Nectaris looked between them, vaguely upset. It wasn't that she was upset at them for not recognizing her, that was certainly to be expected in a parallel universe. It was just painful to be seeing their likenesses, their own voices she knew so well saying such words. She heard Endymion telling Serenity she was confused. Certainly a half truth and half lie. Mama would have been rather irked if she knew her father was doing that. Mama never had liked half truths, though Nectaris could understand the necessity for them sometimes. Papa had taught her that.

She shifted indecisively for a moment before she did her curtsy and introduction again for the benefit of Serenity.”I am Princess Nectaris Serenity, heir to the Moon throne and Silver Millennium, daughter of Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion of the Moon.” she smiled a bit faintly. She knew her mother would recognize the name as one of the names of the seas on the Moon. The Sea of Nectar, if she recalled her selenography lessons. Sometimes her Mama would call her Sweetness because of her name.

The memory made her smile grow a little as she looked up at them, then it faded again. She sighed, knowing the protest to come and decided to stop it ahead of time, so she lowed her mask again off her face, once more revealing her glowing crescent mark and full face.”I'm not from this place, but I am your daughter.” she spoke softly. Suddenly Yue came up before her, grabbing her shoulders gently.”Nectaris! What are you doing, put your mask ba- Serenity?!” he cried, being stopped short as he saw the face and silver hair, then shook his head, groaning.

”Oh god, Nectaris what have you done? What did you tell them? What did she tell you?!” he looked at them frantically, then looked around, fearing that Pluto may appear to strike him down or the very walls may begin crumbling now. Nectaris sighed gently, looking up at him.”Uncle Yue! Calm down, they already know. Papa's known for a few minutes now, so it hasn't hurt anything. I tried to tell you I understand where we are, and there are but are not my Mama and Papa.” she explained to him patiently, seeming more the adult than the child to her uncle.

Venus looked at Jupiter and said, "Yes it is wonderful. I have never seen such a huge dance before." She glanced around and looked back at Jupiter. "I'm trying to find a guy to dance with. Serenity can't be the only one to have fun tonight! Want to find a guy as well?"

Jupiter looked back at Venus and replied, "I would love to find someone to dance with! Should we kick up our heels and go on a man hunt?" She felt herself begin to smile and was sure Venus would be up for the chase. The godess of love and beauty never turned down a challenge at finding love.

Venus laughed and grabbed Jupiter by the arm. "Of course, dear! I am the goddess of love and beauty! The men here will find me irresistible and I will make sure they find you irresistible too!" Venus and Jupiter then went off to find some good looking men.

Lady Venus’s wait was not long.

He had not precisely known she would be here, but with Endymion’s not-so-subtle nervousness surrounding the night’s arrival, Kunzite had a general idea. When his prince disappeared he tried to cover the absence; redirecting inquisitive guests to dances with the other shitennou – being leader had its perks – or to short audiences with the King and Queen. One guest in particular seemed to watch him like a hawk, apparently intent to find the Prince, but he would not so easily give over his location. So when the Prince reentered, looking annoyed and defeated all at once, Kunzite stayed where he was, gazing across the gala with disinterest, even as the Prince was approached by children.

As time went on and Endymion kept by the younger people, Kunzite wondered who they were, and why the other Kings hadn’t relieved him of the nuisance; but before too long had past the doors opened to emit late-arriving guests; as silver pigtails drifted off through the crowd – perhaps an end to Endymion’s predicament? – Kunzite finally made his move, easing out of the steady-stare of his watcher and melting into the crowds.

Moments later he emerged from the crowd right behind the Guardian of Love and Beauty. With one hand he offered a ripe red rose, curling his arm around in front of her as he whispered, “Good evening, Venus,” in soft tones. He patiently awaited her response, craving her eyes and that ready-yet-guarded smile, those blushing cheeks… outwardly calm and stoic as always, only the constriction of his pupils and his nearness to her hinted at Kunzite’s attraction to the beautiful warrior, a fact he would like to hide… from everyone but her.

Jupiter followed Venus arm and arm searching for various bachelors to claim as their own, but Jupiter was especially startled when she noticed a very handsome white haired man approach her. Jupiter felt flustered by this fellow but knew that he was interested on Venus and not her. She pushed Venus forward and smiled.

