Advanced Senshi: Sailor Megrez Empty
PostSubject: Advanced Senshi: Sailor Megrez   Advanced Senshi: Sailor Megrez I_icon_minitime30th November 2016, 6:12 pm

Advanced Character Profile

Character Name: Luca Krantz
Gender: Female
Age and Date of Birth: 19- April 15th, 1996

Used Canons:
This section is a little tricky because the RP where she was "born" put a lot of elements into a blender and spat them all out as an original setting without quite sourcing where the canon elements came from. I'd have to say Manga and 90's anime though.

Appearance: Please include the physical description of your character as well as a description of their clothing or attire. Feel free to include a picture, but please do not substitute a picture for a written description. Please include at least one paragraph (3-4 full-sentence) of description. No sources may be quoted in this field; this description should be in the player's own words.

At first glance, a person's attention might be drawn to Luca's deep blue eyes and her ginger orange hair. Her eyes are wide and expressive; her hair comes down to her lower back and is typically kept back in a ponytail. Her skin is pale and clear, though there is a notable exception: she has a scar across her nose. There are other scars like this all over her body, mostly on her chest and stomach. She generally dresses in a "cute" fashion, favoring brighter colors and charming styles, though she does make allowances for formality.

Picture Reference, just in case... huge pic warning:

Personality: Please include as much detail as possible. May also include: dreams/goals/amibitions, likes, dislikes, weaknesses, and strengths. Please include at least one paragraph (3-4 full-sentence) of description. No sources may be quoted in this field; this description should be in the player's own words.

Overview:
Luca is a passionate, cheerful person who throws herself wholeheartedly into what she does. She radiates verve and her demeanor is generally lively. However, she tends to act without thinking and function based off her emotions rather than her logic. She will ruminate for a very long time over wrongs she has committed and wrongs committed against her, and she rarely lets go of her grudges unless she is completely convinced that she was in the wrong. Hidden under her zeal is a bitter person, damaged by her history. She is prone to bouts of angst regarding events in her life, and she bears emotional scars from certain events. Because of her emotional baggage, she can come off as a bit extreme in her choices.

Breakdown:

Virtues:

Passionate- When Luca gets into something, she gets really into it. She'll devote herself to whatever her new passion is as much as she can, and she'll try to get others into it as well. She may sometimes get so wrapped up in something that she'll alter her priorities or overcommit to it, but generally, if she can't do it at the time, she'll settle for babbling about it to others.

Energetic- Luca is just about tireless. She is always bustling from activity to activity and rarely feels exhausted. It could be said that sometimes, she runs off pure vigor. (Of course, sleep deprivation will hit her like it will hit anyone else, but other than that it seems like she can keep going and going.)

Confident- Luca does not often second-guess herself. She makes her declarations firmly and proudly (and sometimes, without her realizing it, in error) and will saunter right ahead into challenges. She's not quite arrogant, as she does have a decent appraisal of her limits, but Luca does carry a lot of confidence around with her.

Flaws:

Rash- Sometimes, Luca just doesn't think before she acts. She'll dash into action before whatever has happened (be it a physical or emotional event) has had time to sink in and be processed. This tendency results in Luca doing a lot of things she later regrets. She's gotten in trouble on multiple occasions for just smacking people who are misbehaving.

Resentful- Luca would be lying if she said she didn't hold grudges. She remembers what people have done to her for a very, very long time. She might act as though she has forgiven you... but she remembers, and she probably is still bitter over whatever happened. When alone with a friend, she may still talk about bygone wrongs and how mad she still is about the person who did them to her, and sometimes her bitterness slips out in the form of bluntness or coldness. Generally, however, she strives to hide it (not always effectively).

Ruminating- If something troubles Luca or she's made a critical error, she will dwell on it for a long, long time and refuse to let it go. She's the kind of person to stay depressed over a mistake for a long period of time, even after she has been forgiven, because "it was so stupid."

Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Luca is an excellent singer.

History:

When Luca was 16, she lived in a completely different world from the one she lives in now (literally). She was a high school junior walking home when she encountered a talking cat who offered to grant her great power. Curious about what that meant, she accepted the cat's offer and received her very first transformation item: a henshin pen. With that, the Guardian Cat awakened her as Sailor Megrez, Senshi of Eggs, and dropped her into the War on Chaos.

She would never see that cat again. Indeed, she was given very little guidance after awakening, left to flounder around and defeat monsters for some time. One day she encountered a Knight (like a senshi that draws power from a "wonder"/location in the universe instead of a planet) who invited her to a boot camp training event. The leader of the training events was a charismatic and deeply militant senshi who believed that victory for the forces of Order (those not powered by corrupted Chaos energy) could only come with complete eradication of Chaotic forces. Megrez was a very impressionable young senshi, and she absorbed the leader's dogma entirely. She hung out with a crowd that only reinforced the idea of killing the enemy, and the pressure to save people by killing even one measly Chaos Lieutenant built up until it culminated in her very first kill.

