| Hello everyone! I'm Meg and I'm 23 years old and a recent college graduate who happens to live at the beach. My degree is in marine biology and in about a year I'm going back for my masters in teaching. I have five pets; three dogs and two cats. My hobbies include reading, video games, oil painting, and driving my car. Love my car. ^0^
I'll admit I am totally bad at creating unique screennames for myself on forums, so if you happen to recognize it (probably from either Playfire or the Tomb Raider forums), hello again!
I started watching Sailor Moon when it began airing here in America, so I was seven years old at the time. I remember waking up early before school to watch it and running home afterwards (later on in the years of course) to watch it on Toonami. I had all those ugly Irwin dolls and none survived. Venus met a terrible fate at the hands of my brother. I had some of the pretty faced ones too and the only ones who survived were Moon, Chibi-Moon, Pluto, and Saturn. I still collect some of the dolls so I've ended added pretty faced Uranus and Neptune and then my Japanese dolls; beauty change Eternal Sailor Moon, and the three Sailor Starlights. I also had the RPG toys and like my brother's Power Ranger RPG toys, they ended up dying in an epic backyard battle.
Sailor Moon is still my favorite anime and I have a love for PGSM. I started watching Sera Myu (got my hands on some of the tapes ^-^) and am trying to get the series on DVD. I never got a chance to finish the manga and most of my issues got lost (by friends). Only volumes 2, 11, Supers 2 and 3 still survive. I really need to get the new issues lol.
Outside of anime I love watching reality tv, mostly Project Runway, and scifi shows like V and Doctor Who.
I came across this thread via Google. I looked up the Queen Serenity debate and here I am! But yeah, that's pretty much it.
Oh yeah, my favorite scouts are Moon, Venus, Mars, and Starfighter. |

| Hallo there! Welcome to the Forum! I am so glad that we were able to snag you. The Queen Serenity thread was one of the first threads I posted in too -- so very interesting! Marine biology is such an awesome field -- I love marine life so much. I am rubbish at biology and all that so I never majored in it, but those are my favorite kinds of subjects to watch on Discovery. This may sound like an ignorant/stupid question, but is there a specific aspect about marine biology that you really like? What would you want to teach when you go back to school to get your masters degree? Ooh, I like Project Runway as well! I have not been able to watch it so much because of school but I always try to catch up on the episodes. I am rather enjoying this season. Do you have a favorite season? |

| Hello there! It sounds like your dolls had the same fate my dolls had - though, mine weren't Sailor Moon dolls, they were Spice Girl dolls. I was brutal when it came to dolls. >< I love it when somebody else likes PGSM. I love the live-action series, cheesiness and all. ^^ Again, it's great to have you here! |

Ooh, I like Project Runway as well! I have not been able to watch it so much because of school but I always try to catch up on the episodes. I am rather enjoying this season. Do you have a favorite season? It's not a stupid question at all. Out of everything I studied, I enjoyed learning about managing fisheries and keeping track of fish stocks. Since you have to know about the biology of the species and their habitats, it kind of utilized a great deal of what I learned. I also like showing people how they need to change things in order to protect the environment. We got to go out into the field a lot to take samples and such of boats, so that was fun too. Disections were pretty neat too. I loved season two of Project Runway. Nick Veros is still my favorite designer of all the seasons and his blog on the series is hysterical to read. I'm not really enjoying this season so much with the lackluster designers and all their drama. But if I had to pick a favorite, I'd go with Viktor or Anya. Bert has also grown on me as well. - Sailor Andromeda wrote:

Again, it's great to have you here! I had those Spice Girl dolls too! I don't remember what happened to them though. Probably the same fate as the Sailor Moon ones lol. Most of my dolls ended up that way. Funny how my brother still has most of his action figures. PGSM, although campy, was just so much fun to watch! It was a different take on the series and I'm just a sucker for Jdramas in general. Venus and Mars totally made the series for me though. I'm glad to be here. |

| Love your screen name, IV. It actually automatically made me think of a short science fiction anime by the same name, though. ^^ "Innocent Venus."
Fantastic to meet another animal lover, too! What are your pet's names?
And I am curious, what books/video games are you favorites? That's also my favorite two hobbies. ^^
Sad fate about your SM dolls, though. I hadn't ever collected any, but it sounds like you had all of them; and that most of them got the raw end of the deal. Are they fixable, by any chance?
Once again, though, welcome to the forum! *huggles.* ^^ |

| Hi! Same age, doing some teaching, recent graduate of college - we've got some stuff in common xD I was pulled in after googling images from the Silver Millennium and found them in a theory page about Endymion's parents. ... I can't draw my way out of a paper box though. ^^' See you around the forums! It's great to have you! |

Once again, though, welcome to the forum! *huggles.* ^^ That's actually where I got the name from. I owned one DVD of that series when I was coming up with a forum sn a few years ago and I thought it sounded cool. As for pet names, my saluki/borzoi is named Vash the Stampede, the whippet/greyhound is named Spike, the collie is named Ariel, the oldest cat is named Mogie, and the youngest cat is Cloud Strife. I enjoy reading a lot of true crime books so I have a few of them. I love the Vampire Chronicles and read those over and over again too. The rest of my favorites consist of movie adaption books. I love seeing what's different from the final movie scripts! For video games my favorite series is Tomb Raider. I have played nearly all of them and loved them so much! Sadly none of those dolls are fixable. I had the light up tiara ones and they got beheaded and hair cuts. They were in such bad shape I ended up tossing them when I moved ten years ago. The only ones I could save were Moon, Chibi-Moon and Pluto because I was a bit older when I got those. They just needed new gloves and some hair repair. My mother always reminded me how hard it was to get Saturn when she came out (she had to import her from a comic store in Canada) that I just always took care of her. Here's a picture of my dolls! Thank you for all your warm welcomes! |

welcome to the forums ^_^ Collecting the dolls can be so expensive, especially the further into the series you go. The Irwin ones are pretty cheap (except for Princess Serenity and Super Sailor Moon) and any of the SuperS/Sailor Stars dolls from Japan can be a pretty penny. Totally worth it of course! ^0^ There's a livejournal community called SeraSell you should check out. Thanks for the welcome. - Brit-chan wrote:

The only thing of Venus I have is the PGSM gashapon. I want more Venus stuff! You are older than me lol. I'm turning 24 in February. Yay for Doctor Who! Thanks to that show I have such a crush on David Tennant it's not funny (and who doesn't anyway? ) - Lady Galaxia wrote:

Glad to have you here dear ^^ Thankies! ^__^ It's a shame the show isn't that good this season. It's too much drama and too many inconstancies in judging and the challenges are a bit dull. |

| Oh yes! I'm glad I'm not the only one... I actually quiet watching because it was horrid when the show was on Bravo.. which is why Heidi ended up moving the show to Lifetime, but I agree... Josh annoys the hell out of me..and none of them are that good any ways... plus all they do are team challenges.. -_-

I still love Tim Gunn. I watch his show post-vids and read his book, and I get the impression that he just acts for the show now. He doesn't really like the direction it's gone either. |

I'm disappointed to hear that this season isn't all that great, though. It just started airing in Canada about two weeks ago, so I haven't watched much of this season yet. Hm, I hope it gets better!
