of their card.

So I was looking around and doing some research on the Cherry Blossom Festivals around the nation and San Francisco has this pageant called the Cherry Blossom Queen Program. It's for young women that want to enter and learn skills in leadership and public speaking and all this stuff and then use what they learned to compete for the title of Queen.

So I was thinking why don't we let the members take a vote, and choose from the Senshi who could be GC's Cherry Blossom Queen. The poll in the thread would be for who they would vote as "Cherry Blossom Queen" and then they would make a post about who they voted for as Queen and then also list 4 other Senshi that would be in their court. It could be a combination of any Senshi, the Solar System Senshi, the Starlights, Chibiusa and the Amazons, any good senshi within the series is fair game. 

At the end of the voting the poll would determine the queen, and then the host of the contest could go through the posts and tally up the most voted members of the Court.

Then once the Queen and her Court have been announced, they can "parade" around and give out thank you prizes to everyone that voted in the competition. I'm thinking we could give a small amount of points out, and then Merc or Mary could make us a siggie for the Queen and a bumper for each member of the Court and they can say something like "Thank you for voting for me as the 2015 Cherry Blossom Queen/Court Member" or something like that. And then the "parade" can consist of the host PMing everyone that voted with the siggie and bumpers and letting them have them as a thank you reward xD 

I think it could be kinda fun and it would let people put together their own "dream team" so to speak xD 

If we could do this I would really love to be the one to host it

So I"m guessing that's a no go on the colouring contest then?

I've been kinda brainstorming all day, and I came up with a game I would like to run, but it might be a long-shot. I got this idea from Scene-It, which is a board game. 

Basically, I would post five clues that would lead to a type of flower (or some other spring category, I dunno). Players would post their guesses as to what the flower is in the thread, and the first person to guess it correctly gets the point. 

Also, are we going to do like a cherry blossom hunt?

The only thing that comes to my mind right now is this:
According to the BINGO queue I'm the next host, so if I'm not mistaken I'll host the game in May. Maybe it's possible to combine it with the Cherry Blossom Festival? Means that I could use spring-flower-themed calls instead of the usual SM related calls and take a more spring-ish BINGO card? I don't know if it's possible but this was everything that came to my mind.

I'll think of more ideas the next days xD

@Yunie: Those could both be pretty fun! I'm glad that you guys are taking the time to research it a bit and come up with ideas based on what they actually do ^^ Either one of those would be fine dear!

@Neptune: Yay! Glad you came to join us, sorry it took so long to add you to the group >.> Mabad xD a karaoke event could be nice! I'm not sure how many you could host in a week and a bit's time, but if you'd like to, then be my guest! ^^ They're always fun to listen in to! The card idea could be cute as well, though I've learned that a lot of the real life things, like dressups and coloring/drawing, contests don't get as many people entering for some reason =o So if we do that maybe we could find some type of cool card maker online or something! But a good idea to keep in mind!

@mysteryloveandjustice: I reallllly like this idea! It's cute and original! Reminds me of Harvest Moon when they did the Flower Festival ^^ If you're okay with setting all that up, it sounds like a bit of work o.o, then please do! Sounds like it'd be fun ^^

@Addelyn: Of course you can host a coloring contest if you'd like ^^ Just be sure that the image or images you pick are easy to medium difficulty(since not everyone's an artist =P) and that it matches the theme!

@Miss Moon Rose: That sounds like it could be fun, as long as no one looks them up! Again, if you're willing to set that all up (sounds like a bit of work also xD), then be my guest! What do you mean by cherry blossom hunt? Can you elaborate more on the idea? It sounds like it might be fun, but if it's going to be what I think it is (basically hiding images of cherry blossoms around the site for members to find) we just did something kind of like that for the Easter event =o So not sure people will want to do it again so soon!

@Princess Moon: That could work if that's what you'd like to do ^^ I can get a hold of Seren or Light and ask them if it'd be okay =]

Really happy with all the ideas you guys are having! Keep it up! I also thought of something a little silly that we could do, but it could be fun ^^ We could do on of those 'Guess how Many are in the Jar" type of things xD We could have some graphic savvy(LIke Merc, Mari, or Yunie =P) get a picture of an empty jar and fill it with individual cherry blossom petals, and then people could guess how many were in it! Then we could have bumpers like 'I guessed correctly!' and things like that? Just an idea for something silly and fun xD

Hmm...I'll have to think about it some more. I'm not too sure how much time I'll have on my hands because of school and finals xD 

Yeah, I was just kinda thinking of a hunt similar to the egg hunt, but you do have a point. 

Maybe I could do a jigsaw puzzle contest? It'd be easier for me to manage, and I can save the idea I had for a future event where there's more time.

Alyssa, if you don't have the time to plan it all on your own I'd be more than happy to help out! After all, your idea really sounds like fun

I'd also being willing to help out with a few hints for flowers that you could just post up and such! But you can totally decide to change your hosted event and keep the idea for another time if you'd like! Let me know what you decide ^^

Okay, for the Guess the Sailor Moon Song, I could post a couple of lyrics or a small hint, and then people could take guesses. I'd give a category too, like if it's from the Anime, a Musical, or PGSM. Every couple of wrong guesses, I'd put up a new hint until someone got it right.

That could work JTC, just try not to make them tooooo hard. I know Neptune hosts a Guess the Song type game and sometimes the round would last a long time because no one could figure it out xD Since this is just for a small event and for fun and such, try to not make them too hard so people don;'t get frustrated!

Diana - I should be able to host two (or maybe three depending on demand and time of the day) karaoke events during the festival, most preferably over the weekend.

@JTC - I don't think it'll be any sort of problem, but since Neptune usually hosts a Guess the Sailor Moon song, it might be nice to just make sure she's okay with it first! I don't think it'll be any problem though! So I'll mark you down for it ^^

@Neppy- Sounds great!

@Princess Luna and dreamsinpink - You guys need to figure out an event to host since you signed up and I haven't heard anything from either of you that you won't be able to do it anymore =o If you need help figuring out some type of game/event to host, then don't be shy to ask here for some ideas!
