Modified from the “Mafia Gameplay Rules”
1. Don't edit or delete your posts. While this is a roleplay, it also functions similarly to the Mafia game itself. What you have your character says needs to stick, and it’s not like you can rewind a scene, close your character’s mouth and whisper something else for them to say in their ear. This rule stays.
 
2. Don't attempt to copy and paste or screenshot any messages from me in attempt to prove your role. You may show your invitation image, and attempt to convince others of the information within the background I give you, but none of these shenanigans. I’ll deny it to the end and accuse you of being a screen-shot editing mastermind.
 
3. Don't discuss the game outside of this sign-up topic, the Clue topic, or any special chatrooms you are assigned to. Aka no cheating.
 
4. Make your Accusation votes Bold and Red so that they look like this: OMG URANUS DID IT!

6. Be active. If you choose not to have your character speak in your posts that's fine but still vote and still use your detection skills if you have any. If you do not have time to play this game (and be able to dedicate at least 20 minutes a day to it) then don't sign up.
 
7. Once you have been KO’d you’re dead. No more talking. Sorry. I hope you kept up a steady conversation flow with the group or at least your investigation partner. … also I hope your investigation partner wasn’t the killer. OH WELL WE’LL SEE~
 
8. You can claim to be whatever role you want but you must back up your claim with proof if you want people to believe you. Especially if someone else claims to be the same thing. Wait for good times to reveal yourself and don't jump the gun.
 
9. THIS IS NOT A ROLEPLAY. The characters and events are only to add flavor and confusion to new players. Do not attempt to roleplay. AHA. 9. THIS IS A ROLEPLAY. The characters are there to add flavor, the events attempt to point you towards the killer. ATTEMPT TO ROLEPLAY. You don’t need to have 100+ word posts, you don’t need to create full sentences, you can just *runs into the room and sees the dead body* OMFG THEY KILLED CHIBI MOON, THOSE FISHTERDS! *faints*, but remember to try to stay somewhat in character. I’ve kept personalities tight to what we know of our senshi to help!
 
10. During the lights-on times you can discuss ideas and suspicious activities with the whole group and point fingers at who you think the “murderer” is, and that “murderer” can be tied up for the next lights-off phase, or knocked out for the rest of the game. When you split up into partners to search, however, you can only speak to your partner(s). Lights-off phases will come randomly, and that’s where some people will discover clues and others will be KO’d. We’ll get the hang of it together.
 
11.  During the lights-off phase the “murderer” will have an opportunity to K.O. a party guess, the opportunity decided on a random roll. Also, random party guests might stumble across a clue, which they can choose to share with the group or hoard to themselves.
During the lights-off phase, you can choose to write a passage in your character's diary about the recent events going on. You can write clues you find in there if you choose.
 
12. A player’s role will be revealed through clues after they’ve been K.O.’d ((because it’s not like after someone gets knocked out they drop a character sheet full of information. … their diary would be found by someone else or something. SO EVEN AFTER YOU KNOCK SOMEONE OUT YOU WON’T IMMEDIATLEY KNOW YOU’RE SAFE UNTIL SOMEONE FINDS THEIR DIARY.))
 
13. Some people may be liars, some people may be mean, some people may be stupid and some people may be whiners. Regardless, this is a game where how you act is a tactic. Think carefully before you post and don't take offense to anything that is said here. This is a game.
 
14. There can and will be times where no accusations are made and no majority is reached, so no one will be tied and KO’d.
 
15. If there is not a majority reached, it can be decided that the person with the most votes be tied up for the night, but not knocked out.
 
16. If there is ever equal or more “murderers” to party guests, the “murderers” will win.
 
17. I hate when people cheat. Cheating is defined however I want to define it. If I believe you have cheated, I will SHARPIE THE WORD 'CHEATER' ON YOUR FOREHEAD AND KICK YOU OUT OF THE MURDER HOUSE. 

Note to Players wrote:

Warning: Clue might not be as cutthroat as Mafia as there are personality buffers as far as characters are concerned, but it is still a game with a high potential for intensity, as it involves accusations (sometimes wild and unfounded), strong words, and even, at times, aggression towards other characters. This is an official note of caution that this game is for people with really thick skins that fully understand that what happens in game stays in game and anything that occurs in that game thread is not a reflection of the player or of the forum, just the nature of the game itself: in other words, there is a giant "No personal offense meant" tag across everything mafia-related. 
 
If for any reason you believe this game might not be the game for you, sit out and watch a few games before deciding to sign up.

if any player starts acting out of line (even within the normal scope of reactions to the game) it is understood that the game will be locked for a short period of time, wherein the players involved can cool off and apologize, or decide it's too intense and back away from the game thus creating an auto-lynch situation. By signing up you agree to these terms and conditions, knowing that if further actions need be taken you will be banned from playing Mafia in the future.

Activity Rule:Very simple: Post at least once every 36 hours (that's every day and a half)or you're automatically KO'd. 
Why? Because there could be multiple night phases during 36 hours and you have people depending on you, no matter what your role. ... because in this game everyone has the opportunity to be cop depending on the roll of a die.