" Have a good time!" Jupiter smiled pushing her forward and giving them some space.

Luna had wandered back toward the ball room as if her feet were drawn by the music. She wasn't really sure why, maybe to keep an eye on the young princesses as the danced the night away. Luna's feet hit the cool marble again and she took up her post in the back like before and watched for the girls swirling gowns in the pale moonlight. It was strange to think of the light as moonlight, she had always thought of earthlight on the moon, and here she had to reverse her thinking.

She spotted Venus and Jupiter near each other and smiled. She knew those two would find partners to dance with soon enough. Luna had to suppress a giggle as Jupiter shoved Venus forward. Luna sighed again and smiled. This was turning out to be a nice evening.

Venus's heart leaped when Kunzite offered the rose. She stared into those eyes and felt his attraction toward her. She spaced out briefly and was suddenly brought back into reality when Jupiter pushed her toward the man. She looked back at Jupiter and gave her a smile.

She then looked back at Kunzite and gave him a warm soft smile. She grabbed the rose from him and smelled its sweet scent. She then placed the flower into her hair behind her ear. Venus held out her hand hoping he would take the hint that she wanted to dance with him.

Her giggle had always made his heart swell to the point of ungracefulness, but somehow he managed to get through it. Part of him wanted to take her hand and spin her around… the other part reconsidered hurriedly, wondering if she’d be on high-alert in the alien kingdom and knowing he might end up flipping around and ending in a pile of pain on the floor at her feet. Instead he cleared his throat, alerting her somewhat to his presence before he offered his hand. Artemis, advisor to the Moon Court, smiled mischievously at his female counterpart, his white brows raising with a certain amount of cheekiness for surprising her. “Would you care for a dance?” he asked, “I might not be the best partner, but I don’t step on too many toes anymore.”

Her reaction was adorable, and her not-so-subtle prod for a dance…well, he smiled, that was what he liked about her. She wasn’t afraid to go for what she wanted. Obligingly, he took her hand and guided her onto the dance floor, his grip firm but gentle as he spun her into a turn and fell evenly into the cadence of the song. Through the dance he met her gaze for stretches of time, and looked away just as long – he needed to keep an eye out for trouble, but he wanted to be mentally with her as much as possible. He let the music speak for him… but if she started a conversation, he would not be adverse to conversing on the dance floor.

After lingering around off to the side, Princess Eris decided to change her course of plans. After a few glances around, she noticed an opening that seemed to lead to a rose embroidered pathway. Intrigued, she led her black heels toward the opening, creating clattering sounds with every step.

She eventually reached her destination, and then began to walk further to discover the mysterious area. The young woman clad in black slowly walked forward through the floral walkway. Off to the side were marble columns escorting the princess of the infamous planet of chaos, each being identical to the previous. After several steps, she reached an open, grassy area with beautiful ornaments consisting primary of flowers. Charmed by the beauty, she continued to move about, this time in no particular direction. Then, after a few moments of taking in the gorgeous scene, she rested her bottom upon a nearby marble bench. Despite the fact that she was spending her time in the elegant ball alone, the girl still managed to enjoy herself. She did prefer solitude over company, anyways.

The princess then rose her head skyward. Her eyes gazed upon the blue sky and the wispy white clouds. These elements of the sky only existed in her dreams back on the planet Eris. On the grim planet, the skies were painted dark. As a result, she stared more and more at the lovely sky, trying to take in as much as she could.

Luna was shocked and surprised when she saw Artemis. "I didn't think you would be coming tonight." Her voice full of surprise.
She giggle again as he offered her a dance. She smiled up into those eyes she loved so much. "I would be honored to have my toes stepped on if it was you stepping on them." She giggled again as she took his hand."Besides as a human I have fewer toes for you to step on." He had surprised her that was certain but she didn't mind. She loved it when he did. "it's been far to long since we danced, dear." Maybe she'd have more fun that she thought she would now that Artemis was here after all. This night was shaping up to be fun for everyone.

Luna wouldn't tell just anyone but she loved to dance and Artemis must know that. She always watched the way they couples spun around the floor so gracefully and she always wanted to be among them. She smiled again at her counterpart, her eyes shining the the pale light. She was happy and for that she was so grateful to the wonderful man before her.