One night, the forces of Chaos launched an operation where they lured Order forces into a warehouse with fake hostages. The warehouse was set on fire, and while everyone was scrambling to escape, Megrez was dogged by a particularly nasty lieutenant. Sensing an opportunity, she grabbed a sharp object from one of the shelves and stabbed him to death before fleeing. Thus, Megrez's innocence was shattered. Her friends rewarded her for her first kill, and she tried to swallow the trauma by assuring herself that she had prevented the deaths of many and that she could never turn back from the war after this action. Nonetheless, she was plagued by nightmares, and she began to despise senshi that had never killed and were "guilt free."

That bitterness towards "pure" senshi was intensified by the appearance of two powerful senshi: a Royal Senshi and his brother. They were friends with Megrez's mentor, and they both encouraged her to kill members of Chaos to protect not just the people of Earth, but the planets they were all tied to as senshi. Soon, a very formative moment would occur for Megrez. The Royal and his brother murdered a group of lieutenants in a warehouse and lured Order members to the grisly scene. When a crowd had gathered, the two senshi declared war not just on Chaos, but on anyone who would protect a member of Chaos. The mixed murmurs of disgust and thin approval caused Megrez to crack under the pressure. She lashed out at everyone who disagreed with the Royal's declaration, insulting them and claiming that the Royal's point was that they had to start working together to curb the threat Chaos posed to the world. She issued a dangerous dare: that, if she were ever to be corrupted by Chaos, anyone present was allowed to kill her. Her outburst caused even more chaos among the crowd, and a friend dragged her out of the area to cool down.

From there, Megrez became intensely belligerent. She began to hunt and kill Lieutenants; not long after she received an upgrade to the rank of Super Senshi, she began to hunt Captains (the next rank up) as well. Her nightmares grew more vivid, and they began to have recurring elements: senshi declaring that she was unfit to be a member of Order, the ability to tear through the senshi as though they were made of paper, and a mutation into a terrible monster.

One night, she had a vision of a dystopian future where Chaotic forces had taken over the world, and Order had been reduced to a struggling resistance movement. In this future, she was an Eternal-rank senshi (the highest non-royal tier) famous for her violence on the battlefield and her dissonant attempts to boost morale through concert events. All her friends had either been killed or corrupted with the rise of Chaos, and she was determined to kill the former friends who had either embraced Chaos willingly or were so thoroughly corrupted that they had no memories of who they used to be. However, her losses had broken her so thoroughly that she had no motivation to resist death. She did manage to kill her former best friend, but when Chaos retaliated against Order's final stand, she met her end at the hands of a General-Queen (one of the leaders of Chaos's forces).

The vision stunned Megrez with what she had become. She embarked on some soul-searching and traveled to planet Megrez to learn about her past life in the time of the Silver Millennium. Her previous self was Melantha, the High Priestess in charge of spiritual affairs on her planet. Her lover, Elliot, hailed from another planet, and was discovered to be relaying information to his home planet that would leave Megrez open for invasion. In her fury, Melantha attacked Elliot, inflicting wounds on him that called for hospitalization. After the attack, however, the lovers forgave each other, and Elliot cut ties with him home planet to live with Melantha. The act of forgiveness struck a chord with Megrez, and she came to a pivotal conclusion: she would never fall to Chaos as long as she kept love in her heart. She returned home with a renewed vigor, apologizing to those she had wronged and taking a softer approach to Chaos soldiers she met. Not long after this event, she would be upgraded to the rank of Eternal Senshi.

Some time later, a hostage situation broke out; numerous Order senshi of varying ranks had been taken captive by the Negaverse. On the way to the rescue, Megrez would meet her protege: Sailor Sadachbia, Senshi of Construction. Sadachbia had only been a senshi for three days prior to rushing off on the rescue mission and was very much in need of guidance. The two senshi became a notable pair around the city.

For a while, things settled down. Megrez got into college, which stalled her senshi activities some. Sadachbia was becoming a very zealous senshi and was none too fond of Megrez's drop in activity, but ultimately the two encouraged each other to stay active. Megrez did see traces of her former belligerence in Sadachbia, which worried her, but unfortunately she would not have much time to correct the pattern before everything came tumbling down.

One night, Negaverse troops swarmed various areas of the city, attacking and/or corrupting any senshi they could get their hands on. Megrez and Sadachbia went out intending to fight back, along with a senshi and a Knight that Megrez had something of an open relationship with. The Negaverse had sent their strongest troops out that night, and Order forces were at a growing disadvantage. By the time the squads were called off, Megrez had not only been badly wounded, but she had seen two of her most precious people be killed. Sadachbia met a worse outcome: she had been force-corrupted in front of Megrez, and then whisked off among the ranks of the "stolen." If Megrez had kept any faith in Order's power in light of all she had seen, this one night had destroyed it completely.

