Physical Description: Ayano is small for her age, often looking sickly because of her extremely pale skin. She has the dark hair of her mother, Hotaru Tomoe, so dark that it appears purple, but her eyes are a clear and bright blue, a trait from her other parental figure, Aluminum Seiren. She usually kept her hair down and loose, it coming to the middle of her back in length. She wears clothes that are far too big and baggy on her, opting for comfort than style. Her favorite outfit is a white sweater that is two sizes too big for her, paired with either a black skirt and leggings, or dark jeans. She wears sneakers, and never likes to wear high-heels because she claims that they make too much noise.

Personality: Ayano is incredibly quiet, and hates to draw attention to herself. She is very shy and tends to never know what to say when put into a social situation. It is hard for her to make friends because she is far too shy to initiate any contact with other people and feels out of place when she has a chance to talk to someone. Her only friends are those that she met by growing up with her mother and the other main Senshi.

Despite her shyness, she desires to have a best friend, one that she has made herself rather than having been made through association. It is easier for her to feel comfortable around people she already knows, although she gets nervous very easily and eats to get through this, always keeping all kinds of snacks in her bag to carry around with her anywhere. Food is kind of a clutch for her to go to whenever she is sad or nervous, a trait that she was once told she shares in common with Aluminum Seiren. Ayano likes helping people, regardless of whether it is with homework or with a personal problem, and she likes to think that she is fairly good at it.

As Sailor Ananke, Ayano is much more calm and in control. Her shyness fades away and she knows exactly what she needs to do in order to get through the fight and is very analytical in her tactics.

Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Despite often trying, she does not seem to have inherited the strange healing ability that her mother has.

History: Hotaru was caught unaware when she suddenly found out that she was pregnant, and it was even more of a surprise when she found out why. At first, Hotaru was frightened by the situation, and part of her feared that her frail body would not be able to take the pressures of having a baby. But when Ayano came into the world, Hotaru loved her instantly and was secretly happy for the mix up. Ami had performed tests beforehand, so Hotaru already knew that Aluminum Seiren was the other half of her daughter's starseed. She brought Ayano up without much knowledge of her heritage, fearful that the girl might be influenced by the history of Seiren, and she wanted Hotaru to be a happy child, rather than being sad that the other half of her starseed came from a villain.

Ayano did turn out to be quite a happy child, growing up in the presence of all of the other senshi, although always incredibly shy. Whenever she questioned her mother about why she had no father, Hotaru would reply by saying that she also grew up once without a father, and was raised by three women, and then she would go one to tell all of the stories that Ayano had already hear a hundred times before.

These stories pacified her for a while, but as she got older, her curiosity grew stronger. Ayano was often plagued by nightmares, and after one such nightmare, she woke up by a blinding light to see her henshin stick floating in front of her. Being the daughter of Sailor Saturn, Ayano had always believed that she, too, would become Sailor Saturn, taking over for her mother. But the stick in front of her was not the henshin stick of Saturn. It was of one she had never seen before. Despite the questions she had, Ayano knew that this was hers, and she reached out to take it. She was not Sailor Saturn, but instead Sailor Ananke, so named for the greek goddess of inevitability, fate and necessity.

Ayano wanted to believe that her transformation was just a complement for her mother's, but she knew that her control over water meant that something else was to be the reason. So she demanded answers, and Hotaru finally gave in to tell her daughter everything. Ayano had known about the strange mix up with the Cauldron, but she hadn't truly thought that she was affected by it all. To find out that her 'father' was an evil person intent on stealing and killing, adding on all of the problems that Sailor Saturn has with her own identity makes Ayano uncomfortable with herself, but she doesn't let it get to her too much. Instead, she goes out of her way to help people, as a way to kind of offset the damage that Aluminum Seiren once inflicted.