Gaia had settled for just watching the couples dancing from the sidelines. Though her gaze repeatedly returned to where Endymion and Serenity stood. While she was happy to have finally seen the Moon Princess in person, she still was upset that it wasn't in her own timeline where she could actually have approached them. In that regard, she had more respect for Yue's niece that she still approached Endymion and Serenity.

After a while, she turned and stepped outside for a walk in the gardens. An area she knew so well, even though it was a different universe from her own, the gardens still seemed to have been done the same way.

"But, " Conri had shadowed the pink haired girl for a while and had cringed every time the girl had opened her mouth and moved. He couldn't really stay silent any longer, "what you did was REALLY stupid! Mama would be really mad at you because you told them. It could change everything even if they aren't your papa and mama."

Of course he head said this all to Nectaris because that's actually how he thought.
"You're gonna be in big trouble. And you too, " He said to Yue, "because you didn't stop her."

Honestly, Darius had had enough of the 'palace' and slipped away himself into the gardens. Rather, he finds it lucky that some of the layout was familiar enough to him to go this way. Breathing out, the blonde haired young man thought he could get away from everything the think for a time.

If only Helios was here. Or Diana. Someone he knew that wasn't a biting pain in the neck. Slipping the mask off- thinking he's alone- he took in the scene for a while.

"Why did he say there's something to learn here." He mutters, "If there's really nothing to learn?"

Which, actually was about the time he notices the woman that was there and hastily tries to put his mask back on.
"
Oh..uh, sorry, didn't think anyone was here."

Elation, for the most part, stays back where she was and shakes her head slowly. Ah yes, like clock work. She looks at her fifth glass and thinks she should stop but...

Why? It's not like he'd ever care. Probably would be happier if.. Downing the drink her mind is becoming more muddled than ever. She spies others- newcomers - and snorts indelicately at it.

Probably the first time she's actually rooting for Beryl to show up and crash the party. At least that would be interesting than watching the love-sick couples.

Nectaris and Yue looked startled at the little green haired, dark skinned boy startled. Nectaris frowned delicately, both at his words and familiar appearance. Then her eyes widened as she spoke, “You're Pluto's son?” she looked at him a little startled and unsure, then frowned again.”But they are still my Mama and Papa! It's just a different place right? But I’m not sorry I told them. I love my Mama and Papa and I won't lie to them!”

She realized her head was starting to hurt a little from the complications of being from a different universe. These people really were her parents, just not from the same universe or time it seemed, if they were still courting. She shook her head a little to try and dispel the discomfort. Meanwhile, Yue could also recognize him as a child of Pluto, and he frowned.” Look, I tried to keep an eye on her! Til that Gaia woman pulled me away! How am I flippin' suppose to avoid awkward questions and not be rude? Besides, it was Pluto who invited us to come here. She probably knew this was going to happen, didn't she?” he looked vaguely accusing down at the child.

The boy shook his head, "She probably thought you would keep your big mouth shut. " Shakes head again, worried, "This is bad! You could have made bad things happen in other place because you told them!" Conri's shoulders sag a little at this, " Mama said time's not set in stone. Because you said something, it means you might've change this universe's history. You might not be born here. Or not born in another timeline and and.. "

Wringing his hands a little, the young boy paces, "And your uncle might not be born here- and you could've caused all kinds of trouble because you can't keep secrets! Not to mention this isn't a time period known for good intentions towards moon kingdom people... " Mutters and eyes darted around for a while, voice lowers, "People don't like us. Are you both really stupid and wanna die?"

Gaia had been caught up in her thoughts when the young blond bumped into her. "It's quite alright. I didn't expect anyone else to be out here either." She smiled softly as she turned to him. "What brings you out here?" She was just being curious, but if he didn't want to tell her, she wouldn't press.

"In truth?" Darius looks over at her, "To breathe. I do not enjoy these things as much. However, I made a promise to come for someone, so..here I am." He gestures around him and shakes his head at it, "It's rather ..boring really. I was just thinking to go back home." Keeping something of a distance from her, he looks her over again, "And you? What brings you here?"

"For me? I just came out here to think really. The fresh air helps me to think. Just some confusion really." She smiled and looked out at the gardens. "I was a bit bored at home which is why I came here to the ball."