In her grief, Megrez returned to her planet to rest, heal, and hide from the world. One day, a strange portal opened near her. Figuring she had nothing to lose, Megrez went through it, landing in the new world on the other side. She was greeted by Sailor Sadalbari, the one who managed the portal, and was informed that she was the first "Outworld Senshi" to arrive on planet Alcor. As it turned out, Sadalbari and her friends were using Alcor as a meeting spot for senshi, and they had decided to use Sadalbari's nexus control powers to see if they could gather any senshi from other worlds. Megrez would soon meet the rest of the team Sadalbari belonged to: Er Rai, Dubhe, Sadalmelik, and Alcor.

Megrez spent some time with the senshi of the new world, learning about them and their experiences as senshi. She very quickly felt out of place with them; none of the senshi had ever killed anyone or even witnessed a corruption, and she began to feel that her baggage made her a poor companion for these senshi. She returned home for a while and was met with an unpleasant surprise on the one day she decided to patrol: Corrupt Super Sailor Sadachbia. The corrupted senshi only remembered Megrez as a prize to be taken to the Negaverse; all traces of the younger senshi that Megrez had tutored were gone. Megrez survived the encounter, but it was at that time that she came to a decisive conclusion: the world she lived in was hopeless. Order was outmatched by Chaos in so many ways, and it wouldn't be long before Chaos devoured the world and made her strange vision a reality. The portal on her planet had given her an opportunity to start over in a world where Order seemed to have a better handle on things, and that seemed like the choice she would have to make.

One day, Eternal Sailor Megrez left her world behind. She stepped through the portal one last time and informed Sailors Sadalbari and Alcor of her decision. While Sadalbari tried to convince her not to leave her family behind, Megrez refused, and so arrangements were made for her to move in somewhere in Lunell City, where most of the team lived on Earth. Er Rai (as her civilian self, Cassandra Riley) in particular seemed concerned with Megrez's well-being, trying her best to listen to the egg senshi's woes and stories from home.

A strange guardian cat had begun wandering by Megrez's apartment building; he had a green triangle on his forehead, unlike the stars Megrez had seen on the foreheads of guardian cats from her world (or on Sephie, Er Rai's guardian cat). When Megrez invited the cat in, he introduced himself as Crowley and offered her a chance at "redemption." He said that, if Megrez could gather the starseeds of seven Royal Senshi, he would be able to help her gather the power necessary to purge Chaos from her world. She agreed with minimal hesitation, and he gave her a special knife that would allow her to grab starseeds from senshi if it dealt the killing blow. As it turned out, Er Rai, Dubhe, Sadalmelik, Sadalbari, and Alcor all possessed Princess forms, and with them Royal Crystals. Megrez schemed and sprung a trap for the senshi, dragging them to a pocket dimension that Crowley had set up for her.

Megrez fought hard against the team, begging them to sacrifice themselves to save her world, but ultimately she was unable to defeat even Alcor, whose attacks were entirely defensive. The team had her surrounded when a terrible monster that Crowley could only describe as "a giant space flea" broke into the space, attracted by all the power being slung around. The "flea" ensnared Megrez in a magic orb and began to drain her energy. Determined the end the fight quickly, Er Rai commanded the rest of the team to power up into their Princess forms and combine their Royal Crystals to destroy the monstrosity. One blast of power shattered the orb holding Megrez, but there wasn't enough energy left to defeat the beast. In a beaten desperation, Megrez crawled under the compound crystal, and when she went to summon an egg to chuck at the creature, a magnificent transformation occurred. Her starseed appeared, and blossomed into the beautiful lotus shape of a Royal Crystal, and her fuku became a Princess form's dress. More determined than ever, she added her crystal to the mass, and the combined crystals became a giant beam that blasted the "flea" apart.

When the crystals separated and returned to their respective bearers, they discovered that their fukus had changed. Crowley explained that the mix of feelings and power caused by the mingling of starseeds must have caused an alteration in their senshi states. He told them to name their new forms and appreciate that they were all compatible enough for such a thing to happen, and then disappeared. Thus, the Rhapsodic Senshi were formed. Megrez begged for mercy from the other senshi and was stunned when they forgave her. Er Rai said that she and the others would try to find a way to tip the balance in Megrez's world, but that she would be welcome as long as she wanted to stay in this world.

These days, Megrez is trying to adjust to her new life and new friends. She will never be able to fully jettison her baggage from her former life, but she does appreciate that she got the opportunity to start over.

Other Noteworthy Facts: Megrez had a very large plushie collection at home. In her new world, she's trying to start it all over again.
