Okay so I'm a HUGE Joss Whedon fan! I absolutely love the whole Buffy Series and I have it all. I'm just curious if there are any other Buffy fans on the forums.

Buffy is my biggest obsession. It has honestly helped me through many tough parts of my life and made my high school years a lot easier. I have a huge collection of novels (a whole bookcase dedicated to), toys, shirts and ..... you get the picture. I don't have many friends IRL that are as into it as me. So it would be cool to make friends to talk and share my love  


Sailor Selene - Do you follow the comics at all? I'm completely up to date

I haven't followed the comics, unfortunately. Are they good? I love meeting new Buffy fans! Buffy has gotten me through some rough times too and I've gotten quite a few friends into it.

Hahaha ... how do I answer.
Season 8 comic is VERY hard to get into and is actually horrible  (but still has good moments)
Season 9 plus tie in With "Angel & Faith" season 1 - go back and forth. When one is bad the other is amazing etc.
SEASON 10 HOWEVER (current season) for me has been AMAZING.

 Even if you don't plan on reading the comics I would highly suggest at least trying season 10. We could always have a Usa the rabbit king Buffy comic book club Skype night. ABRIDGED. Ill go through each issue from season 8-9 quickly. Showing important pictures and help you get through it fast  ^^

It's been on my list of shows to watch for quite awhile. I've watched Angel from time to time so I figured I might as well watch Buffy. 

Buffy is really amazing! It's how Angel got started and Sarah Michelle Gellar is wonderful!

Ooh also Rabbit-King, my dad just got me Buffy season 8 omnibus for Christmas so I'll be reading it soon.

I know this thread is old but Buffy is the best. And I'm really liking season eight so far. I really just wanna get to the newest season; the art style looks awesome!

I know, old thread. But I haven't seen this thread before, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer is my favorite show ever. Great characters, cool stories, amazing plotlines. I did also follow its spinoff, Angel, and it was good too. Buffy helped me get through some tough years in school and will always hold a special place in my heart.

I want to start getting the Buffy seasons on DVD but A:dont have money and B: no where to put them our DVD thing is sorta full

I actually just recently watched both the Buffy and Angel series.  It was my first time to actually see it all the way through (I only remember seeing random episodes here and there when I was younger).  I definitely prefer Buffy over the Angel series, it was fantastic.  Every single character is just so love able. 

Did the show come first of the comics? I'm hearing a lot about comics in this thread lol. I've been curious about this franchise for a while, and I know my mom was fairly into the show when I was in elementary school.

If I'm understanding it correctly, the comics are a continuation after the show ended.  I haven't had a chance to read any of the comic though.

I need to continue my rewatch of Buffy. I got to the season where she started college and then just...stopped. I really liked it so far although I have a feeling I'm going to end up preferring the first two seasons over everything else. Also Buffy's mom sucks and team Buffy/Angel is where its at. Spike who??