Serenity felt even more confused with the newcomers. "Endymion," she whispered, "what is going on? Maybe we should go somewhere," she tilted her head and smiled, "...more private."

Serenity saw her friends out on the dance floor enjoying themselves. She was glad they were having a good time. Where's Luna? The double bunned girl was invisible to the silver haired princess.

Serenity sighed, This ball is more than I bargained for!

It was a little surprising to hear Neptune call her Lady Uranus, but then it wasn't really surprising at all, was it? This woman was obviously more intuitive than the normal person, and there was power within that thin body.

Next time though, Uranus would make an effort to be a little more sneaky in terms of her own costume.

She followed Neptune without any hesitations and it felt right to put her trust in this beautiful woman. Uranus did not know anything about this palace, so she was thankful that Neptune seemed to know of a balcony that would allow them a little more privacy.

Privacy would be good and Uranus allowed a small smile to grace her lips as the two of them moved through the decorated halls. She knew that her advisers would not be happy once they found out that she had disappeared with another woman. They wanted her to be seen by the people, so that everyone would know who the princess of Uranus was without a doubt. They would accuse her of shirking her duties.

But Uranus already had her defense for that accusation. After all, if they wanted her to be seen, they shouldn't have allowed her to dress up as a man.

As Neptune moved the two of them further away from the ball room, Uranus found herself staring at the way that the deep teal locks moved in waves, swaying gently against Neptune's shoulders. Uranus's smile became a little softer but before she could get lost in her own thoughts even further, they seemed to have reached their destination and Neptune was letting go of her hand.

Uranus was struck by the feeling of strange emptiness without that small hand being held within her own. It didn't make sense, of course. She didn't even know Neptune, not really. It didn't matter that she felt this kind of connection with her because it didn't make any logical sense at all.

Why did she feel so drawn in?

Neptune gestured for her to sit beside her on the balcony rail, and Uranus shrugged and joined her gladly even though it was quite a long way down to the ground. She didn't fear heights.

Sitting there in silence, Uranus couldn't help but to glance over at the other woman. It felt fitting to see her element of wind playing with Neptune's hair. But then Uranus wished that she could be the one playing with those soft strands of hair, and she looked away.

"Do you come here often?" Uranus asked her, breaking the silence. "This is actually my first time. I don't often go to balls or parties or the like." She paused for a moment, and chuckled, glancing sideways at the other woman. "As you might have noticed, I prefer to avoid wearing dresses when I can get away with it."

Venus gazed into his eyes at they danced arcoss the dance floor. Her heart began to melt and she felt her cheeks were beginning to flush. She didn't care because she has never dance with such a graceful dancer before. Who knew that the leader of the generals would be a good dancer. She hoped this moment would never end.

Her gaze into his eyes was intruppted when he looked away. She wonder if he was bored since either one of them wasn't talking.

"How you been?" she asked. She really had no idea how to start a converstion with th guy. Usually they're at each other's throats when it comes to Serenity and Endymion's relationship.

Endymion's head was spinning. Alternate universes? What the hell?

He reached out and grabbed Serenity's hand, trying to keep himself grounded. When she suggested that they retire to a more private area, it was like music to his ears. He needed to get away from all this madness and attempt to figure it out.

"Yeah. Yeah, let's get out of here for a little bit. I need to get out of here for a minute." Still holding on to her hand, he led Serenity out of the ball room, out the back of the palace, and towards the private grotto in the rose garden where they had spent so many hours falling in love.

A perfect place to sit down and talk this all out with his soul mate.

Neptune’s hand felt cold after she had let go off Uranus’ warmer one and the cold wind froze her soft skin with its cold, almost fierce power. Why had she let go off her hand? And why was she asking herself that now? Neptune wondered how it felt so unnatural to let go off the Princess of Uranus and how it felt right to walk beside her.

She shivered slightly from the cold breeze and looked at the blonde woman, how gorgeous her eyes and blonde hair looked in this light. It was like Uranus had hair made from stardust, whatever shadow landed on it created a new color on the blond locks and when the wind blew the blonde sea of stars Neptune couldn’t get her eyes from it. And the dark teal eyes that glimmered in the moonlight drew her in, she wanted to get drown into them… into a storm she hadn’t ever felt in her life before and what she would never face anywhere else than in the company of this beautiful woman.

