I actually have some mixed feelings about this Musical, one can agree or disagree on whether was it good or not, but after all, it's the music we should be focusing on. I'm listening to La Soldier right now, and sorry, but none of the songs in La Reconquista were as epic or amazing as that. They weren't bad but any means, but kind of forgettable? Like, I seriously don't recall any of them right now except for "We Are The Pretty Guardians" and that's probably because they played it quite a few times. Of course I'm not trying to downgrade La Reconquista as a whole, but the music was kind of a flop, in my honest opinion. Though, I really enjoyed Jamie's singing, she has a beautiful voice <3
Even if their voices weren't the best, can I say that the girls were completely amazing in their characters? They were absolutely perfect! Especially Ami and Venus, but I also liked Zoisite a lot and that never happened before xD He's so annoying in the Anime and I barely notice him in the Manga but the actress did a fine job portraying him The AmixZoi scenes were my favorite by far but I loved the Silver Millennium ones, as well.
Also, I was so, SO unsure about having a woman playing Mamoru but Yuuga nailed it! I didn't fangirl over her but I can understand why lots of people do xD (Mochi shall remain as my favorite Myu!Mamoru for all of eternity <3).
And so I don't repeat what has already been said, I agree with Tori on this:

I mean, the music wasn't as good overall, but IMO some of the songs were absolutely amazing. There are definitely two or three that aren't very good, but I can't stop listening to the music because I love it.

Lol, Mamoru tries so hard, but he has built a strange mentor-mentee relationship between him and Usagi. Then again, must be hard to date someone significantly younger than you. And Usagi doesn't help her case with all of the mocking vocal tones! :usagi:Girl, you amuse me!
Also, the baseball scene = irony. Of course, Usagi, Mamoru would never turn against you and he'll always be there. Let's ignore the prevalence of these occasions in the future, because hindsight is 20/20.
The scene after that is funny, too! All the girls support and protect each other from the men, but Minako goes fishing for compliments. Ami has a priority list? LMAO! I can't laugh too hard, because I have one, too. But, in my defense, it is not numbered.
Ami is freakin' adorable. Counting the numerals of pi to calm down? Wonder how long she'll go for. She might set a new record for counting the digits of pi if she stays that nervous.

It doesn't sound like Satomi has improved much to me. And this song is still so bland... *sigh* I want to like the new musicals but its so hard.
Still I love the Mars, Jupi, and Venus. I think they are the better of the group. ^^

I really think the new-Mercury is adorable. I can't get over her. I will have to agree with Small lady though. I haven't watched the other Myus but from a musical standpoint the songs are somewhat bland. They aren't really...exciting I guess. I hope they let Yuga sing more in the new Myu. All the songs she's featured in seem to be some of the best from La Reconquista.

I do agree that the old musicals have more 'charm' but I really love all these new Myu actresses for some reason. They're excellent as their characters (and as a group really work well whereas with the old Myu I feel that only one or two actresses would stand out at a time in each 'generation/group') and speaking of, I also think the characterization is better. The flaw of the old Myu is that I feel there's little character focus/development, but it's not present in these new ones which I'm happy about. However, it's true that the songs are less memorable/great compared to the old ones.
Nothing is perfect, I guess. ^^ I like to just enjoy the best of both worlds.