Senshi Name: Sailor Ananke, Soldier of Beginnings.
Because her namesake in Greek mythology had a lot to do with the beginning of the world, Sailor Ananke has a mix of Saturn (Rebirth) and Seiren (Water, which is needed for life to exist).
Senshi Fuku: Her main colors are dark purple and bright teal. Her skirt holds three colors, beginning with dark purple with a middle stripe of mauve and ending in a small stripe of the same teal found on the rest of her uniform. Her gloves come up to her elbows with three layers of purple piping. Her bows are both teal, and her sash is dark purple with a single teal stripe. Her boots reach up to her knees with a pointed edge, with teal ribbons crisscrossing around the boots.
Henshin/Transformation: Ananke Cosmic Power, Make Up!
Powers:
Tsunami Wall!: A protective spell, it creates a thick wall of water that rises up in front of its intended target, blocking incoming attacks for a short time. It takes a lot of power to keep the wall intact, so Sailor Ananke can not hold it there for long.
Cascade Ribbon!: An offensive spell, ribbons of water come out from Ananke's hands and attack the intended target. It is not a terribly powerful spell, and Ananke generally uses this as more of a distracting tactic than for raw damage.
Cascade Ribbon, Encircle!: An inhibiting spell, it is nearly the same as the above spell, but instead of inflicting small damage, it instead wraps around the intended target to keep them in place for a bit of time.
Orphic Rebirth Creation!: Ananke's most powerful spell, although it inflicts no damage. It allows her to bring someone back to life, but she is not allowed to use it because it requires that, for the world to remain balanced, someone else would have to die in order for a life to be brought back. If she does use it, the Orphic Egg around her waist is brought to her hands and it begins to glow with a bright blue light which surrounds the intended sacrifice, while a darkness covers the person who is being brought back to life. With a flash of light, the two auras switch, with the sacrifice being in the darkness and the person being brought back now in the blue light. After this, the lights disappear, and the once dead is alive, while the sacrifice is dead.
Weapons or Magical Items:
The Orphic Egg: It is a large pale blue egg that hangs from Ananke's waist at all times. Circling the egg is a serpent-like whip, though it is not a true whip (it does not come off of the egg). Ananke does not use this item except for her Orphic Rebirth Creation power.
Hair: At one point, Sailor Ananke realized that she could use her hair as a kind of whip, with it lengthening and attaching itself to try and strangle its target at her direction. After being told that this was something Sailor Aluminum Seiren could do, Ananke does not use it at all.
Vitality Crystal: The meshing of both Saturn and Seiren created this new crystal, a crystal with the powers of beginnings and life. It is not an item that she can use for any particular purpose (not like how Sailor Moon can), but it is still her own starseed.





There was fighting in the hall again. Ayano tried to ignore it because there wasn't much she could do. She had tried to stop the fighting quite a few times, but it never made a difference. Either people would laugh and continue on with their petty arguments, or they would turn their anger on her. Without the power of her transformation behind her, Ayano was far too weak to stand up against her classmates in a physical brawl.

Her way to her next class was blocked by the large circle of kids that had gathered to watch the two guys fight. Ayano frowned and clutched her books to her chest as if it were a shield. It bothered her to see them fighting---weren't these the same guys as yesterday?---but she didn't know what she could do to stop it. A part of her knew that it was sometimes even worse just to watch instead of doing something.

But even when she did act upon her inner need to help, the next day would just result in the same exact thing. Ayano didn't understand why these guys liked to fight so much.

She turned her head and tried to ignore the sounds of punches being thrown and curses being shouted.

When it all calmed down, Ayano turned to look at the damage. Most of the crowd had dissipated, leaving a lone figure lying on the linoleum floor. Ayano frowned again and took a few hesitant steps closer. "Are...are you o-okay?" she managed to get out. Was that even the right thing to say in this kind of situation? It was obvious he wasn't okay. His right eye was a mix of black and blue and there were even darker bruises on his arms. His lip was split and his nose was bleeding.

Ayano knelt down next to him and reached in her bag for a tissue. She handed it to him. "Here," she said, because she didn't know what else to say.

The guy took it, giving her a strange look, though he said nothing. Ayano didn't even know his name, but she tried to smile sympathetically at him and said, "You really shouldn't f-fight, you know?" She paused, unsure how to continue, the words tripping off her tongue in stutters. "You're g-going to get in um, trouble."

The injured guy in front of her glared at her then and stood up, still holding the tissue to his bleeding nose. "It's none of your business," he said, and then he turned around and walked off in an angry huff.

Ayano stared after him before shrugging and standing up as well. "Suit yourself," she whispered to no one in particular.

i'm not entirely sure Aluminum was really evil, but just be careful okay? we don't want copies of the same personality running around in this rp, otherwise it wouldn't be much fun.^^

Hmm, I guess I can see the similarities, although I never thought of it until you said it now, because I guess I see your character as being more affected because everyone around her is afraid of her, while no one thinks Ananke will be bad or anything, it's just her own inner feelings.

I guess I've always felt Seiren was pretty evil in the manga xD

only a little. i can understand her being very shy because Hotaru herself is a shy person. maybe just a little less angsty and it'd work. after all, there's already 3 bundles of angst in the rp, my Alcemene and Sailor Vita,and Uranus's Masked Armor. angst is awesome, but too much of it isn't a good thing. you know what i mean?