As Uranus approached Neptune to join her, Neptune couldn’t help it but to admire the way her movements pictured her strength, like her powers were in a perfect pace with her body. In Neptune’s eyes deep blue eyes only one image was permanent, the view of the goddess of the skies, that was exactly like she saw and felt Uranus being. How was it possible that only one look at her, one smile, one glance of hers was able to make Neptune feel this way? She had never felt the same before and she couldn’t even give her feelings a name. Picturing the warmth she felt with words would be an impossible task even if she had all the time in the world to describe it and even as a talented artist she doubted if she could express Uranus’ beauty in her music or paintings.

When Uranus sat down beside Neptune she didn’t feel cold anymore and as looking into the deep teal eyes of the blonde and gazing at her only one wish filled her thoughts for a slight moment. What all would she give if Uranus just placed her hand on her shoulder and wrapped her arm around Neptune. She tried to push her thoughts aside to concentrate on this moment by looking at the moon for a moment. Why was she wishing for the blonde to share her warmth with her? She didn’t know the answer yet she felt that inside her deepest thoughts something was whispering the answer to her all the time...

Neptune thanked her luck since she had been smart enough to come to the ball without her advisors or court. She could imagine what they would say to her if they heard that she had left the ball with another woman to talk in peace when she should’ve been introducing herself to the guests of the ball. But they had let her go as a normal guest so she was free to do whatever she wanted to. And how grateful she was for her decision now… She didn’t want to leave the blonde, tall woman no matter what the situation would be. When she had first wanted to leave from the ball before it was over, those thoughts had been swept away by Uranus’ smile. Now she wanted this moment to last for eternity so she could get to know everything about the blonde.

Suddenly Neptune heard Uranus’ deep warm voice speaking to her and she listened to her soft, beautiful tone as her face naturally turned to face the blonde woman’s eyes once again. It felt like every time she just turned her gaze to Uranus her eyes were drawing her in, every time with a stronger power than in the moment before the current one.

Neptune came back from her slightly storming thoughts as she answered Uranus “No, this is actually my first time here, too” she smiled as the other Princess continued to speak to her. Neptune’s smile changed into a yet warmer one as she looked at Uranus when she chuckled and her own voice joined the warm chuckles of the blonde. “I did notice that” she chuckled slightly placing her hand to her lips and closing her eyes. Had she laughed like this for a long time… or ever before this moment? She couldn’t tell that, she didn’t remember since all that mattered was here now, in this moment, in this cool breeze of the middle night.

As she laughed, Neptune placed her delicate hand on Uranus’ not even realizing it. Her hand had moved so naturally and as she kept it there, Neptune felt like it was the best fitting place for her hand to be. Not even her brushes or violin bow fit her hand so well. “I don’t go to parties of any kind often either, there’s just too much fuss and people all around me. And what is the worst is that if they get drunk, it’s just crazy” she said shaking her head slightly, her aqua waves once again played by the wind.

“I prefer to spend my time in peace” she smiled as she gently grabbed Uranus’ warm hand. The wind blew even colder than before and hit straight to Neptune’s back, as her dress was backless till the lower part of her back and her silky, thin scarf did not help her to feel warmer. “I didn’t realize it’s so cold outside already” she laughed with closed eyes shivering from the cold chill.

Serenity took Endymion's hand and guidance gratefully. The rose garden was beautiful, so many memories of love over flowed the moon princess like and expensive perfume, sweet, beautiful, sensual, and all so costly.

She gazed up at her handsome prince with soft eyes, "Endymion, how have you been? I have barely said a private word to you all night." She gripped his hand tightly, "I missed you." She paused for a moment to think, "What was that all about tonight?" she questioned.

Endymion mumbled half of an "I missed you too" towards Serenity as he tried to get a hold on himself. All of the implications of alternate universes were starting to sink into his mind; infecting him like a disease.

He spun around, took Serenity's face into his hands, and stared into her deep blue eyes. The beautiful eyes of the twilight sky..

"Serenity, what does this all mean? All this talk of different worlds and universes.. It's making my head spin! I can't wrap around it in a way that makes any sense.

That child.. she said she was out daughter.. our DAUGHTER. We're not even betrothed! Or engaged! Not many even know of out love.. and yet we are destined, even in another world, to have a child?

Does this.. does this mean that we are destined to be together?" The very thought made Endymioin's breath catch in his throat and his heart race. An eternity with her.. a daughter with her.. a life with her. Even with all these whispers of rebellion and war.. could it possibly be true?

"What I wouldn't give to go back home." Darius sighs and runs a hand through his hair for a moment. " The air here is similar, but different. It feels stifling. Like something is crowding in on me."

Shuddering, he doesn't care much for this place. "Whatever, it is. I wonder if there's a Helios here?"

She felt ill, ok, maybe that last glass of wine was not a good idea. Elation, feeling just a tad nauseous, tries to move quickly through the crowded room to get some air. She needed something- anything to just...

Relax, yes. Breathe more. And then maybe-

Well, darn, there goes her lunch behind the bushes here. Remind her never to drink that again. Or it could be-

Wow, this was just becoming rude, but well, guess it showed her that this is not the brightest idea she's ever had. At least she stopped heaving. There's a plus, but she eventually finds a spot to sit, and digs around in the dress pocket for something to wipe her mouth with.

"I should've stayed..home." Wiping her mouth, she breathes out slowly, "Water would be nice, wouldn't it?"

She sniffs just a bit, not able to contain herself anymore and just cries in frustration. "Endymion you..you TWO-FACED JERK! I'm pregnant with your baby and you're off with that..that girl!"

Nectaris couldn't believe this boy was berating her, Pluto's child or not. She had a right to talk to her parents, in any form. She was their daughter, their blood. Was she not good enough that they would want to have her? And she was controller of the most powerful crystal in the solar system, the Silver Crystal that would be hers some day! She looked at the boy almost a bit coolly, frowning.

She could see from the corner of her eye Endymion and Serenity leaving. She wanted to go with them, spend time with them, and probably would have if her uncle didn't have ahold of her shoulders. She sighed softly as she decided to be a princess as she was, and deal with it. Her mother had always told her to be patient and gentle, and that apologies usually made things better, even if it wasn't your fault.

That was the first lesson of being a good ruler. So she mentally took a deep breath, swallowed the pride she had inherited from her father, and sank into a deep curtsy to Conri as she spoke sincerely.” I am very sorry for breaking the rules and telling Mama and Papa about me. I just wanted to be with them at the ball, as a family. Please accept my deepest apologies.”

Yue was glad that Endymion and Serenity were gone. He felt warmly towards the sister he had never been able to really meet, but he knew this wasn't her. What good would it do? He felt Nectaris doing a curtsy and apology and felt a momentary burst of pride for her. Just like a true princess. Serenity would surely be very proud of her daughter now, swallowing the indignation and making the first move.

He looked down now at the little boy she had apologized to and frowned suddenly, almost feeling something familiar from him. Hair done in a ponytail, the panes of his face, the almost feminine touch to his features and body. He narrowed his eyes slightly as he leaned down, staring the young boy in the eyes, dark blue meeting deep magenta.

”Who exactly are you?” he asked, subconsciously keeping a firm hand on his niece to keep her from running off anywhere. Probably better that she stayed within arms reach of him.

Gaia had heard the young man and nodded. "It's quite likely there's a Helios here. It wouldn't be surprising if you were to go seek him out."

She then turned and headed back inside to the ball

The moon princess was not accustomed to such deep thoughts and ideas. But the idea of an eternity with Endymion, having a child, being able to show their love for each other genuinely without public criticism, was just wonderful splenda on Serenity's heart.

The rumors of war and destruction haunted her mind though, "Endymion?" she looked at him serenely, "Maybe we can't be together in this life, but what if there are a thousand other Serenities and Endymions that do live happily forever and after that?" she tapped her fingers together puzzled, trying to work out her nebulous thoughts physically, as if she could move them like chess pieces in a logical flow of rules and sensibility. "Like in an alternate world? The Queen says there are other dimensions and domains beyond the stars that we can not possibly begin to understand unless we are," she paused, a name so long ago forgotten, forbidden to leave her lips, and it was gone. A silhouette flashed in Serenity's mind, a short skirted soldier with long flowing hair and knee high boots, like Venus and Jupiter's outfits but not quite.
